Fidel came out the same day I called for a free, through inspection & estimate. His crew was available in my time line. Tony called first to notify they were on their way. Arrived on time, respected my 100 year old house, put mats down & visqueen up to keep the dust & dirt contained. About 6 guys took 3 vacuums & went right to work, cleaning up 2 kinds of 100 year old insulation, building materials, mummified possum and plenty of rat droppings & urine. I had an attic fan installed (thanks Brandon) to keep the second story cooler. Once clean, bagged & hauled off, the attic was sanitized, pest-proofed in both attics, crawl spaces, roof eves, under the stairs & around the foundation. Caught & released a baby possum too. New insulation was carefully placed under the knob & tube wiring, cleaned up inside & outside the house. Definitely a well run operation! Great communication & photos along the way. I highly recommend Attic Heroes. I reached out for their help Nov 2025. Fidel was super responsive and came to examine our attic. We had long term issues with rodent since we moved in back in 1997! Fidel suggested a two phased approach: clean up/ exclusion and then install insulation. His crew came to clean up and sanitized the attic and went around the house thoroughly to rodent proof the house. We then waited through the cold months, the rainy months and amazingly, the attic activity seems to have subsided! It is now mid March, the crew headed by Tony came to finish phases 2 work of insulation. I am so grateful for their work. I know my neighbor already called around for the best value, so I really didn't get any other quotes. Fidel gave me a great price and used R38 insulation which is better than most companies. My house had old nasty 40 year old mineral wool blown in insulation that was pretty thin in a lot of places and really dirty and nasty. Fidel's team arrived, put protective plastic up around the work area, cleaned out all of my nasty mineral wool insulation, sanitized the area, sealed the air leaks, then laid down thick R38 insulation. First and foremost, Fidel is honest and genuine. I would typically leave a review after the job is done but his inspection warrants a review in of itself. I have mold in the attic and my hope was that doing some attic cleanup would help address the root cause of the moisture issues. Fidel's inspection revealed new insulation but it wasn't professionally done. It's uneven in certain areas and about 80% coverage. We spent a good bit of time trying to investigate the mold issue - Something that is not his area of expertise but went well out of his way to try and help me out. I can't be happier hiring Fidel and his crew for insulating my vaulted ceiling and installing insulation that I bought which I was going to do by myself. He was responsive, came out to provide quotation without any delays. He wore shoe covers and full body protective wear even for the quotation. Looked through the work area in detail, provided expert opinion on what will be done and how, and even offered to install the insulation I bought previously at very reasonable cost. He only charged additional for the material that was needed to cover the area which made sense based on my previous research at home improvement stores. Once they showed up, they wore full protective gear and shoe covers, prepped the area with care, taping down floor and wall protections, built vinyl walls so dust will not contaminate the rest of the house. The entire path they were to traverse in and out of the house was covered so they left no residue. They even plugged an open vent which was my headache for the last five years in the house. Count me among the many many 5 star reviews for Attic Heroes. Starting with a very competitive quote from Matthew to the 4 man, 6 hour install which included removal, vacuuming, sanitizing, and new insulation. In my case, that was R-19 batting, which I specifically requested over blown insulation or thicker R-38 - either of which Attic Heroes would have easily provided. I mention this to show that Attic Heroes will work with the client and give them what they want, rather than fight to make the customer take what would have been a higher costing job. The prep and cleanup was first rate. I would have been ok with the crew taking a lunch break, but they choose to work through and complete the job and "return" my house to me as soon as they could. The rodent proofing part, important because I had some activity in the attic, was extremely thorough. All possible points of entry were blocked of with wire mesh and foam as well.
