Burger bar crescent, like its name says, specialize in burger and drinks. There's a lot of alcohol offering, I think more pages dedicated to different drinks then food. As for the food, yes lots of burger, but also offerings that are in regular burger places like salads, poutine and such. The place is on the second floor and span on two floor with an outdoor terrasse (I think on both floor). If you are in a wheelchair or can't go up stairs, you can't reach the restaurant. There's no elevator anywhere (although I don't even know where they could fit it). The place is quite small, like most restaurant near that place. The bathroom are only on the second (third) floor. I took the supersonic burger with fries. The fries are generic fried brown fry you get from corner shack but less greasy (in fact I didn't taste the grease/oil). The burger I took was very good. It felt different then regular burger I take at other place where you can taste the grease or something that make the burger heavy. I finished eating it and while I was full, it felt like I had a light filling meal. My girlfriend took another burger I forgot the name and she really liked it. She took it with the salads which is mostly just greens. You can substitute the buns for lettuce for free. There's also different sides offering, some with extras frees like poutine. The service this time was good. No big wait, waitress came at multiple time to check to see if everything was ok and to refill our glass. read more

Busy street full of bars serving food, and I stopped here because I was specifically craving a smash burger. The space itself is cool--bar seating, tables, an upstairs area, and a patio. Service was friendly too. The burger comes with fries, salad, or coleslaw. I went with the vinegar-based coleslaw, which was decent. Unfortunately, the "smash" burger wasn't really smashed at all. The patty was thick, lacked that crispy grilled edge and flavor, and honestly tasted more like a premade burger than a true smashburger. Two bites in and I was over it. As has become a tradition, this is my stop on Sunday night after the Grand Prix. Always pleasant service and great food at a great bar right in the middle of the Crescent street fair. It's gluten friendly and tonight I ate at the bar. I had a Montréal smoked meat smash burger on lettuce bun with coleslaw. Simply delicious. Came here on a Friday night, no need for resys which is great. Was seated downstairs by the entrance which was a little annoying because it was cold everytime someone opened the door. I love a neighborly bar. My friend and I stopped in on a rainy Sunday. The bar was empty, perfect! A few people seated upstairs and downstairs. It was also happy hour. I enjoyed the Paloma Margarita, twice. My friend ordered a local beer to start but once he tried my Paloma Margarita he switched for his second round. The buffalo wings are by far some of the best wings buffalo wings I've ever eaten. Perfectly seasoned and fried. Although they were smothered with the house made buffalo sauce they never lost their sogginess. Both the buffalo and ranch dressings are to die farewell. Both house made. For entrees I went with the Supersonic, loved the smoked bacon on it. I chose a side salad for my side. My friend went with the Firestorm and boy was it HOT!! Fries for his side dish. Loved the fries, so good, we ended up sharing them. We absolutely had to try the coleslaw and pickle because we've gotten some at restaurant we tried in Montreal. Im sorry maybe you have an issue with tourist but I think you should understand how international coverage works and not have menus at your door if you don't want people to use them! I did say to my group, not to the staff that I was okay with leaving after you told us to not sit down after we placed an $80 order! December 2022 - COVID Review: I wish I knew ahead of time how delicious this restaurant would be - we definitely would've saved it for last on our trip! Despite being voted #1 best burger in Montreal (yes, the burgers are really good), the poutine was SO good here. So good in fact that it actually set the bar too high for the rest of our Montreal trip that all other poutine we had just didn't taste good. The hangover poutine is a must have - the egg really makes a huge difference. Absolutely unacceptable experience--some of the rudest treatment I've ever received at a restaurant ! I walked into Burger Bar Crescent and clearly told the server I was ordering takeout. They handed me a menu--no issue at all. Then the manager came over, asked what I was doing (even though I was clearly looking at the menu), and when I told him I was ordering takeout, he abruptly said, "We're not doing takeout," and snatched the menu out of my hands. No apology, no explanation--just rude and humiliating behavior that made me feel like I was somehow in the wrong. I left stunned and posted a Google review about the experience. The owner replied with a wooden, PR-scripted message saying they "frequently offer takeout" and hope I "give them another chance." No acknowledgment of what actually happened, no responsibility taken--just corporate fluff meant to save face, not address real issues. I will never step foot in that establishment again and will actively steer my clients and colleagues away from it. With so many great restaurants in Montreal, there's absolutely no excuse for this level of arrogance and unprofessionalism. Response to the Owner's Tone-Deaf Reply: Morris, this wasn't a "slight I felt" or a vague "misunderstanding." Your manager snatched a menu out of my hands after I followed what your own staff told me. And now, twice, you've avoided owning up to that. I discovered this gem last Sunday and was so impressed by the burger and service that I came back. Today was the Big Blue and let me tell u. Those BBQ chips inside with blue cheese were the cherry in the cake lol. Firestorm burger was also great. If u want to feel some heat than do it. LOVE this spot! We had a great Sunday lunch here. Ice cold beer on tap, great selection on their menu and fun atmosphere. Our waiter was AWESOME. He was super friendly and attentive. Here in Montréal on business (still) and I've been eating well for the most part, but I had a craving for a nice, juicy burger since I've seen this place while walking around downtown, so let's try it! Here's how it went. Atmosphere/Appearance: This place is quaint and tucked right on Rue Crescent. There is only street parking, so good luck with that. Lol. Once inside you're immediately met with the bar on the right and a line of 2-top/4-top tables that can be pushed together on the left. There's a very "homey" vibe here and I felt comfortable. It reminded me of just like, eating in someone's living room. Then you can go upstairs where there's another bar for the busy days and more seating. I really liked it in here. Service: The first time I came here Adrian took care of me and he was awesome. He took great care of me and made me feel so welcome. The 2nd time I came I got takeout, but was treated with the same respect as if I were dining in. Food: My first time I came I got the Brie & Mushroom AAA Bison Burger. LAWD! It was fantastic. It was so juicy, meaty, savory and just amazing. I upgraded my fries to sweet potato fries and they were too... fantastic. Burger Bar KILLED it. So while I was perusing the menu, I noticed they had wings. Y'all know how I feel about wings, so say no more. 2 days after that burger (likely a Wednesday for Wing Wednesday), I came back and got an order or Buffalo Blue wings as well as their Extra Spicy wings. They were so good! The burger was a bit better, but still the wings were fire FOR SURE. I'd totally come back for them. Value: (All prices are in $CAD.) My burger was $24.00 and to add the sweet potato fries was $3.95. My wings were $16.00 each and you get 10 in an order. Very good value for the quality of food that you get. While my server said the burgers are outstanding (as does their reputation), and the mac and cheese selections looked amazing, I took a slightly more sensible route of the Chix Dig It grilled chicken sandwich and was greatly rewarded. OMG! All I can say is GO HUNGRY! Roadhouse Burger was amazing and I selected a salad as a side. It was a delicious burger and a substantial salad. I had to sort of deconstruct it to be able to take a bite - took off the crispy onion rings and ate them separately. My granddaughter had a chicken sandwich with avocado - can't remember the name- and a load of crispy fries to go with it! I tried Lacroix Cider for the first time - and as my server predicted, it was very good and somewhat dry. So enjoyable! read more

Here I was back in Montréal and I knew I had to go back to Burger Bar Crescent. It was busy it was a Saturday and the Canadians had a home game, but we found the last three seats at the bar. They have a main floor and then an upstairs area as well. We had THE BEST service from the bartender, Sebastien. He gave us good advice on food choices and made great drinks. And he was friendly too! Prices are reasonable for all of the food you get ($21.95 for a burger) Everything we had we shared so we managed to try a decent amount. They do an up-charge ($5.95) for adding poutine or onion rings as a side to their burgers - do it- it is worth it! The poutine and burgers were great with the belle bleu burger being our favorite- lots of delish flavors with the toppings and very fresh buns. The family size Mac and Cheese was divine. We had the regular poutine but next time I am having the buffalo chicken poutine. You won't regret this stop. read more
