We have done a major remodel to our house making it more elder friendly. My wife had done her due diligence researching local moving companies. Atmosphere made it past her scrutiny. First of all, I am not someone to ever leave a review even if someone were to spit in food. The manager (assumed) was very unhelpful along with all employees active that day. If there was a way to give 0 stars I would. We had to cancel our pickup time due to weather and we got snap responses on how they waited "all day" for us to show up. The pickup time was one hour in the morning. When I dropped off the furniture a gentlemen named Jeremy helped out and was kind and helpful. We came the next day in the pooring rain just to get welcomed by nobody to pick up our furniture. And when ask questions they just responded with "I do this all the time - I know what I'm doing" "This is what I do for a living" and then they walked away and offered NO HELP while it's raining. We walked away soaking wet and in distress as they were laughing and pointing. So, we retaliated words until we were waterlogged enough to go our separate ways. Now I used to work in the service/manual labor industry. I have seen workers this these (other than Jeremy) they don't last any time in the industry. The complain regarding there wages but are too supine to get up and great a customer with a smile (weather fake or real) and kiss ass for a buck. They lack this quality (other than Jeremy) The manager stood and laughed as well as there 3 workers were fulminating words at us. To not be shy, we exchanged words back with them. It was a torrential downpour and everyone was animated (us respectfully had reasons - since we expected service) I wish I had gathered there names. The manager (again, assumed) was there too just watching and laughing at us putting our furniture in the rain. Poor ethic business / Don't ever go here - if they have this attitude in front of their customers - could you imagine what they are doing when storing your precious, valuable furniture. I could only assume they are not taking care of it with scratches and throwing stuff around. Prices are affordable, but I guess you get what you pay for with horrible service. This was a great experience from the first phone call to the paying of the bill. The man that gave me the price was friendly, knowledgeable and professional. The movers called to let me know how far away they were and had no problem switching to the second address first and the first address second for my move. Update on my previous review: We moved again this week (a year later) and had the same great experience. The setup and scheduling was easy and I received multiple confirmations of billing and timeframe from the office. The movers themselves were friendly and did a great job with some antique/fragile pieces combined with a narrow staircase. The whole move was under 3 hours - couldn't ask for better. Hopefully we'll stay put a few years, but if not, we'll be back! read more

HORRIBLE move that started with the packers arriving 2 hours late and leaving 2 hours early with half the house left to pack. They were to be back at 830 the next morning, but were a no-show. When we called to see where they were, we were told the business owner (Chet) had decided to send them home based on misinformation he was provided by the lead packer about their progress the day before. He was going to have the loading crew finish the packing. LMAO at that! Two packers arrived after 10 a.m. On the day of the move ... which was still well before the movers, who were supposed to be on-site at 9. Chet promised we would be loaded and gone by 2 ... then 4 ... with an 1800 sf load with garage and store building. More laughing. We pulled away at 6 pm. The problems: - Items were literally dumped into boxes with no wrapping - A new mattress and box springs was placed on the wet, muddy ground by one of the loaders and stained beyond cleaning. We were offered $50! - Opened Paper plates were wrapped! - A 60+year old dish that was my Mom's WAS NOT wrapped and was broken. I know this cooking bowl had survived at least 15 moves (9 commercial) until Atmosphere got ahold of it. Thanks, packers! - An old ceramic pitcher that was the LAST thing I had of my Granny's had the handle broken off in a loosely packed box. I don't know how old it was, but I'm 67. Again, it had survived double-digit moves and being handled by me and 25 of my cousins as we grew up. - in the scramble to get things packed after they put themselves behind by 6 hours, the packers literally started throwing things in boxes. Imagine opening a box a finding syrup on everything! Thanks, packers! - Instead of using their packing supplied, which we paid for, they used our towels and kitchen linen to wrap items. AMAZING! The two drivers were awesome! They delivered on time and represented the company so very well and were the bright spot in the massive cluster bang. As we unpacked, we discovered other items other than these, but these top the chart. As noted, we were offered $50 for the damage to the new bedding. We withheld $400, but how do you place a value on the personal items that were destroyed. Don't confuse this company with Mayflower,or even little West Brothers Moving in Tarboro, NC., because they aren't. We used Atmospehere because we had previously used them on a cross-town move in St. Tammany with no issues and their price was competitive. In hindsight, we should spent $1,000 more with another mover ... but money is tight due to medical issues and hindsight is ALWAYS 20/20x read more

Giving them 3 stars until we resolve our issue. The movers themselves were professional and ftiendly and very efficient loading the truck. However, they assured us they had piano expertise and then sent insufficient resources to complete the task at hand once they arrived at their destination, They left us holding the bag for our most important possession, *and* they overcharged us for a move they didn't even technically complete. read more
