This restaurant just recently opened, the previous restaurant had closed. The restaurant is conveniently located across from the Nyon train station. They specialise in Italian and Swiss specialities (Raclette, Fondue, and Rosti). The menu is in French and English, and the inside is welcoming, and not too kitschy. They offer a Plat Du Jour during the week for lunch for only 18.50 CHF. It was a cold day, and while the grilled shrimp plat du jour sounded interesting, the Valasian rosti could not be resisted. Most of the tables were reserved in advanced, but thankfully this is a large place with plenty of sitting. There is a very nice bar area with sitting around it as well. For those just wanting a quick warm drink while waiting for a train, they have set up a small "coffee" area in front (which I thought was pretty cool). The service was very friendly, and my food came promptly. The people next to me had something that took awhile, but the server was prompt to let them know what was going on, and ensure it would come out shortly. The rosti was average, I have had better, but I have also had worse. It was not oily, which is always a plus. I have to say, I was envious of everyone else's grilled shrimp, as it looked fantastic. Others were getting the Spaghetti, and it didn't look like anything special, I could probably cook something just as good at home. I will definitely be back to give this place another try. They are open for Lunch and Dinner Monday - Sunday. During the week they close for a break between lunch and dinner. On the weekends they serve non stop. It is nice to have another Sunday dinner option in Nyon. They also have a cute website with the menu, and the ability to make reservations directly on the website. I would definitely reserve in advance as this place already seemed popular and it's only been open for a few days. read more
