It was so soothing & ethereal. I tried out the very cold, plunge pool multiple times since I have read of its ice cold "rejuvenating powers" & it certainly was invigorating. We also spent time in the Moroccan-themed pods, enjoyed the steam room (we skipped the sauna), the waterfall pool &, capped off our Zen evening sitting by the firepit, perusing the night sky for shooting stars. Although we thought that the obligatory tip added to our bill/reservation was a tad high, our evening of pools with their ubiquitous & strong jacuzzi jets, star/mountain & deer gazing & quietude (there is a dedicated "shhh" person who walks around, reminding folks to not talk) was worth the price. You will be supplied with terry robes & showers are available to rinse off as well as lockers, as well as a dining area. Enjoy your time here as we did!

Three hot Jacuzzi pools, cold and tepid pools with a waterfall (oh my), eucalyptus steam room, 3 dry saunas, a relaxation room with wood stove and zero gravity lounge chairs, massages, and treatments of all types. A perfect day in snowy conditions!! When you are in the hot pools you have a perfect view of a rushing creek running by the spa. Very idyllic and so refreshing!!

With hot saunas and steam baths inside, hot and cold pools outside as well and relaxation tents and a Finnish sauna, they also provide massages, facials and everything else you'd expect at a spa. They have an amazing after 5pm deal which allows you to use their facilities for a mere $23. Bring your bathing suit, bathrobe, flip flops and home facial masks. I usually do the sauna, then the cold waterfall river dip, then the relaxation room circuit about three times to get the full effect and then chill out in their atriums with my mask on and shower everything off afterwards. Watching the waterfalls while inside inside the hot sauna, and then dipping into the frigid waters afterwards, will kickstart anyone's system. You will walk out a new person.

Why do I love this place? First of all is the location, it is nestled on a small island which…read moremakes it feel like a vacation retreat. I have been here many times to use the baths and have a relaxing massage, both in the summer and winter. All my visits were 5-star, now you may find a spa with newer tubs, larger saunas, fancy entrances but this place has charm and to me charm, cleanliness, attentive staff is what it is all about. Take a book and relax in one of the quiet areas, of course after you've been in the hottubs, steam room, and sauna. Even take a nap on a hammock, in season of course. They also offer overnight stays which I would consider, but I'm so close it seems a bit much.

The facility is very clean and welcoming, while the back area - with the 3 hot tubs, pool and saunas - has a quiet noise level all the time to ensure everyone can just relax. I would definitely come back. Pros - Very relaxing and an array of things to do (saunas, restaurant, pool, hot tubs). - Price of the hotel stay was inexpensive, especially since it was the weekend of the Roger's Cup finals - 30 minute drive to Montreal - Surrounding city is beautiful - Continental breakfast was good - Service is very friendly and willing to help out in any way they can Cons - Hotel room door was broken and we had issues everytime we locked it - The bridge to get to the hotel is very narrow and may be difficult for larger cars to get through

I'll be honest, I'm a total spa snob. The Spa At Stowe Mountain Lodge might be the best I have ever…read moreexperienced. Just walking through the door into the storefront where you check in for your treatment is cathartic on its own with soothing smells, good lighting, and kind smiles from welcoming staff. The [very clean] locker rooms are equipped with everything you'd expect from a quality spa (soft robes, great showers, top-notch toiletries, hairdryers, etc). The relaxation room is warm (in every sense of the word) and calming. There are lounge chairs covered in pillows right by a fireplace with a gorgeous view of Stowe Mountain. There are snacks, handbagged tea, and icy cold coconut water. It's a perfect place to start your unwinding journey. The water lounge is like it was taken out of a magazine, and if I hadn't already been signed up for a salt scrub, I would have spent much of my time in there. The steam room is dimly lit with the sounds of a rainstorm, the steam infused with eucalyptus. The sauna smells like a cherry wood forest and the natural warmth from the himalayan salts inside is grounding. My actual treatment was otherworldly, which is what my therapist told me it would be; she kept her word. I'm running out of words to describe it, but I will say that I felt like I had shed my skin like a snake and that both my skin and spirit were completely renewed. I cannot recommend this spa more. If you're in the area, don't miss it.

O heads up if you are looking for quiet and relaxing. This is not it. If you want big family reunion bridal, or mom's weekend away. This might be your spot.
