Mike is a one of a kind awesome relic to have here in Augusta. He's pretty stoic and quiet, but he knows his music and does a wonderful job at providing interesting anecdotes if you happen to inquire about something he's passionate about amongst his potpourri of copious records. I've found some great deals in there and don't feel I've ever been over charged. My genre of choice is typically snatched up quickly, but I don't think I've ever left empty-handed in a one of my monthly visits. Check it out if you're downtown or visiting. read more

So I've been coming to this place for a long time, and the selection is absolutely tremendous, and the vibes are all around awesome. Upon entering, you're immediately transfixed by the rhythm of groove that will soon behold you. My Mr and I were looking for vinyl shops in the area and I noticed Psychotronic on the list. Had to check it out because I also saw someone from out of town that visited (on Instagram) that recommended this place. So I was excited. We got there and the owner was super friendly and helpful. He showed us where everything was at and if we had any questions to feel free to ask. They only sell used vinyl, books and comics. We were mainly there for the vinyl. The front are the dollar bins which were categorized by Genre. And in the back the shelves were full of rare copies of vinyl. My Mr scored a sealed copy of James Brown Raw Soul at a decent price and I found some rare easy listening that I've been hunting for months. My only con that it was kind of cluttered but he had a great selection. But If you're looking for that certain rare copy, he just may have it. I would definitely give this place a try. They do buy used vinyl. Was a happy customer and will return! read more

Located in beautiful downtown Augusta, this is certainly a great place for vinyl-heads. Selections are pretty well organized by genre, though space is somewhat limited, so it gets a little cramped in some spots. The owner is very friendly and helpful. Got a particular artist or title in mind? He'll help you find it any time. I was really impressed by the selection and most were in great condition. I scored a copy of James Brown's Raw Soul still sealed for just $20 (yep, bought some James Brown in the very city of the Godfather's birth). My lady scored some great titles too, including a Yma Sumac 10" for an excellent price. Great little shop, especially for fans of original pressings and more obscure titles. This place is a gem! I try and visit once a month to see what's new, I've added some really wonderful albums to my collection. The owner is very helpful and insightful, he knows where everything is and makes great recommendations. Everything is alphabetized and each record has a protective sleeve that indicates any damage the record may have. They have a wide variety, I purchased classic rock, R&B, and jazz albums here. Some of them are hard to come by and are a great price. If you are interested in music and especially in collecting vinyl records, this is the only place in town you need to go! This is a gem in Augusta. It is a real record store filled full of peach crates and bins of original albums. There are no reissues or new artist pressings of vinyl here; it's all original, used but sometimes new old stock albums. The owner is in here everyday and is the most knowledgeable guy I have ever met on music and he seems to know off the top of his head if he has an album from someone in particular. His prices are amazing for most everything in the store, ie an unopened B.B. King from the 1960s for 10$ is a bargain. It's small and tight with the amount of albums but it's fantastic and I spend hours here flipping through bins. It is a wonderful store. read more

Amazing hole in the wall shop! Their clearance vinyl bins were packed with old favorite and their comic section is full of 60s-90s selections for 6/$10, many were still in original plastic sleeve. The sheer amount of products was daunting for a small space, but the entire building was nostalgic and relaxing. read more
