I had to order some awards for work, and I had no idea where to go. This place was recommended to me, so off I went. When I walked in to the store I was immediately greeted by the husband and wife team who run the shop. It was great chatting with them particularly when I learned that they had been in business for more than 40 years. It is rare that I find long time local businesses, but when I do, I love to support them. Even though it was my first vist, I was treated if I was a long term customer. I can't say enough good things about those folks. My order was ready in a few days and it far exceeded my expectations. I can't show you pictures of the awards since they have names on them, but trust me when I tell you they were awesome. If you want old school trophies, they have those too, but these were clear acrylic and super professional looking. The people who received the awards were happy and so was I.

I get paying for convenience but wow. Hours later, I called River Banks on a whim and the lady who answered did not hesitate. She gave me 3 options, VERY reasonable prices, and said she needed 3 hours to have it ready. I exhaled a sigh of relief. The finished product was BEAUTIFUL. I'm telling everyone I know. Job was not within time frame given, job was not done correctly, I was blamed for…read morewanting what I asked for (which was for everything to have the same sized font) in the owner telling me 'if you didn't want so many words I could have done it, it's fine, I worked for two hours on it'. When I reminded her that the agreement we made was that she would call me if she could not fit everything in the font I requested. She hung on me after saying 'so you're not paying, I won't forget this'. Unprofessional. Behind the times in terms of engraving/computer language, machinery/tools, artistic ability and options to pay (cash & checks only). But none of that bothered me because I wanted to shop local and support a small business. But the customer service was so bad, that I found a way to leave a review. Will never recommend.
