Unfortunately, our experience at the new facility last night was completely different. We brought our 5-month-old Doberman to the emergency clinic around 10:00 PM after he suddenly showed weakness in his back legs. I carried him in. Despite this, about 20 minutes later staff walked him back to me in the waiting room and asked me to remove his ear post because the doctor said she was uncomfortable doing it herself. After another 30 minutes, the doctor entered and asked the exact same questions we had already answered twice. When I pointed that out, her demeanor noticeably changed. She immediately began discussing genetic conditions, CT scans, MRIs, and surgery--without first performing or even proposing basic diagnostics such as an X-ray. When I asked whether an X-ray had been done, she responded sharply that she hadn't obtained my approval, despite never mentioning or quoting one. At that point, I declined further services and carried our puppy out. Thankfully, he is fine today. We followed up with our regular veterinarian of nearly 20 years, who agreed that monitoring for additional symptoms was the appropriate next step. I fully understand concerns around backyard breeding and puppy mills. However, we purchased our dog from a well-established, reputable breeder, and the judgment we experienced for owning a cropped-ear Doberman was unprofessional and unwarranted--especially during an emergency visit. Based on this experience, I would recommend considering other local emergency clinics. In fact, we stopped by a newly opened ER in Prosper on our way home and were treated far more appropriately.

From the moment we arrived, the staff made us feel cared for. The vet tech saw us quickly, and even though the only vet on staff was in the middle of surgery on a dog, they kept us informed and reassured. At 9:00 at night, I completely understand the wait. Both the vet tech and the vet were caring, gracious, and patient. They understood that we were there for a long time and that we were anxious about Willow. The vet spent more time with us than we typically get at Willow's primary care, answering all of our questions, explaining everything clearly, and making sure we felt comfortable with the plan. The clinic itself felt professional and welcoming. I did notice the floors could have been cleaner, but I'll admit I'm overly picky about that. What mattered most was the quality of care, and that was exceptional. Willow is now much better and mobile again, though we're still being careful with her leg. The price is higher than some other places, but the care and compassion we received here were worth every penny. I'm grateful to have a place like this nearby for emergencies.

Frisco VEG: We…read morecannot say enough good things about the Frisco VEG. During one of the hardest weeks of our lives, their team showed up for our sweet 10 month old kitten, Habanero, with so much compassion and care. Habby was fighting an FIP relapse paired with pneumonia, and from the moment we walked in, we felt supported. The staff took the time to explain everything clearly, answer every question, and treat both our boy and us with genuine kindness. They never made us feel rushed. They understood how much he meant to us. What stood out most was how human they were. They celebrated small wins with us, sat with us in the hard conversations, and treated Habby like he was their own. In moments that felt overwhelming and heartbreaking, their steadiness and empathy made all the difference. We are so grateful to the entire team for fighting for our orange boy and for loving him alongside us. Thank you for honoring him and for taking such good care of our family. RIP Habanero ‍

Everyone seemed very eager to help and made th process smoothe. We liked the open concept because we were able to see the care provided not only to our dog but to the other pets as well. All of the staff worked as such a great team, and the communication between them seemed flawless. We were seen by Dr. Majors, and our tech was Hannah. Both of them were very reassuring and treated Florence like their own. VEG is a very pet family oriented vet, seeing us as a whole and not just a couple people with an animal. When it came time for the price, we were met with such nice transparency, and the DVM was honest with what she recommended and did not try to make us agree to anything that was unnecessary while also making sure we had the option to take all the tests if we so desired. I would absolutely recommend this emergency vet. We have been to another in Carrollton which did not come close to the level of care we experienced here. Thank you!

Horrified beyond measure, I scooped my baby up and jumped into the car to seek medical attention. We have a number of veterinary ERs that have popped up around our McKinney neighborhood, but I opted to risk the extra drive to get my baby into the care of VEG in Allen. While I had never experienced their emergency services, I had experienced their customer service once before--when I had the misfortune of losing her brother on Thanksgiving Day in 2024. We found this place by chance after being treated very coldly and callously by another establishment, which led us to VEG. That experience stuck with me, and thank God it did. In both instances, they treated me and my family with respect, compassion, and great care. Mica had three more mini seizures while in their care, and the staff was immediately on top of it. They were very upfront and clear in their communication, making sure I knew what was happening every step of the way. This allowed me to make informed decisions. It was my biggest fear that I would walk into a grave prognosis--which, on paper, it was documented as such: "grave to guarded." Be that as it may, I truly feel they gave my baby the fighting chance that saved her life. Not once did they bring up euthanasia, and thank goodness, because I don't think my heart could have handled it. I prayed to God to let her see her 12th birthday, which was the very next day, April 2--and sure enough, we made it. She is now 96 hours post-seizure, with no additional episodes since. We were prescribed and provided a rescue dose of midazolam in the event of another seizure, and should it happen again, you can guess where we'll be going. Thank you, specifically, to Dr. Majors, Taylar, and Walter. I am forever grateful for how you cared for us that day. You rolled up your sleeves and sprang into action. May you all serve as the example for how services like this should be rendered. From kissing my baby's forehead, to accommodating all of our needs in such a stressful moment, to sitting on the floor with us--it was all noticed and deeply appreciated. Happy Easter, and thank you again for the gift of a second chance at life.

They told us over the phone that they were not busy and would prioritize Devo's care, so we made the difficult decision to head over there to say goodbye. We believed she had passed on the car ride over, but when we arrived they took her to the back and Dr. Echevarria came to us and said she had a faint heartbeat. We said we wanted to hold her while she passed, and Dr. Echevarria proceeded to disappear for 15 minutes, leaving us in a room while our dog passed alone without us by her side. While this was happening, we were obviously very distressed, asking every employee we saw what was going on and where our dog was. When we finally saw Dr. Echevarria, we asked for our dog so we could hold her, she told us very rudely "we have other patients" and turned away. I cannot believe how heartless and uncompassionate these people are here. I would NEVER ever ever step foot in this place if you are in the vulnerable position of having your dog be at the end of their life. Dr. Echevarria stole our dog from us, stole that moment of being with her as she passed from us, then was rude to us on top of it. Her staff was apologizing to us for her attitude, blaming it on her having worked a long shift, but there is no excuse for what she did to us and our precious dog. She didn't even deserve to have touched my precious baby, let alone keep her from us when she needed us most. I will forever remember this doctor as being one of the most evil people I have ever encountered. DO NOT GO NEAR THIS PLACE.
