I just had my attic re-insulated this week by Attic Heroes. Fidel has an excellent crew of five that vacuumed out all of the old, circa 1968, rock wool, which was all of about 3 inches thick. They sealed all of the cracks with a fireproof foam and covered all of the 33 LED "can" lights in the ceiling and replaced the insulation with Owsns-Corning R38 fiberglass batting. The improvement was noticed immediately. The AC cycles on about half as often as it did prior to the job. This team was professional and very courteous. They covered the floors before starting and walled off the areas with plastic sheeting and left the place spotless. They come highly recommended with 5 star ratings, which is why I chose them. My house had old nasty 40 year old mineral wool blown in insulation that was pretty thin in a lot of places and really dirty and nasty. Highly HIGHLY recommend them. Just after we closed escrow on our house, we got hit by an unexpected requirement by our HOA: all OLD and out of code insulation installed 'below a unit' must be removed within 60-days. (due to insurance requirements and fire safety). Bummer, come on... I just bought the place. We did some research, got some quotes and we decided that Fidel was the best option to do the job. We hired Attic Heroes to remove the insulation below our unit (a rigorous and VERY hard job to do), but took the opportunity to have them insulate the interior of our garage. My wife spent most of the day with them, and I got to see their work in the last hour. And we both have to say that their work was phenomenal, not just with the standards to meet the HOA's requirement, but also insulate our garage. The crew moved everything out of the way, everyone was very polite, friendly, and just good people. And when the job was complete, we said our farewells but I could tell that their hope was customer satisfaction with the job done. And job WELL done it was. We thank everyone in the crew, we wish them lots of success, and because some HOA's are now requiring this under-unit insulation removal, they get my blessing and recommendation. As for cost, very fair on the price and just about the same quotes as everyone else. We had options, but what made their quote the best was the combo cost to insulate our garage at the same time. Fidel came out the same day I called for a free, through inspection & estimate. His crew was available in my time line. Tony called first to notify they were on their way. Arrived on time, respected my 100 year old house, put mats down & visqueen up to keep the dust & dirt contained. About 6 guys took 3 vacuums & went right to work, cleaning up 2 kinds of 100 year old insulation, building materials, mummified possum and plenty of rat droppings & urine. I had an attic fan installed (thanks Brandon) to keep the second story cooler. Once clean, bagged & hauled off, the attic was sanitized, pest-proofed in both attics, crawl spaces, roof eves, under the stairs & around the foundation. Caught & released a baby possum too. New insulation was carefully placed under the knob & tube wiring, cleaned up inside & outside the house. Definitely a well run operation! Great communication & photos along the way. I highly recommend Attic Heroes. I reached out for their help Nov 2025. Fidel was super responsive and came to examine our attic. We had long term issues with rodent since we moved in back in 1997! Fidel suggested a two phased approach: clean up/ exclusion and then install insulation. His crew came to clean up and sanitized the attic and went around the house thoroughly to rodent proof the house. We then waited through the cold months, the rainy months and amazingly, the attic activity seems to have subsided! First and foremost, Fidel is honest and genuine. I would typically leave a review after the job is done but his inspection warrants a review in of itself. I have mold in the attic and my hope was that doing some attic cleanup would help address the root cause of the moisture issues. Fidel's inspection revealed new insulation but it wasn't professionally done. It's uneven in certain areas and about 80% coverage. We spent a good bit of time trying to investigate the mold issue - Something that is not his area of expertise but went well out of his way to try and help me out. For any potential follow-on work, I would definitely look to Fidel. read more

I can't be happier hiring Fidel and his crew for insulating my vaulted ceiling and installing insulation that I bought which I was going to do by myself. He was responsive, came out to provide quotation without any delays. He wore shoe covers and full body protective wear even for the quotation. Looked through the work area in detail, provided expert opinion on what will be done and how, and even offered to install the insulation I bought previously at very reasonable cost. He only charged additional for the material that was needed to cover the area which made sense based on my previous research at home improvement stores. Once they showed up, they wore full protective gear and shoe covers, prepped the area with care, taping down floor and wall protections, built vinyl walls so dust will not contaminate the rest of the house. The entire path they were to traverse in and out of the house was covered so they left no residue. They even plugged an open vent which was my headache for the last five years in the house. At every step they offered for me to take a look to make sure I was happy with their work, and they did a very thorough job every step of the way!
