This Ace Hardware used to be run by mature and knowledgeable adults. Not anymore. This Ace store mostly employs lazy high school students. Whenever I have asked for assistance in locating items to purchase, the "employees" respond by waving in the direction it might be. Little to no effort whatsoever is invested in helping the customers. I don't waste my time at this Ace. I just go to Walmart a block away. I'm not sure how this Ace store is still in business. read more

I am a fan of this Ace Hardware. Each time we have gone in for numerous random items (batteries, bulbs, trimmer line, nails, etc) they have delivered on service. They always greet or acknowledge you and if they see you need help finding something they are quick to serve you. As a woman I always feel anxious going into a hardware store, but they ease my mind with their great customer service. You may pay a little more for items. Last year i had three vehicle keys (with transponder) cut, no problems. I brought in my internet-sourced keys and Ace cut them for a small fee. Now, I tried to have some keys cut, and they refused, telling me that they will not cut keys for me unless I buy the blanks from them (at about 5x the online price). Not good service. I will never purchase any key work from them again, for anything. read more

Ace Hardware (Whites, Higginbotham Bartlett, depending on weather you read the sign or the new owner documents) is a great choice for Lumber, hardware, etc. why fight crowds and Covid at Lowe's? Staff wears masks and ready to help, but if you only want lumber, drive around to the side gate, pick it up, even get plywood cut, and pay at the gate as you go! You will probably find the lumber cost beat Lowe's! Oops, did I just make this contractor's secret public? They also have a hard working crew. read more

Went in to purchase glass for a job. Was kept waiting for over 15 minutes while lots of laughing took place in the back. I mention this because after getting back to the job site I found out that they had not even cut the glass! I had to drive back to the store to have them recut it which cost me more time so I asked for the manager. After the clerk checked out two more people, making a call to someone letting them know their order was there, she finally called back to let the manager know I was there. More waiting and my glass was finally ready. I waited another 5 - 10 minutes and only after the clerk called back again for the manager did he finally appear. The moment he appeared around the corner he had attitude. I explained the situation and that I would like a discount to help cover some of my lost time having to make a second trip to Ace. His response? "So you've never made a mistake?" No apology. Nothing even close. He took the glass and started to walk off and told the clerk to just refund my money. I told him that I needed the glass for my job which is why I had to drive back up to the store. Again, more attitude. "Well you're not getting it for free!" I said I never asked for my money back. I just wanted a discount but his aggressive behavior continued as he walked back over to me and continued his tirade about how he wasn't giving me a dime. I told him that I would be contacting his District Manager as I walked out the door. To my surprise, he became angrier as he raised his voice and followed me out the door! "Hey! I'll save you the time. My name is Chris and I'm the store owner so we can settle this right here!" I told him I didn't have time for his crap attitude and he CONTINUED mouthing off at me as I got in my work truck! "Well, you have a nice day! All you wanted is something for free!" I have literally NEVER been treated so horribly in my life. I will NEVER go back in that store if that is how the OWNER acts. read more

My new favorite store!! I needed a new grill and although their in-store supply was limited, they helped me order exactly what I wanted from their supplier. Not only that but they assembled it, delivered it and picked up my old grill FOR FREE. Best customer service possible.
