Atwork did an incredible job staffing for Desert Trip. I was initially interviewed by Rudy and Raymond. The recruiters and managers were excellent communicators. Once I was hired Judy gave me all the detailed information I needed to move forward. They did their absolute best in accommodating for their entire VIP Usher team while simultaneously satisfying the needs of their client, Goldenvoice. I was hired as a VIP Usher and placed in the Northside for VIP floor seating. My Goldenvoice managers were Mark and Carol. The Northside Guest Services Director was Joe. I worked in close capacity with these three during both weekends of the festival. In my role as a VIP Usher, I had to secure extremely active checkpoints, verify admission authenticity, and settle any and all security disputes among patrons. I was also responsible for briefing and training a rotating number of security gaurds, while being the first point of contact for any urgent medical issues within the crowd. Other responsibilities were included in this role, that came and went based on where I was positioned. The great news is, the Northside killed it. The Northside Guest Services Director- Joe, spoke to me at the end of weekend 2. He explained that the entire Northside was staffed with only half the amount the Southside had- and we made a major impression on his superior. Our capacity to provide stellar hospitality, and even act as security sometimes- gave him a strong confidence in his Northside team. The Goldenvoice managers, Carol and Mark, even rewarded their star Ushers with Desert Trip lanyards to recognize those that went the extra mile, and were exceptional at their jobs. I was lucky to be working with Goldenvoice and Artwork Personnel because the entire team worked in harmony- in the most efficient manner! We were able to provide our VIPs with the best Desert Trip Experience they could possibly have. I noticed two major complaints among VIP Ushers during the first weekend. 1. The long wait for shuttle rides back home. 2. The "unbearable" heat during day shifts. Artwork immediately addressed these issues! I really liked that about this employment agency. They did not blindly standby when complaints were made. Rudy was out there, almost every night, assuring people that wait times wouldn't be much longer and gave us status updates on upcoming shuttles. The fact the Artwork staff was out on the field, guiding their candidates and assisting them in all the ways they could, is something that a lot of people took for granted. I'm positive Artwork staff had put in way more hours than the VIP Usher staff on a daily basis- but still had the ability to care for all of their Usher hires. The heat was a completely uncontrollable factor. Individuals that signed up to Usher, should have expected to be out in the sun and heat for the day. This was specifically disclosed at the pre-hire screening, interview, and orientation! Artwork provided the entire field of Ushers with content ice cold bottles of water, hats, and appropriate breaks. The world of event production is a demanding one, and everyone working an event such as this one needs to understand that. The long hours, the long walks, the scorching heat- all come at a huge reward! Playing a part in one of the most historical and epic rock concerts in history. I have been working with @Work since October 2017. They have kept me working almost 40 every week for over 5 months. They have a very diversified group of clients, I didn't know there were that many employers looking for temporary to permanent employees. I am signed up with 2 other employment agencies here in the valley and they haven't even called me even though I am current on their lists and they know I am looking for temporary to permanent employment. The communication that @Work has with all their potential candidates and current candidates is outstanding. I have worked with every single staffing agency this small valley has to offer. This company, @ Work Personnel Services, is by far one of the best staffing agencies in the valley for administrative positions. The sign up was simple, the testing was a breeze, (and they let you retest to beat your own score), and the staffing recruiters were very informative and kind. Lisa, the new head manager over there is a sweetheart! She is very welcoming, easy going, and kind. Rudy has been in this industry for over 10 years and he is a networking phenom. It would do you good to have a conversation with him. You will learn a lot, believe me. I was fortunate enough to receive an assignment with a company I had worked with in the past. Everyone knows that this valley is small and the construction industry within is even smaller, so having a foundation already in place made the transition quite smooth for us both. I would recommend anyone looking for work to sign up with @Work. They have direct deposit available and I have never, not once in 6 whole months, had a problem receiving my paycheck. The only small complaint I do have is that it can be quite difficult to print your pay stubs from the internet if you do not have a personal computer at home. Do yourself a favor, if you are unemployed stop by @ Work Personnel Services, sign up, and make your 2017 the greatest year ever! Went Into here thinking I was going to get Assisted in getting a job. Filled out all their paperwork and even had a great interview. Jessica seemed really nice and made it seem like she was confident in getting me a job. After 1 week of paperwork processing, I do my weekly call to make sure I'm on top of the list. Just to find out that they forgot to process my paperwork which then took more time to process.. so now I'm being held back. I call couple days later to put myself on top of the list and still nothing available. Not only that it seems like the front reception lady doesn't seem to take her time with the calls and rather rushes you off the phone. I've been calling very frequently and it seems no matter how much you call them they won't have anything for you. Don't waste your time here. They don't seem as serious as other places offer. I had the pleasure of working with @work for the Desert Trip festival. I refer several of my Veterans to @work who have set aside specific days and times to help out our Veterans a major plus and much needed resource for our men and women that have served. After reading the reviews mainly for Desert Trip I draw the conclusion people did not understand the magnitude of the event and all the work that went into it. THIS WAS THE BIGGEST ROCK CONCERT IN HISTORY, of course there are going to be obstacles. After the first day, we were able to identify several issues that we brought to @work. Adjustments were made to help the event run much smoother for @work, golden voice and ushers on the floor. The team was great about taking feedback and constructive criticism. For the team members that were willing to contribute and be flexible it was an awesome experience, I myself supervised a great team, and had the privilege of managing the North side of the event. @work provided a lot of opportunities for a lot of people, dwarfing the amount of employees other organizations hired. They provided work before, during and after the event, I would recommend them to anyone looking to establish immediate employment with the potential to gain full time employment. Overall I thought they did a great job, I manage and work with several organizations and to see @work adapt and overcome the setbacks they experienced and still provide a fantastic experience to thousands of concert goers I feel speaks volumes to their mission of providing quality staffing services. read more

Don't walk away but run away as fast as you can from this staffing agency. This is a waste of time, they asked me to take various test in accounting, bookkeeping, Excel, Word, etc. and I scored over 90% in all tests and it lasted five hours (incl. travel back and forth) and wish I charged them for my time. And after all the time I wasted I never heard back from them, this is a small town and news travels at the speed of light. One star only to be able to review this place. Interviewed with Rudy and Raymond, both told me I was hired for a desert trip supervisor position. I wasted my valuable time on registering with them because they told me I had to for the desert trip vip usher supervisor position they wanted me to fill. Then the story changed. I now had to "audition" for the position. When I asked about their commitment to me I was told " oh you're hired with @work but you have to go to the audition for desert trip. 4 plus hrs of TOTAL lies and wasted of time. More of my free for hours "auditioning" and more lies? NO THANKS Raymond looked like he had crawled out of a clothes hamper when I met with him at the Palm Desert office. He is way out of his league staffing for the VIP attendees of this event. Don't waste your time with these people unless you are in desperate need of a "landscaping" job where they take a cut of you pay. read more

A coworker of mine asked if I would like to work Desert Trip, she gave me At Work's contact information and a link to fill out an application before hand. I filled out my application and waited for a call back (as instructed by email from Rudy) I didn't get a call back so I decided to call the At Work office and I spoke with Raymond. I explained to Raymond what the email said and mid sentence he cut me off, "Just come in". I explained to him that I work normal business hours and I would have to check with my employer and again, he cut me off and said, " Just come in right now". He then began talking and I said, " I'm not sure what you're telling me" and he then responded, " Oh, I wasn't talking to you. Just call me next week or something" and our conversation ended there. I work in a big local corporation and I was at a loss for words (and that usually doesn't happen). I decided to still continue the process and there was no communication on their part. I called the office again and spoke to Raymond to ask about a rough estimate of working hours. He said, "Just block out the whole day". I have children and arrangements have to be made. I don't leave my kids at their daycare provider's all day just to be on call, I pay for daycare. I decided to keep my commitment thinking things would change. Up to the day of the 1st weekend, we still were not sure of what we were doing. We showed up to our location and roughed it. It was a mess At Work was very unorganized, everyone was lost INCLUDING the At Work staff. We were given one 30 minute break and I asked our Supervisor if after 8 hours we were entitled to another break. Our team was told, At work told us 1 break, but if you need to go again, just go so the majority of us did. Day 3, they made us get in a group huddle and pretty much threatened us that if we had our phones out at any point of the show, they "would take them away" like we were children. I'm not sure what his role is in the company, but he warned us repeatedly. Later that day, I see him taking pictures with his cell phone during the show. We worked well with our GoldenVoice managers, as a matter of fact, they were amazing! We followed their lead and we went to them if any issues came up since At Work (Rudy and Raymond were no where to be found and they specifically told us to go to them if we had any issues). The second weekend on Saturday (Day 5 of 6) a man came up to us and said he was our Manager and we let him know that we were working close with GoldenVoice managers and he said, " Well I'm in charge of the South Side". We said OK, we've been working with GoldenVoice because we were not aware of this. He again said in a loud voice, " I'm in charge of the South side since day one. I don't care about GoldenVoice managers" He was on a power trip, yelling at the staff when we first got on the bus, yelling as we signed in as we got our bracelets at the location. We are all adults don't yell at us like a drill sergeant, I would sign up to be in Military boot camp if I wanted to be ordered and yelled at. At this point I was beyond annoyed with him and his Captain of the South power trip. I was actually looking forward to working with At Work since I have never done anything like this before, but my experience with At Work left a bad taste in my mouth. I'm not sure where At Work hired their managers and office staff, but perhaps they need more people training skills. I feel as if all the "Managers and staff members" were all hired on a friend basis not a skill basis. Remember, they are the face of the company this is a small community word spreads fast. read more

This place is the absolute worst staffing service in the valley. 1 star is too many for this unprofessional and unorganized business. I interviewed with Raymond and Rudy for Desert Trip and both assured I was hired as a VIP Usher. I was then told last minute I had to audition for the part so I took another day off work to do so. Again I was told I'm hired and I have to attend 3 orientations. I attend the second orientation at the fairgrounds and its a shitshow. Rudy doesn't know what he's doing because his ego is in the way. Judy is a raging, rude person and Raymond walks around like a big lug. Some people got wristbands that night and others didn't because they were handed out to another agency by mistake. Nothing is said to us other than to show up on Thursday night for a dry run. We all get to our designated area & clock in. I asked about a wristband and I was told by Judy that we'd all get one before loading the shuttle bus. A few seconds before we are about to board the bus, Rudy pulls those without wristbands to the side and says we will no longer be ushers because they overstaffed and don't have enough wristbands. He offered lower paying jobs in catering or photography but he didn't know shift info and there were no guarantees we'd even be hired for those jobs. 30 people wasted their time and money with this unprofessional company. Many of us took time off work for this and spent money on the uniform they required only to have them dump us at the last minute. If you've read this far, please do yourself a favor and use another agency like Manpower. They were much more organized. At Work Personnel is in WAY over their head trying to staff Desert Trip! read more
