Horrible customer service! The cashier ringing us up spoke as if she was having a miserable day and it wasn't even 1130AM.. the way she spoke to her coworkers and directed them was rude as well. I have typically been an avid Atwood's shopper but won't go here anymore. They had an electric fence unit marked at $349.99 when I took it up to the front it rang up $500. I took the cashier back to show him there was no price tag that said $500 anywhere in the entire section. He called a manager over and he let me know it must have been a return or something even though it was still brand new with stickers on it. They had it priced wrong and wouldn't honor it. He then offered $50 off which just goes to show they made a mistake. I had $600 worth of stuff I was buying and just walked out. Extremely disappointed and will warn people to no longer shop here. read more

From the minute I walked in the door, clear back to my car, I was treated so wonderfully by each employee I came in contact with. Have been coming here for several years now for items needed. Today was the first time I felt uncomfortable and upset. Found the security / police officer walking around but seemed to be at every corner isle I was at. He even walked into the restroom and came right out as soon as I exited the restroom... felt like he was looking for open packages I might have left behind. No carts inside the store at the cart area, we walked out to the overflowing cart returns and grabbed our own, AND the staff witnessed and didn't say anything. A one item carry out required two boys and neither of them brought carts in. They were just sitting at the counter when we checked out and left. For sure need some management at this store. They annoyed the heck out of me the other day. I stopped in, found a pair of boots I liked and went to look at a Ruger Scout rifle. Another person was also waiting there for service. First, no one was covering the gun counter and it took a good ten minutes for the Assistant Manager to come help us. The guy in front of me talks with the Assistant Manager about some .45 ammo he had them hold for him based on an ad that stated 100 rounds for $19.99. This is when the fun starts. I point out a small, red sign that said "The ad that state 100 rounds for $19.99 was wrong. it was 50 rounds for $19.99....Sorry for the inconvenience" The guy was understandably upset, said he had called earlier, was assured that the ad was accurate by another employee and had had several boxes set aside. he explained he had driven 30 miles out of the way because of it. When he asked what the Assistant Manager was going to do about it, she only said that the employee he had talked to had just come back from vacation and didn't know the ad was wrong. She could do nothing about it. Then she just says that there is a "disclaimer" in the ad, as if that make it alright. Sorry. a "disclaimer " may cover your butts legally, but it doesn't make anything right. When I pointed out that Atwoods ad and Atwoods employee had made a promise of sorts, she just kept repeating, there is a disclaimer. Atwoods screwed up the ad and the confirmation of the ad, The right thing to do would have been to honor the ad. This stewed in my head for a bit, I had to leave the boots and the gun behind, as I couldn't in good conscious give my money to a place that would treat a customer like that. Atwoods has good prices, but they need to learn how to treat customers and own up to their own errors. read more
