Tried to talk with front desk but was ignored. Carpet was spotted (unclean), toilet tissue holder had been ripped from the wall and put back on many times, leaving all the different holes, the wall paper was coming off the wall and the TV didn't work. Mattresses and pillows were lumpy and needed to be replaced. We went to breakfast and used the toaster which would not stop toasting, unplugged it to stop the burning toast, no help was to be found. When the attendant came back, she took out the burnt toast and laid it on the table, and plugged broken toaster up and walked away. This was an upgrade to a King Suite! read more

I have never left a one star review for a Hampton Inn nor have I ever walked out of one before now. The smell in the hallway walking to the room wasnt pleasant, but the smell with our first steps into the room practically knocked me out! I refused to take off my shoes for starters. I tried to humor my husband since it was late and turned on the AC trying to get rid of the horrendous smell. Then I started to cough and I couldn't take a deep breathe. The only other time I had this type of reaction was to a severely moldy basement in a house we looked at. Not only was this carpet totally disgusting, but notice in the photos how it looks as if nothing had been dusted or cleaned. The final straw was the gross pillow case. The girl at the front desk did kindly offer us another recently updated room. Not wanting to be difficult, we checked it out. The carpet was definitely better- but I've included photos of that room too. You can see the curtains looked like someone puked on them. And this was supposedly the clean updated room! The Vent also was gross, blowing cool air over who knows what. This place needs to be shut down until they get their act together. read more

Disgusting. Don't stay here. Carpets filthy throughout. Visible mildew in the AC Visible mildew on the curtains. I tracked some type of black greasy goo barefoot into the shower. Common areas not clean. I'm a diamond Hilton member and have stayed in MANY Hilton properties. This is place has reviews similar to the Waco Motel 6. I wish I would have read the reviews before I booked here. I would give 0 stars if that was an option. I contacted corporate directly instead of the local management. Since the bad reviews go back months with the same complaints, it's likely local management is complicit and should be fired. read more

Unfortunately, we have to stay here again because of the game. And any place better is already full. This room was so much cleaner and in better shape than 405. The mattress however you can feel ever spring! They have actually mowed the weeds...it's just dead grass and short weeds!!! The TV is fine but the remotes are a total joke!!! Turn the TV on and the DirecTV guide poos up...that would be great if they even had DirecTV. The hotel uses Dish and all channels are in standard definition on a HD TV nothing clear. read more

Being a Hilton Awards member I pre booked my 3-night stay for this hotel. Upon arrival, I was told the room I had picked out on line was not available because the hotel does not have digital locks. So, they offered to upgrade my room. The room upgrade was NOT an upgrade. A larger room yes - but the jacuzzi tub was out of order. The ice machine on the 4th floor was out of order. The light above the sink did not work. I reported this to the front desk and it was never addressed. The "ICE" on the cake was the heater in the room was not functioning correctly and I woke up to a room temperature of 62 degrees. VERY - VERY disappointed in this stay. There are other Hilton properties available in Waco - I suggest you choose wisely. read more

We checked in later in the day and our room had no face towels. Pull out bed mattress cover was dirty. No linen for the pull out bed either. Called the office twice and they kept saying we have some at the front you can come get it. I felt like they should have brought it since it should have already been in the room. I think that it is important to say that while I do understand that many in the work force have not returned to their jobs, I think that businesses will have to make those adjustments regarding what they can offer the public. I am a Diamond member of the Hilton Honors Program. With that comes extra perks. This hotel did not recognize me as a member at check in. The outside doors had tear away seals that are broken upon entry. I am sure to let you know that your room has been clean and sanitized. Upon entering my room, I always do a walk thru because I am a faithful reviewer for Hilton. The bathroom had pubic hair on the floor and the floor baseboards were unclean and covered with dust, there were no cups in the bathroom and the trash cans did not have liners in them. The cabinet that held the mini frig was torn up. We parked in the back parking lot and entered thru the back door. At one point when we came in, someone had put a rug to hold the door open. The following day 4 different guest tried their room keys and we all were unable to enter. When we finally got in, I immediately went to the front and spoke with the person on staff, and he said he knew and that he would just go put some tape on the door. WOW This property web page says they offer a full breakfast, but that is not the case. I am sure that things are changing weekly due to Covid. I would recommend checking if that is something that is important to your family. The pool was closed due to maintenance. This is not a Hilton property that I would consider staying at again, I would recommend staying at another Hilton property before settling on this one. read more

While I haven't traveled much in a while - was extreamly pleased with the Hampton inn at marketplace. The staff there is by far the friendliest I have ever met in all my worldwide travels. The reception staff gets to know you personally and and Wanda as well as the team putting together the breakfast are exceptional and go well beyond the expected to make sure our stay was the best possible. Incredible team pride. I was traveling with a team from Asia and as we checked out this morning they complimented how wonderful and friendly the team has been through the stay. Stayed here for two days, Fourth of July and the fifth, with my wife. We arrived after driving 10 hours across Texas on our way to Galveston. On the outside the hotel is gorgeous. The lobby and reception area was immaculate and well-kept. Edward, the desk man, was helpful, professional, and courteous. Walking into our room, it was very lovely as well. We started unpacking and settling in for two days. It was then we found the condition of the shower floor. Disgusting! Additionally there was no soapdish and no suitcase stand in the room. We went to tell Edward about the conditions and he was somewhat apologetic and offered us 50% off the nightly rate. He remarked that the Suitcase stands were no longer standard but would inform housekeeping to get us a soapdish and tend to the shower floor. After being out and about for the day we came back and found a shower floor in the same condition and no soapdish. As we went out to dinner, we stopped and talk to Edward again about the two items and also explain that we bought shower shoes in order to use the shower. After returning from dinner we were pleasantly surprised that we did have a soapdish; however, the shower floor was still in the same condition. All in all we love Hilton properties, however I wish this Hampton Inn would've attended to the shower cleanliness a bit better. This has been our worst stay at a Hampton Inn. We stayed for two nights. They did not clean or refresh the room after the first night...we had to go downstairs to get towels for the 2nd night. They said it was protocol for COVID, but that doesn't make a lot of sense since they clean the rooms after people leave. The cabinet under the the TV was severely dilapidated and the door wouldn't close. Also, one of the drawers wouldn't go in all the way. We needed to give our grandson a bath but there was no stopper available for the tub so we had to use a washcloth to stop it up. Hampton Inn has really gone downhill and we won't be staying at one anytime in the near future! read more

Went to book the king bed with a Jacuzzi tub from the Hilton website. Starting off the price showed $167.00 and as i went to book the room the price changed to $209.00. So i found the phone number for the front desk 254-662-9500 to see if they would honor the price they had shown. The gentlemen that answered the phone was not friendly or helpful! When i asked the question if they would honor what they had on their own website? He said "No" then he followed up to tell me that all the rooms that had working Jacuzzi were taken and only broken ones were left. I asked the question why would you still show these room to be available if the ones you have left are broken? He had no answer. For such a reputable hotel this is probably the worse service Ive ever had.... Management needs to check their establishment and who they higher. read more

I spent two weeks at this Hampton Inn on a business trip in a king suite, and for a fairly cheap business travel hotel, it was pretty great. The staff at check-in were friendly and attentive. The room was spacious with plenty of room to spread out for a two week stay. The hotel gym and hot tub were so nice and new you really feel like you could be in any 4 or 5 star hotel. The bed was super comfortable with 5 different kinds of pillows to choose from, I had a perfectly restful night sleep. The outstanding feature this hotel offers is an unbelievably large breakfast buffet with really anything you could possibly be craving in the morning. It's really almost absurd how many options you have for breakfast. The last amenity I enjoyed at this hotel was their laundry service. Not a single sock missing, my shirts were dry cleaned exactly as I had asked, and it was ready and waiting for me by 5pm. Overall, if you have to be in Waco, this is probably the newest, nicest place to stay in town. No complaints, hands down I would recommend this hotel. read more

A pretty great hotel in South Waco. It's a little older on the inside than it looks on the outside (the floors are super creaky), but it's comfortable, modern looking, and generally a nice place to stay. The staff is super friendly and they offer a nice free breakfast. In my room, the bathroom was laid out kind of funny/exactly opposite to how it probably should have been (the shower door was on the wrong side and opened the wrong way), but this was an oddity and not a complaint. I wish I'd had time to check out the pool. I will on my next visit. read more

Unfortunately this hotel should not be rated 3 stars. If I had more energy after driving I would have left and went to another hotel. It was DIRTY!!! EVERYWHERE! The room wasn't as bad as the rest of the hotel and already the sheets smell and seemed clean but it was dusty and the tv remote had some kid of black scuzzz all over the buttons even tho it was wrapped in the Hilton Clean promise and in a plastic bag just like the sticker on the door. The shower was okay but it was still wet? And a little bit of scum around the corners. The laundry room was trashed and the pool area was not clean. I'm not sure why this is a 3star hotel. We booked a hot tub room for our 10 yr anniversary and was so excited to get to have that in our room! NOWHERE on this booking did it state that the hot tub was "disabled". So we booked, and paid $170 for this room, only to check in and get to the room and find out the sole reason we paid that much, does not even work. We called and were told there was NOTHING they could do about it. Because we booked through Trivago there was no refund, nothing they could knock off, and no credit. This was our 10yr anniversary and when i tell you we were so upset at how we were treated... thats an understatement. We will never stay there again. read more

Bobbie is an excellent front desk staffer, Came in from California to try out the new BSR one of a kind wavepool. Staff was kind and courteous, especially Bobbie! We were a bit jet lagged and missed housekeeping as we forgot and left our do not disturb sign out. We let her know when we found out in the evening, and even though housekeeping had already left, she made sure we restocked on all the things we needed. And we were hungry and she gave us great tips on local food. She knew how to welcome us and even told us she had lived in California too! Thanks for hiring such great staff. This Hampton Inn use to be top notch. Now the South Hampton location suffers from maintenance neglect, lack of updates, and quite frankly it's simply tired. The grounds are terrible looking. This Hampton Inn is deceptive in its booking rates. It will quote a much cheaper rate online ($105.00) but will not honor the rate if you check in at the hotel (159.00). Do not make this very costly mistake as I did. I am a member of AAA and AARP which should qualify for a discount. My husband is a Hilton Honors member and qualifies for a discount. When questioned about the difference in the rate the desk clerk simply stated that they do not honor online rates. I will not say that she was rude but she certainly was not helpful. I believe that customers should be able to trust a business to not misrepresent their prices online and then gouge you for an additional $50.00+. Hopefully this will save others from having Hampton Inn basically steal money from them. I know that in the future, I will always verify their rate at check in. I will not be fooled twice. In addition, the hotel cleanliness is adequate at best. The front desk is lukewarm as far as friendliness and the most courteous employees were the staff working the kitchen area at breakfast. I know others that plan to travel to the Waco area and I will be certain to not recommend this Hampton Inn to them. I'm sure there are many other hotels, etc. where you can enjoy your stay for much less money. read more

please stay at this hampton inn at market street. this is a great place pool, beds,rooms, breakfast, staff, are all awesome. don't stay at the the other hampton inn that is in waco. it's not safe. they overcharge you, have bed bugs, the whirlpool does not work, they will double bill you, staff rude, my door looked like someone tried to break in my room, it's not safe in the parking lot at night, mold in the ac vent in my room, and i have the pictures. i was told this hampton inn at 4259 north i-35 is under a different management which is very bad. the management team is ommaney smith and courtney scivally. don't stay there. i stayed on oct 5, 2019 and booked my other 3 days at market square hampton inn. i have pics and videos of how they talk bad to the customers. i was in total shock how hilton has allowed this hotel to use it's name. robert 832-326-9294 read more

I am a huge fan of Hilton and this specific chain of hotels BUT this particular location really needs to work on being more friendly. It wasn't terrible it was just not impressive. The other Hampton Inn down the freeway and the one up in Hillsboro really set the bar high and this location didn't meet those expectations.
