Little flippant blonde hair girl was not going to be bothered by people in the checkout line. 4 deep and we all got watch & listen to her describing her problems to the other 4 employees behind the counter screwing off. Is there a manager in the store that? I think one of the clowns goofing off with her probably was. When I have to waste time waiting on the igit show it makes the mediocre prices even worse. Don't want people to shop here Atwood's? Don't fix the problem. Got a Tractor Supply down the road. As usual selection was limited but I found a work around. read more

I've never been to Atwoods before today. I had always assumed they sold farming equipment only. Boy was I surprised when I found out they sell home and garden items including patio furniture, pet food and toys, clothing etc. and pets are welcome. Today, I was in desperate need of a new rake and a hedge trimmer so I packed up my dog and headed over. I was surprised by how clean the store was and the cashiers were friendly. It took me a while to find what I needed because while the rake was in the garden center, the hedge trimmer was inside the "seasonal section". Prices were typical and not necessarily more or less than other stores. read more

I visit this store about once a week out of necessity. I placed an online order to pickup at our Norman store in hopes of bypassing the registers. Went there to pick-up & after about 15 minutes they refunded me & said they are no longer carrying the product & recomended not shopping online for pick-up orders. The main problem with this store are the employees at the registers attitudes. They are not friendly at all & usually have to get assistance from someone else. All is good until you get to the registers. After reading the reviews & my frequent experiences, this store needs a new manager that takes pride in his store and can deal with female attitudes read more

Atwood's if you haven't been there is like a walmart from the 80's combined with your local feed store. It has all kinds of stuff from clothing's, firearms, pet supplies, live stock supplies, candy and small appliances. The prices on things can be hit or miss. I usually try and watch their weekly ads to get deals. The Norman location I think is a bit older and maybe smaller than some of the other Atwoods I've been too. I think it has air conditioning but it's pretty ineffective. They do have some large fans mounted though so their is airflow but I try to avoid this particular location when it is really hot. read more

This place has alittle of everything! Very surprised to see a Hugh selection of jeans ,t shirts, boots and more! Has the normal tools, and supplies that is always needed around the farm or home. This is a man's Hobby Lobby.....lol. We came to find our Amish peaches (sweet and delish) and canned beets. We like to drive to a Amish store in Muskogee but found out they carry them along with lots of jelly and pickles. You will not leave empty handed! read more

I absolutely love this place and so does my family. We always get our camping gear from Atwoods, and even give gift cards to family for occasions. Atwoods has everything we need, and we love it so much more than Bass Pro. Atwoods is family owned, and it's obvious they prioritize their customers and employees over money. We love this place and will always shop here. I hate to see negative reviews from people who only had one bad experience. I'd like to say that I had a good experience with the staff but, I didn't. I was hoping to get some help and I never did. Hoping that it wasn't racist crap again, I told my white wife what happened. Of course, off she went. Sadly, she was immediately helped at the door. I'm very disappointed. I wanted to like this store. Oh well. Please don't judge people who are not the same as you. Checking out and the cashier didn't even have eye contact just rang are things up and was more concern to let her boss know that because of staff it was his fault of poor scheduling right in front of us. Updating my previous review which was a bit harsh. The selection at Atwood is good and the prices are reasonable. We like the garden area. The plants are nice. But the service and check out are still slow, inefficient and painful. Waiting in line to check out, with no more than 2 regular sized orders ahead of us, is always at least 10-15 minutes. Never less. There's always a problem, questions, or other issues that make the process almost not worth it. Hopefully they can resolve some of these issues in the future. read more

WARNING! Atwoods Norman does not honor 30 day return policies on high dollar defective items WARNING! First and last time I ever buy anything at Atwoods. Bought a Bad Boy mower from them. After one mow the mower was dead. I only had it for about two weeks put a few hours on it. Brought it back to the store and they gave me a run around to have it fixed by a third party who at first did not even want to take the mower. Now I won't have a mower for weeks. Atwoods does not care if they tie up 4 grand for weeks. Asked if they would honor the 30 day return policy was told all equipment has no 30 day return policy. So you can forget the 30 day return policy its not valid on any high dollar equipment. Buy your equipment from tractor supply forget about Atwoods they will NOT honor return policies on any of the big stuff. Dead on arrival or manufacturers defect forget it Atwoods will send you somewhere else. The return policy is just a scam so they can match other stores but when something goes wrong they will NOT replace anything and send you somewhere else with your brand new expensive machine. Don't say I didn't warn you about Atwoods Norman hopefully people will not get into the same situation I got into. This message should help reduce the amount of sales of mowers at Atwoods Norman over time. You can have a look at mowers at Atwoods but when it comes time to buy hop over to Tractor Supply who will take care of you within those first 30 days of buying an expensive machine. I still need to buy two more mowers and some yard work equipment. For sure I will NOT be buying high dollar stuff at Atwoods anymore. read more

I felt like I was walking into a Home Depot. The smells were familiar, but as you walk a little deeper into the store you pass by candy displays and racks with beanie baby stuff animals. Ow, and boots. They have a ton of cowboy boots! I continued to peruse and got sidetracked by the coolest surprise. Ever! They sell baby chicks, bunnies, ducks, and turkeys!!!!! SooOOOOOOOOO adorable!!!!!! The fluffiness was too hard and too much to contain. I can't believe I eat these little guys- they're THAT cute. Atwoods, you remind me of a Petco, Target, Tractor Supply and Home Depot rolled up into one. Old school soda pop? Check! Dickie's work pants and coveralls? Check! Christmas lights? Check! This city girl fell in love with Atwoods when I lived in Woodward for a few years. This store reminds me of a cross between a DIY store, a general store and a feed and seed store all wrapped up in one. We come here because the hubby likes their lawn care prices. We always find something else that we need. They sell clothes for all genders, cowboy and work boots for all genders and ages. They have a lawn and garden area that we usually always get our tomato plants from. I found a sweet pair of all rubber muck boots with horses on them for me. Love them! While the hubby investigates mens boots and lawn food, I go to check out the baby chicks, ducks, rabbits. Reminds me of when I was a kid and it was ok for kids to get chicks and bunnies for Easter. The warming lights, the cheep, cheep, cheeps of the yellow chicks and the twitchy noses of the bunnies. They have soda pop, candy, snacks, tree swings, patio furniture, chains, socks, belts, jeans. It's just a fun place to walk around and say, I need that. City person would find themselves at home and the staff is helpful. If they don't know the answer, they'll find someone who does. read more

Horrible customer service!! We have shopped here for years, yet today will be our last. We bought an expensive heavy item, got it home and it was bent all over. Packed it back up to return. The young lady at the desk was polite, and we asked to exchange which was no problem. Since there was only one left, we asked to inspect. That was not a problem. She asked someone to help us and we waited and waited and no one showed up. My wife and I unpacked the item, boxed it, asked for help and no one showed up. We loaded it up and then had to take it to the truck with no assistance. It looked like management was unavailable and the store was left to kids to run. A really bad experience! Awesome farm & hardware supply store! Never thought I'd be saying that, but I'm definitely a fan, even though I'm more the city-gal type. I was able to find horehound candies here, which I am a huge fan of (and can't find most places), as well as some metal goods to make jewelry (yay for Pinterest for inspiring me to make jewelry out of weird metal parts). I also got to oogle the adorable bunnies & play with the plastic toy animals (in every possible shape imaginable, except dachshund... Hope they get one that's a doxie someday!) Definitely worth visiting if you need some random odds & ends/farm goods/home goods/boots/etc. Neat store! read more

The prices are great here and the selections are also fairly decent. However, this is the third time I have come here and the staff at checkout has always been very incompetent. They seem to always have issues checking people out and don't know how to fix them. Besides not knowing how to fix the problems created during checkout they are very slow and rude. Not once have I come in here and been welcomed or thanked. If it weren't for some of the good prices I would never come back here. The customer service here is just that horrible. read more

If it wasn't the only game in town I would not go there. A fish stinks from the head down. Many (not all) employees are disgruntled and don't really care about customer service. I feel that is a reflection of management not caring about them or the customer. Prices are ok, but often items are cheaper elsewhere. Like I said - they're the only game in town.
