Background: The credit for green energy was ending in 2025, and I had always wanted to reinsulate my home because it was so cold in winter and super hot in summer. I went through many different companies and seeing how people felt about them, and I saw a lot of horror stories. I called up a few companies and found out that insulation is kind of like roofing, where a sales person and a tech comes, where the tech looks around and the sales person tries to scare you into using their company right then. They might say something like "your attic is super hot" (that's normal, well, up to a point), or "we'll give you a special deal if you say yes right now". Just kind of shady stuff overall. One big thing that people mention is that while insulation is good, you need to airseal your attic as well - this was another thing I was looking to get done. Initial Meeting: So I was kind of expecting that when I called Attic Professional. Fortunately, that was not the case at all! From other reviews you might have figured that the owner, Bryan, is incredibly respectful and treats customers well. I got to experience that as well. One thing I was surprised at is he had inside shoes (the kind you see in Japan) and put them on and off when walking around the house. He went up into my attic and really dug around to look for issues like pests or mold (besides the poor insulation layers). We went around the home together to look for clogged vents. He didn't try to sell me on anything - I remember reading one review that said he didn't try to sell them things they didn't need, and that was my experience too. He said they could put more insulation in on my existing one, or take out the old one and put new one in; but neither would have a substantial difference. I went ahead and asked him to remove the old insulation and put new insulation in just for cleanliness. I even later changed my mind and asked for a custom insulation scheme - some fiberglass batting and mostly blown-in, and he had no problem accommodating that. Oh, and they would include airsealing gaps in the attic with fire resistant foam! Reinsulation: A few weeks later, he and his team brought his truck up to my house. They covered many surfaces with plastic drop cloth to prevent insulation from flying around - they taped doorways so I could come through, and they taped cardboard to corners in the house so their insulation blower tube wouldn't cause damage. They put canvas drop cloths on the floors to protect them. There was a bit of fiberglass and debris around after, but it was very, very minor. I understand how difficult it is to be flawless with cleanup, but these guys were very good. The work was smooth and quick - only a few hours. I didn't have to add much input and the team was in and out. Bryan left for another site for an hour or so, but everyone was just as respectful as Bryan, and they told me he was a very good person to work for. Always nice to see that the employees have a good opinion of the company as well. One thing that I thought was interesting is after they removed all the previous insulation, they let me look at the attic and see how they stapled their measuring tapes. Apparently, some insulation companies will scam their customers and fold up their measuring tapes so it shows more insulation than what's actually in there. I was able to verify myself that all the measuring tapes were correct. Bryan and I did a final check on the attic together and I was very happy. Above and beyond: A month or so later, I was very curious about the insulation and really wanted to optimize the house, so I got one of those FLIR guns (temperature sensor guns) to see if the attic was perfectly insulated. As expected there were a few spots that had a bit of uneven insulation (after all, nobody's perfect), but for the most part everything was good. I sent Bryan a text about these spots, and he immediately he and his crew to come add some more insulation and pack it in. Now everything on the camera looks great. I think it's pretty rare to find such attention to quality, and I was very impressed. Results: In the San Diego weather by home would average 63 degrees when outside it was around 48. Now, the house never drops below 68, and it averages around 72 year round. When it's 85 degrees outside, it might be 76-78 inside. I've seen the temperature inside crack 80 maybe twice in the last year, and never seen it below 65. This is with no heater, no AC running EVER. So TLDR: I would completely recommend using Attic Professional for your insulation. Take a look at their price, but I find their quality far outshines anything I've seen, and I think I got a steal of a deal (with the now-removed credit sadly).

Bryan answered my project on Yelp and was the first to come and give me the quote. I knew from our interaction that we wanted to go with him. He was nice and didn't try to up sell us on anything. Told us what he saw and our straight up options. We knew what we wanted. We got a couple other quotes from other guys that were pushy with options and we knew they were giving us additional services even though it was obvious that there was no rodent activity in the attic. Bryan gave us a very competitive and reasonable price. His crew came, did the job, was super chill, and completed the job. House feels amazing now! He made sure to follow up multiple times and ensure that we were getting all of our questions answered in order to make an educated decision on our attic clean-up project. Mark even removed a dead rat that we caught on a sticky trap for us; he really went above and beyond. He stayed with us after evaluating our attic to explain the bid while most of the other attic companies I received quotes from just went in our attic, asked for my email and left (I didn't even look at their bids if they did that to be honest). We didn't ultimately go with Attic Construction as another company came in with a lower bid to remove the insulation, sanitize and rodent proof (the clean-up is what we really didn't want to do due to rodent infestation). We'll be installing our own insulation at a later date after some assessment for future renovations since we're a pretty capable family (and poor ) but if we were looking for someone to install insulation, Attic Construction is who we would go with due to Mark's professionalism and obvious knowledge of how to do the job correctly and affordably. I like that Attic Construction has an electrician on staff as well to install attic fans; other companies did not have this option and we would have had to hire an electrician after. It also became to home to rats, rodents, urine, feces and chewed up belongings. It became obvious that this was a real hazard. Trying to find a company that could perform all the services that would be needed was difficult until I contacted Advanced Insulation System. There are not enough superlatives to describe this company. Everyone I have had contact with is professional, personable and hard working. First they had to empty the contents of the basement, which was an enormous job. I will show photos. Once emptied, the hazardous things, rats, rodents, feces, urine, chewed up belongings were removed. All the areas were sanitized and sealed against any intrusion by creatures. Heavy insulation plastics were used on the foundation and floors and insulation was blown in to seal the entire basement. They assigned workers to assist me in sorting out the contents of the basement. The things that I wanted to keep were sorted and placed in the basement, charity items were separated and they loaded up anything that was not salvageable in their big truck and took it to the dump. It seemed overwhelming until the fellows, who are very organized, helped me make decisions about what to keep, give to charity and throw away. This took many days and the crew were spectacular. They left everything clean and organized. I really appreciate the dedication and expertise they showed in dealing with this unhealthy and messy condition. The employees all represent the company in a positive light and I wouldn't hesitate to recommend them. I feel that their pricing was fair and everything was done to perfection.

Since it was already opened up, we figured it made sense to insulate the area before closing everything back up. The access point was smaller than a normal attic opening, so I was a little concerned about whether they would even be able to get in there and do the work. Jesse got me scheduled only a couple days after I reached out, and his son Skyler came out with an assistant to handle the job. They were able to get into the space without any issues and knocked it out quicker than I expected. The pricing was fair, the communication was great, and the work was done professionally. Attic Heroes changed all of our 25 year old attic ducting on February 27th. We had outdoor R4 ducting which they changed to R8. Our house is a 4500 sq foot two story house with a fairly tight attic space but they did a wonderful job, at a very reasonable price. What impressed us most was the professionalism of the entire crew. Fidel is the man in charge of scheduling and logistics, and also does duct work. The estimator came out to do a bid, but Fidel also came out the day before the project to check things out, and took his time looking at the ducting to plan the job and make sure they had all the necessary materials. The next day the ducting crew (Abraham, Oscar and Tony) came out and worked until dark to change out all the ducting. They put paper down on all our wood floors and stairs to protect them. They used foot covers indoors, they took away all the old ducting and any other trash from the project. Truly a white glove experience for us. Fidel came back a few days after the main job was done to check things out and add a Y junction to improve air flow in one area--This was without us asking mind you. They really take pride in their work. The job was done professionally, efficiently, and the results looked good to my husband who went into the attic after they were done. We are very happy with this company, and if we ever decide to have any other attic work done such as more insulation, we will use them again. Great work at a good price. We have just found our old ranch with full of dust and aging insulation powder piled in the attic. Called Attic Hero's. They came right away and gave us an estimate not only cleaning up attic also suggested to replace old AC ducts and the insulation. The price is reasonable and their work is super. Tony led his crews has done a great job. Very professional. All the preparationa are thorough, tried to keep less impacted to the whole house. Carefully vacuumed the full attic to all the hard reach corners. and all the work was done during the hottest days in San Diego, not to mention how hot it was in the attic. Attic Heroes did an amazing job cleaning up my attic, which was much needed due to rodent infestation. They removed old insulation, vacuumed everything spotless, and sanitized the space. They also rodent-proofed the entire attic, air sealed it, and insulated it with R38 fiberglass. Mathew was awesome, quick to communicate and super helpful. His team was friendly, respectful, and cleaned up everything, even pulling down all the boxes from the attic. They set up plastic walls for containment in my hallway, keeping the rest of my home clean, and took pictures of everything throughout the process, which I really appreciated. went above and beyond anything I expected. They were super patient with me too. I switched the date on them 3 times and they were more than happy to get everything done when I needed it done. As far as why I would recommend them besides them going above and beyond. They are super clean, they communicate everything they are doing very well, they work super hard to get it all done and they make sure it gets done right. Also their pricing is super fair they have 4 guys working on out house to get everything done and they did. This company is AMAZING! 1st off, their price was WAY cheaper than the other 3 companies I got quotes from. Their work was incredible. They were on time, professional and worked super hard. They put in about 9 hours of cleaning, clearing, sanitizing and sealing my attic and attic over my garage. It is an old house I just bought and had a ton of debris and they cleaned it so well it looks like new. Mathew and Tony did incredible work and I highly recommend. From start to finish I was well pleased with this service. My attic was over 1300 sq ft and they paid attention to so much detail in sealing all openings and cleaning up everything and making sure I was aware of everything along the way. I called the business and received a prompt reply. They came out to my home, looked at everything I wanted, and sent me an estimate via email (which I prefer). I contacted them and told them I wanted to use them. Scheduling was very easy. The crew showed up 30 minutes earlier than they were supposed to. The laid down plastic sheeting in the house so that things would not get dirty. I tell you, they worked all day to get the attic insulated, insulation under the house, and a vapor barrier under the house. Their proposal was clear and competitively priced. Other companies offered to match prices but I preferred to give my business to the company that gave me a good price initially. I got several quotes to clean out and replace our attic insulation. Mathew and Fidel are so personal and caring I had to choose them. They did above and beyond my expectations. They found small areas to place strong wire mesh to secure from rodent access I didn't know about. This is a hard job because of the heat in the attic, but no complaints. Very happy with the results. Fidel and his team were great! They showed up on time, covered my floors/stairs and completed on time. I had my old insulation replaced. They cleaned the attic sealed up any leaks/ cracks. They were the best price around. I heard about them from a friend that also raved about their great work. I very happy with the work completed. I highly recommend!! read more

The workers were on time and they were very quick to start and finish. They cleaned up after themselves and were done within 5 hours. Bad part was they missed cleaning an area of the attic, didn't clean off the top of the heating system unit that they said they would do and there were areas that could of used more insulation. I tried to call the site inspector Avi , no response. I called the main office and was told he was on vacation and to call him the next week. After two weeks, I finally received a call back from Avi. Avi asked me to climb up into the attic and take pictures to send to him. I told him that I was not going to climb in the attic and that I was surprised he did not come after the work was complete to ensure it was properly cleaned. He said he would call me back and set up a time for him to inspect. It's now October 2025 and still no site or response from Avi. My advice is that before the workers leave, if you are able to climb and check the attic, do it, because you will never see them again!
