Incompetence plus ineptitude plus stupidity compounded by idiocy. Oh, and customer service is rude and uncaring. What's not to like?

I was with my dog, waiting on my company's roadside assistance and feeling pretty vulnerable. Chris Sorenson stopped, immediately reassured me, and promised he wouldn't leave until I was taken care of and he kept that promise. His calm, professionalism, and genuine kindness turned a scary situation into one where I felt safe and supported. He handled everything efficiently and with care, but more importantly, he showed up as a human when it mattered most. Five stars doesn't feel like enough. Thank you, Chris ...truly.

Here are the facts: Chisholm Trail Parkway - about 7 minutes of driving - $2.80 Completely reasonable and what any driver would expect. On Tarrant Pkwy / North Tarrant Express: Outbound trip - less than 7 minutes - $51 Return trip - after exiting Chisholm Trail Parkway, I was on local roads for roughly 5 minutes, then entered Tarrant Pkwy / North Tarrant Express again: About 11 minutes of travel - $78.45 Total on Tarrant Pkwy / North Tarrant Express: $129.45 When you look at the timestamps on the statement, these are not single tolls. They are multiple charges stacking up within minutes of each other, creating a total cost that is completely disproportionate to the time spent on the road. This is directly supported by the billing data. Final comparison: About 7 minutes on Chisholm Trail Parkway - $2.80 About 18 minutes total on Tarrant Pkwy / North Tarrant Express - $129.45 Same area. Same day. Within minutes of each other. There is no reasonable way for a driver to anticipate that one toll road would cost a few dollars, while another would cost over $100 for a similar duration of travel. If you're driving in this area: Do not assume toll roads are priced similarly Be extremely cautious using Tarrant Pkwy / North Tarrant Express Check your statements carefully No one expects triple-digit toll charges for short trips. In my opinion, drivers deserve far more transparency so they can make informed decisions before entering the road.

Outrageous I did speak to an agent from the Denton office who was excellent in explaining what was told to me previously. Had she read that letter which she told me I didn't know what I talking about and I should learn to read better. It explained that by that letter of acknowledgment, it was protected. We were called up to window #5 and the gentlemen who helped me was great. He was very quick with my request but not in a rush kind of way. He was super nice while fulfilling my request. Thank you McKinney office for getting me on my way quickly and having it go smoothly!

A few others came and hour later and it was still quiet. While the hearing was going on, I sat in the waiting area and talked to the individual providing security. He is actually part of Homeland Security, he's not a contract business. Found that interesting. He was a great guy, passed the hour and half pretty fast chatting with him since it wasn't busy. Place is clean. There was another older gentleman on the other side of the sliding glass window answering phones. That was sort of weird actually, he was a bit loud even even with the window closed. Building is nice. Not sure it's age, tho it doesn't look old. Been well kept. Exterior shares a cobblestone drive courtyard with a high rise hotel. It's really pretty out there with all of the trees. If you come here, it's because you have to, it's not a place to recommend as it's not an elective place to attend. Tho, if you do have to come, it's a pleasant experience.

My appointment was scheduled for 1:20 p.m., and through pure operator error (completely my fault), I accidentally went to the wrong location. I had went to the Texas department of transportation. Then I drove to McKinney location only to realize my appointment wasn't there either it was in Plano, about 30 minutes away. Talk about panic mode! I had been waiting for this appointment since last August and thought I had completely blown it. By the time I arrived in Plano, I was late, stressed, desperately needed a restroom, and was convinced I'd be marked as a no-show. That's when I met Ms. Mona. She greeted me with kindness, directed me to the kiosk, and when my ticket showed "No Show," she didn't just send me away. She calmly suggested I speak with the representative at the window because they might still be able to work me in, even though they were very busy. That little bit of encouragement gave me hope. Then I met Ms. Esther, and she was nothing short of an angel. Everything that could go wrong seemed to go wrong. My utility bill had the wrong address, so I had to email new proof of residency. I realized my vehicle registration was still in my car, so I had to run back outside to get it. Then I needed my veteran's proof of service...another trip to the car. I was definitely getting my steps in that afternoon! To top it all off, I accidentally emailed my documents to the wrong email address because I forgot part of the address and even misspelled "department." I was rushing, overwhelmed, and honestly on the verge of a panic attack. Through every bit of it, Ms. Esther never once acted frustrated. No eye rolls. No impatience. No attitude. She was patient, professional, encouraging, and genuinely kind. She gave me until 2:40 p.m. to get everything submitted, and thanks to her grace, I finally got checked in at 2:49 p.m. My number was called at 3:28 p.m., and I walked out with my new Texas driver's license at 4:09 p.m. Looking back, every single problem that day was my own doing. Had I slowed down, double-checked the address, and organized my paperwork before leaving home, the appointment would have been smooth. But instead of making me feel worse, the staff treated me with compassion and respect. The facility itself was clean, with plenty of parking, clean restrooms, ample seating, and friendly employees throughout the building. Thank you, Ms. Mona, for giving me hope when I thought I'd lost my appointment. Thank you, Ms. Esther, for your patience, your professionalism, and your kindness. You probably don't realize it, but you saved me from a panic attack, a migraine, and a whole lot of tears that afternoon. Customer service like yours deserves to be recognized. Thank you for turning one of the most stressful days into one I'll actually remember with gratitude

I didn't exactly clock how long it took me, but I was in and out and back on the road well before my scheduled appointment time and the person I worked with could not have been more pleasant!

And while I don't want to trivialize other users' experiences, I also take it with a grain of salt because it's one perspective without giving opportunity for other side to give their take on the situation. Plano PD can only do the things within the confines of what they're able to enforce. Many times they go above and beyond but don't presume that should be the expectation. So when another reviewer says that Plano PD couldn't do anything for their situation with uncle, it's probably the system that's tied their hands. They can't enforce a law that's not there so you're expecting something that's not for the police to handle. Then with another reviewer's situation with being blocked. Sorry but enforcement of violations trumps inconveniencing you. Also, for the family member with mental illness. You don't wait till it gets to that point and expect the police to know and fix your problems in a volatile situation. Need to be proactive especially if it's someone you supposedly care about. Don't rely on others to put in the work. Generally I will say Plano PD has been great. I see way too many infractions that I care to count though that would've been nice if the police would've caught. I wonder if I have video evidence of these infractions if the police can do anything about it after the fact but I guess that's a slippery slope of law enforcement. Still, it's quite annoying when people cut me off countless times and that in and of itself is frustrating but at least use their blinker when changing lanes!
