Their thorough and honest evaluation uncovered a long list of mechanical and cosmetic issues that the dealership failed to disclose -- and ultimately saved me from buying a ticking time bomb. They found replaced front fenders, bumper, and hood with overspray and missed paint areas, missing mud flaps, wheel center caps, and antenna, a broken mirror, and brake pads barely passing at 4/32. Even more concerning were leaking front axle seals, an upper oil pan leak with residue on the lower pan (which requires the engine to be pulled to repair), and two open recalls that hadn't been addressed. Their attention to detail and clear communication gave me peace of mind and likely saved me thousands in future repairs. However - this inspection was $140, and this shop wasn't able to help me fix several of the "fails", meaning I had to reach out to yet ANOTHER shop (the Ford dealership) and get it sorted. Found out the Ford dealership (and several other shops in the area) do these same state car inspections for under $100... $85 at Ford to be precise, sponsored by the Maryland State Police. So I drove on it and put air in every time I stopped for gas. When I finally got to my destination I was able to remove the wheel and find the screw. I plugged it myself and moved on. Maybe the techs there need better training or something. I don't think they really removed the wheel. I frequent Mr tire for everything to include oil changes when I don't have the time. I will continue to use the one by BJs but not the one in Lexington park. Sorry.
