I let him go, and was recently sued (5 years later) regarding the final bill that I didn't pay. (Guess what - I lost!) This may seem like sour grapes, but I can tell you for certain that I was not provided with accurate information regarding how much time my lawyer had spent and what I actually owed. In fact I NEVER received an actual time statement until trial documents were filed in which they claimed I actually owed them much more than they billed me for. And after sending them a grievance letter that they never bothered to reply to, they choose to have me served at my house by a uniformed officer. The entire experience was very disappointing. When my check cleared, she filed all of my forms for me and gave me a neatly-packaged copy for my records. I think Hauman was cheaper than H&R Block would have been, but the latter didn't want to give me a quote until they'd looked at my information with a "specialist."
