Before anyone asks: YES, it is all in French. HOWEVER, our waiter spoke English and he was an absolute delight. He seemed to be the only one who did the night we went (Sunday), but the performers were just as friendly. It's small, but very cozy. I highly recommend reserving in advanced to ensure a spot. The food was tasty, and the highlight for me was the round, sugar covered potatoes. I could eat an entire plate of just those. I would recommend knowing some basic French phrases and sentences to help out (thank you, high school French class) but my friend who spoke 0 French still had a good time. There is a 7 dollar entertainment fee, but our waiter was so kind and said he waived it for us since we both didn't really speak French well and couldn't get fully immersed. I'd argue the contrary; despite the language barrier, I had such a great time. HIGHLY recommend this gem.

You have to reserve because this place is pretty popular. We got there a bit early and had to wait but it was fun seeing some patrons really get into the mood with their costumes and all. We were seated upstairs which can host about 30ish people. We had a dedicated bard who sang hearty ballads while guests stomped and pounded tables along with the tune (It's not free though--they'll add and extra fee per person as a performance fee to your bill.) For our appetizer, we were recommended the toasted cheese bread and this is a toasted baguette slathered in super savory barbeque sauce. It's a touch spicy but it's 100% flavor! As for the mains, we all got burgers. This was my second time here so I knew which potatoes I wanted. The Petaque fries are like a having sweet and salty thick potato chips but with a delightful crunch to them--my favorite out of the three "fries". I found the Saxonne and Confit fries a bit too heavy. I got the wild boar burger 1/3 lb which is fairly flat but the bun is pretty big and the patty is somewhat thin but it's still a very good portion because we didn't have room for dessert. This is great as an experience--the dishes and ambience are unique. With the entertainment fee, it is a bit more expensive so probably something that would be a fun place to take your out of town guests to try something new!

The place its incredible! Its so charming, with that lovely medieval charming "inn bar" totally love it! The food its amazing, the drinks too, it can be pricey but its totally worth it for the quality and quantity. Totally recommend it. The service its fast and great.

I loved this place! I really love the atmosphere and their service! Super friendly service and very warm and welcoming ambiance. I like their beer selection and their chicken wings are simply perfect! It's definitely a must place to visit if you are with kids or friends, family, colleagues... What a fun experience!

A very interesting time if you want entertainment with your meal. Otherwise I would only come here if you really enjoy meat! All their meat, at least what comes on the platter, is amazing. Also if you're a large group get the beer in buckets it gets you drunk and for cheap

It's been 10 years since I went to l'Auberge du dragon rouge. But this place provides the kind of experience that is hard to forget... As soon as you get there, you are in a new world. You are in the Middle Ages, where everything and everyone - the food, the people, the vibe, the decoration, the language - reminds you that you entered a new world. They sing, they scream, they're dressed in a fully middleagerian (?) way, and you can't help but getting over your pride, finding yourself screaming, "AUBERGISTE! À BOIRE!!"* standing on your chair, before realizing it. It's a little far, but easy to reach by metro. *= I wanna drink!

THE BUTCHER - 1/2 pound of meat all dressed plus two delicious merguez sausages and sweet potatoes chips and amazing fries !

Honestly one of the best restaurant in this town ... Its location is very hidden as it is situated in the north east of Montreal. Freaking love this place and the employees that work there , they really love their jobs and make sure that you feel at ease and comfortable within their castle :3 I haven't tried much except their burgers , but holy hell does this place makes excellent burger and good fries and sweet potatoes chips. I have actually went here 3 times over the last two months . As my first experience of le dragon rouge was an I call within their establishment , i could not be more satisfied about my meal that night and so did my partner . I had the boar pig burger in the past which tasted dry but perfect. I've gotten the Butcher burger which came with half a pound of meat and merguez sausages .. Can I say it was delicious ?! Yes I will rate this burger top 2 in Montreal , I'm not joking. The side dishes include sweet potatoes chips and giant hand made potatoes ! I'm not gonna lie probably the best potatoes and fries in Montreal as it comes with GARLIC SAUCe, YES YOU heard me right , THIS Establishment have garlic sauce and IT MAKES THEIR SIDE DISHES PERFECT . Lastly , I can say that I've brought two friends to this place , and they can't believe how good this restaurant is in term of food , service and establishment . Fact is during the night , the staff gives an excellent show that is mostly in French , but very fun and exciting as it put ambience ! Take out order is absolutely amazing - takes about 10-15mins , in the mean time you can drink water and watch the establishment show , or chill under the terrace . Seriously, do not be afraid to come within the domain of this restaurant as you will be amazed by this unique medieval restaurant :) Merci encore dragon rouge for the amazing experienced in food that you've allowed me to enjoy !

We walked in and were immediately approached by a server so we asked to sit by the window. We both ordered a Steerburger with fries and coleslaw. The curly fries were just like we remembered: crispy & light. Staff was friendly and accommodating l, but the initial server who took our orders forgot to tell us he was either going on break or had finished for the day because another server approached us later to take our order! We told her we had already put in our order. She apologized and 10 minutes later our food came out. Oops.

My hubby had a nice chat with the owner as well. Don't know when we might get back to Montreal but we will definitely go back here if we do. We haven't even tried the beef!

You can also reserve room if you are a big group. There's also a restaurant with various food that we didn't try. We didn't try the arcade, we ran out of time on our schedule but we will come back. The arcade work with a card where you accumulate point that you can spent on things in the gift shop. Like many arcade, the more token you buy, the cheaper the cost per token is. We took the combo that is 1 game of bowling, 1 game of laser tag and 1 round of mini golf. The bowling is with big balls. There's a little ramp for the kids or those that just need a little help. There's only one though so you have to share it across the 8 alley. The bowling itself is nice, alley are straight and clean. There's a wide range of ball weight that should be ok for everyone. The mini golf here is special. It's not a less put parcours, it's a most point. Point are done in 2 ways. Once you put, there's a 60sec timer. The time left once you enter the cup is bonus point. The other way is through the course. There's special tricks that you can do to earn extra points and even lose some. It's a very nice twist and it was fun. We ended with a game of laser tag. I saw the maximum occupancy is 28 players splitter in 2 or 3 teams. We were 6 and honestly, the room is small. Unless there's some hidden wall that get open for more player, I wouldn't see much more then 10 players. 28 would be over crowded for sure. For us at 6, it was perfect. One thing is the room itself is dangerous. Like many laser tag room, it's dark. The problem is they put some stuff like ramp but without anything to show you the edge or worst, they put some theming. Half of us were hurt by the stage. I myself trip, while walking slowly down one of those ramp where I though it was going in a specific direction but no. I ended up falling face first, scratching my knees and nearly broking my finger. My girlfriend opened her elbow while edging a wall and our friend got some similar stuff happened. Another thing is they don't really explain you anything beside how to shoot. There's a lot of stuff in the room that you can shoot and I never knew if it did anything beside some animation. Like a wall that seems like maybe a forcefield that would maybe disable enemy shield if they walk through? I don't know. The gun had 2 way to shoot, a long laser or a short range scatter shot like a shotgun. Was fun to be able to cycle through mode. We still had fun, but the state was dangerous in my opinion. It is a nice place to have a fun spend money. Kids will love it for sure and grown up too
