Blue Hills Ranch is a can't miss experience. The staff were so incredibly welcoming, warm, and…read moreknowledgable. They went above and beyond to make us feel like family and at home. The animals are so well taken care of and loved. It was truly a once in a lifetime experience, and we are so glad to have stayed there. Special shout out to Allen the Chef who made some of the most delicious meals I have had and Anne and Jackie who were so knowledgeable about otters and kangaroos. We also loved Dundee (their baby kangaroo.)

The place was clean and just the right size for my wife and I. Being city folks you forget how dark it is out in the country at nights. It was nice. We signed up for these adventures to make the weekend even more fun: 1. Feed baby kangaroo(Bodhi). This was about a 30 minute session where we got to feed him a bottle and kibble. It really was an amazing experience. 2. Bucket of food and self guided feeding of animals. We walked the property and hid to feed so many animals. All of the animals were friendly toward people. They were all very good motivated. We encountered a giraffe, donkeys, zebras, horses, cows, pigs, dwarf steers, camels, emu, deer, buffalo and more. The animals were often trying to bully their way to the front of the line. The cow Oreo who has not skipped a meal was always front of the line. 3. Afternoon safari ride in ATV. This was a fun ride around the property. Did not see any new animals but had a great time. The cows out at pasture were thrilled to be fed. 4. Giraffe encounter and meal. This was a little expensive but I would spend it again. The giraffes were super friendly and personable. We wanted to take them home because they were so much fun. The guide, experience and never felt rushed made this worth it. Our guide was top notch. I think her name was Jackie but could be wrong.

I understand that this is the only hotel in town. I get that. I do not, however, accept that this…read moreis a good hotel. It isnt even a decent one. The overwhelming aroma of wet dog/vet office hits you right in the nasals as soon as you open the main door. There are crickets, living and dead, in the hallway. There were at least two dead ones in my actual room. My cousin and aunt stayed in a room that just recently changed to non-smoking and still reeked of cigarette butthole. My room stank like old man feet on a hot day. And it was a hot day with little relief when we arrived at the hotel after being out all day because they turn off the A/C while you're out. SICK. I get that you're trying to conserve energy, but help a sister out and put in a ceiling fan or something then! The beds felt like slabs of rock and the sheets didnt feel very clean. The pillows are useless and flat. Only reasons this is two stars instead of one is because the staff were relatively friendly and there is plenty of parking. That's all I got. Oh wait, it has a pool. A small pool and I did not have time to take a dip, but I saw it. I told my sister that next time we have to stay in the area, we should splurge and shoot for at least the Comfort Inn in Waco.

The charming couple of Meth heads walking around really added a "down home" character to the place. This place must be the trade school you go to so you can learn how to make meth. The smell was INCREDIBLE! It is a wonder it didn't take the paint off my car. NEVER AGAIN.

We were assigned to room 106, where we noticed the bathroom tub was peeling, and the microwave did not function properly. On a more positive note, the fridge kept our drinks cold, and the A/C was very cold. Considering our experience, I'm not too sure if we would stay again. Nevertheless, the hotel's price was quite reasonable.

I walk in and ask during check about rooms with carpet. The female employee told me NONE of the rooms have carpet. I checked the Extended Stay website for the Woodway location and IT showed rooms with carpet too. The pictures on YELP are NOT ACCURATE! Not one room has carpet!!! I asked for a refund and she said if I canceled, I would not receive a refund because the reservation was non-cancellation. I would not have booked the room had I known they had no carpet. They advertised a room that they DO NOT HAVE and then refused to refund my money. This is FRAUD!!! Needless to say, I WILL NOT BE RETURNING! AND, I will be sure to post this review to warn other consumers. They do not value consumers who spend their hard earned money woth them only to be treated so poorly. They should be put out of business

Came here for a recent weekend trip to Waco. The price was right! Look out, because this location…read moreis actually quite a bit south of Waco proper - there is a second location in the heart of downtown. I liked that the room feels like a generous suite with a separate bedroom - ideal for families who may want to use the "master" for parents and the fold-out sectional couch in the "living room" for the kids. The best part of the hotel was the pool. It's an indoor/outdoor arrangement, with beautiful tile and grille work windows open to the outdoors. The pool was heated to bathtub temperature and the hot tub was HOT - absolutely perfect for relaxation. There's a small gym room if you want it and a "business center" which consists of a nice looking desk, printer and lamp shoved in the corner of the lobby. The free breakfast in the morning was decent - scrambled eggs, meats, make-your-own-waffle (shaped like the state of Texas, natch) some bananas, some yogurt. Coffee and juice, of course. I have to ding it a star because the fire alarm in the room appeared to be dysfunctional - I didn't notice until I was checking out that there was a plastic grocery bag tied around it. Yikes. The elevator appeared to be on its last legs - the door got caught several times. All in all, not a bad stay.
