Several weeks ago, my wife broke her wrist and after a scary night in the ER, we were referred to Dr. Boiardo for possible surgery. Unlike most surgeons I have dealt with in the past, he initially wanted to avoid surgery to see if the wrist could heal on it's own. But unfortunately we did need the surgery. He had patience with us as we asked dozens of questions. His staff kept us informed the whole time, and his follow up care showed great empathy. I truly believe he is an artist when it comes to his field. He has surrounded himself with a great team of professionals and we felt totally cared for during the entire process. She assisted us in our departure from beginning to end. My mom had a lot of stuff and it would be difficult to maneuver all of that and her dealing with limited mobility. She got bags for her stuff, a cart to help transfer the bags to the car, helped re-organize my trunk to get my mom's wheelchair to fit.. and she did it all with a smile! I would highly recommend this location to anyone who is dealing with a spinal injury (that's the floor that she was on). From the first visit there, Dr. Lee, Sr. and Dr. Winslow made me comfortable and explained everything in detail so that I could understand. This was important to me because I'd never had surgery before. On the day of surgery, Dr. Lee made sure that I was comfortable by making jokes and keeping the air light. Surgery went extremely well and he told me they found that the meniscus was intact but out of place. Post-op, Dr. Lee and his staff have been so helpful. I also want to highlight their nurse, Dawn. I called Dawn a million times a week between getting paperwork done for work, reiteration if doctor's orders, or anything in between.
