Came to Atwater from out of town for my daughter's water polo tournament. Had a really bad start to the day and it progressively got worse when I got a screw stuck in my tire. Got my spare on, but it did not look safe enough to drive home 80 miles on, so I Looked up local tire shops near me. I decided to give Atwater a shot and so glad I did. The fella that helped me was Chris (name on shirt). He was so helpful! They fit me in right away and were able to get me fixed up and on the road to head back home safe with my daughter. This tire shop used to be a reliable place my family and I would go to but after they've changed management I went in to get a patch in a tire that had a slow leak and had to fight them over the fact that I just wanted the one tire fixed but they insisted I get all 4 tires replaced. After not knowing any better I thought "well getting one or two replaced wouldn't hurt since it's been a little while" so the employee came back with 2 tires ready to install and left me with very little negotiating room saying that if I wanted any other brand I would have to get them specially ordered and it would take a day or two and wouldn't tell me the price on the tires I was about to pay for because I was more concerned about getting this leak fixed than thinking how much I was about to get screwed over. So the employee goes and installs the tires, comes inside to let me know that everything's all done and writes the receipt stating that the service for 2 tires is well over 300 dollars which took less than 10 minutes to install and I just wonder how in the world I'm paying almost double the price for tires I could've gotten literally anywhere else in the city. I feel like the sign something was off should've been once I heard the management was different but instead I learned my lesson to never go here unless you want to pay premiums for generic tires. read more

Atwater Tire Service Inc., A DELRAY Tire Company has been servicing our trucks for many years. We have always received a work order at time of service with the Identification of the vehicle and employee authorizing service. Our accounting department relies on this information prior to receiving the statement of all work performed. Well, today I went in the office to verify an invoice that our office had received but had no record of services performed. I handed him the invoice explaining that I wanted let them know that the vehicle that was listed on this invoice and it had make/model, year, license plate info on it was not one of our company vehicles. The clerk looked on the computer and I thought he was going to help me figure out if this work performed was actually one of our employees or did they make a mistake and billed our company by mistake. His answer was I do not know. I then ask him what the policy is when our vehicles are bought in. He would not tell me, so I asked if their corporate office in Fresno would have the work order receipt and he did not know that either, but then he said yes they should. Come to find out after he got mad at me for wanting to clarify this invoice, I told him that I would reach the corporate office to get the copy of the work order. He stated to me that he had no way of knowing who brought in the vehicle. He did not know or could not remember since this took place on October 30, 2020. I understand that so why could not he just pull his record of the work order he said, I was offending his "integrity". He is one that said, "He did not know"! After reaching out to the main office in Fresno, Mary the AR manager (also the owner's wife according to website) told me that Alex is looking for the signed work order in his office and that she would email it to our company. When I spoke with Mary and explained I was calling to obtain a copy of the service work order, she had nothing but excuses. I asked to speak with the customer service manager and she could not give me that person's name! I was astounded that Mary could not provide me with a customer service manager. She would only say that she would have him call me back since he was out for lunch. I decided to reach out to the main number to reach a customer service manager and the girl that answered the phone said she would transfer me to Mary the AR manager. I told her that I had already spoken to Mary and I wanted to speak with Customer Service Manager. The girl told me that he was not available so I asked who the Customer Manager was. Her answer: she could not give me that information. She then transferred me back to Mary and once again, I was railroaded. She finally gave me Customer Service Managers name - Max, but proceeded to tell me she was not sure if he would call me back or someone else. I did not receive a call back from "Max" or anyone else! My bookkeeper then notified me that we received a credit for this invoice. The Delray Atwater branch could have avoided all of this inconvenience! However, customer service apparently does not matter to Alex or Mary! ATWATER TIRE/DELRAY LOST A LOYAL CUSTOMER OF OVER 15 YEARS DUE TO THEIR INCOMPITENCE! read more

The Service was good. They took way to long to do the work. I got there almost by the time they closed. I'm not sure if they usually take that long to serve their customers but I had to wait for someone to help me for 15 minutes. They were more customers coming and they also waited to be helped. The work was done correctly but taking over 1:30 hours for only one flat tire with no other customer to help I think is a lot of time. read more

AMAZING!!!!!! Decided to choose a local tire shop instead of a big box store that I have a membership for, and I am so glad I did....The customer service was awesome..Alex the owner provided a spare tire for me as well as a replacement tire that allowed me to continue to travel for work until my new tires arrived...Once the new tires were installed I asked what the charge was for the spare tire as well as the temporary tire and the labor..The response was a kind "You owe me nothing"..I was shocked..In this day and age where every dollar counts, especially for small businesses in this economy, to not charge me for two tires and the labor was an awesome gesture...And it reminded me why I choose to support local when I can... Atwater tire is great! They've been in the area for a long time, and I can see why: Great customer service, very quick, great pricing. Really top-quality. Paul, Alex, and everyone at Atwater tire are very qualified, great guys! I had a flat on my expensive sport coupe, so I did some calling around to various shops. Atwater tire beat all my previous estimates, and I felt totally comfortable with bringing my precious (And slightly expensive) vehicle to their shop. I can comfortably drop it off, leave the keys, and in a shockingly short amount of time, I'll have it back in better shape than it came in. No doubt, no second-guessing if the shop has my best interests at heart, no wondering if the technicians know what they're doing. This is the only tire service place that I will go to in Atwater. The staff is friendly and knowledgeable. I drive a classic 4x4 with odd sized tires. They special ordered my tires for me and made my truck ride like new. The manager even went out of his way to find the most rugged looking 4x4 tires that were in my price range. Definitely as good as it gets if 5 stars is the max I can give. Not only honest but very caring and they go the extra distance. Twice they have accommodated checking on my daughter's tires on her way back to CSU. She feels so comfortable with them. I'm not sure how we ended up with such a bad experience (everyone else has had a 5 star experience). We took our car in after one of our tires (rim and all) was stolen off our car. We have a large family and do a lot of commuting, so having 2 cars is very important to us. Because of our type of car, we were told that the right parts needed to be ordered (understandable). When we brought the car in, we waited for a long time in the lobby while other people came and went. We were not acknowledged/checked in with. One other customer even asked the guy behind the desk if they were having a busy day, and he said "No." After some time, the told my husband that there was a problem - the part was mislabeled and it was not the right part for our car (not their fault, but pretty irritating). He said they would order the right part right away. Four days later we were ready to bring the car in again. When my husband called to make sure they had the part, he was told that it hadn't been ordered. This was causing a lot a stress for my family as we were having to borrow a family member's car just so we could both get to work. We couldn't handle anymore issues and decided to go to the dealership (which would cost the same amount, it was not any cheaper at Atwater Tire Service). This was a very disappointing and stressful experience. As I said, despite the other positive review, I will not be recommending Atwater Tire Service to anyone. read more

After 61 years I finally found a car repair shop that I can trust. Although they mainly sell tires, they also do minor engine work. Alex and his crew are the best there is. No trying to sell you something you don't need or want and always a fair price. read more
