I am so so happy I found this place. All the physical therapists here are so kind, patient and knowledgable. Everyone has a unique approach and seeing multiple practitioners was a plus. Each person taught me something different and useful. You can't go wrong with any of the PTs here. They really helped me through a difficult and painful time after I tore my ACL. I feel much better now and have learned skills that I will use in the future. The PT assistants and front desk staff are also lovely and helpful. The acupuncturists are also amazing and I high recommend. Extremely gentle and helped tremendously. read more

To Whom It May Concern, I spoke with Rachel ( receptionist) and asked three times if cupping services were included w/ acupuncture services and was told yes. My brother is sick and has trouble sleeping. Both acupuncture and cupping work best to heal his health issues. I made Rachel aware that my brother was not to be spoken to about anything additional and was clear on the services needed for him. He was charged $55 for services and NOT provided full services. He has difficulty advocating for himself which is why I called for clarity in advance several times. Rachel stated afterwards, he should have just asked if that is what he needed which is quite upsetting to hear. This company should be true to their word and serve clients according to what they advertise and agree to over the phone. If someone is on the spectrum Or too ill to say exactly what it is they need, I would hope that they should receive the same care and quality service as anyone. I can honestly say I'm terribly disappointed with the response and my brother being charged for services he did not fully receive. With the way this situation was handled I can say I would not feel comfortable referring anyone to your establishment. read more

So grateful to John Kauffman ( owner ) and his outstanding PT staff Amy , Olivia , John . Everyone from office manager Kim , front desk Priscilla and acupuncturist Jessica were awesome . I had PT for my shoulder prior to surgery for 2 months hoping it would do the trick with John . Unfortunately it didn't ,NOT the fault of PT staff at all . And they really worked on my shoulder manually. I just happened to have a severe case . I went back post surgery for another 2 months with Amy . Even during quarantine. John truly cared about ppl like me which PT post surgery is VITAL . Everybody was amazing . It's truly a neighborhood, family kinda of place . I went to Core after a meniscus surgery that didn't go well. I had a cyst behind the knee which made it more painful and complicated. I can't recommend John K. and the entire staff enough. It's the "Cheers" of Nutley. I wish I could go there once per week on a permanent basis to fix what ails me and get in a good work out. John immediately put me on the path to recovery, after the first session, I felt better. Literally limped in and walked out. Very unlike the last place I went to after the same surgery on my other knee. After a couple of sessions, I was offered acupuncture which was amazing and also helped to get rid of the different pains shooting up and down my knee, leg, and ankle. As time went on, I explained what ailed me and it was fixed or improved during each session. The place is clean, open, a lot of natural light, and has great equipment. After two months of going 2x per week and then tapering to 1x per week, I am working on the rest of recovery at home. I've never been so sad to end PT. read more

I've been to a few physical therapy places and Core Physical Therapy by far is the best. Other places, I felt like I was just another patient. They seemed to be more about the money, then actually working with me, my payments and my schedule. I started going in January when I initially thought I had a bad muscle strain in my shoulder. My doctor recommended I try physical therapy first before ruling out anything. I was seeing Zach and he did great. Within a couple weeks I had regained most of my range of motion and I was feeling great but I realized I reached a plateau. After having an MRI I found out my issue was much worse and had to have shoulder surgery. After working with John and Zach for a little over a month, my doctor is impressed with my recovery and so am I. Each day I get a little stronger. I loved them so much, I convinced my family to go to them and they are having wonderful results. I don't feel like just a patient there. The staff at Core Physical Therapy is wonderful. They are all very attentive and friendly. They were willing to work with me when it came to payments ans scheduling. When I first attended therapy after my surgery, I would have to schedule joint appointments for myself and my father and even if their schedule was packed, they found a way to make time for me and my father. Any questions I have about my recovery they are willing to answer. I can email them a question on a Saturday and I get a response that day. My dad has been seeing them for about a month after having knee replacement surgery. He had been going to another place for a couple months and his progress was horrible. I convinced him to try Core and it seems like within a month, the swelling in his knee has gone down and it seems to be getting straighter. read more

Both my husband and I have needed PT and luckily chose CORE. John is great at his job-not only does he help you get results and get back on your feet literally, he helps you to understand what the issues are and what the plan is to get you to where you need to be. PT is not easy, it's work, but this is a great place to do that work. It's a comfortable environment, everyone there (both staff and other patients) are pleasant. It can be busy, yet it never seems crowded and John and his team do an incredible job with each person. This is not an assembly line situation at all. They know you and what you're working on.
