Blue Oaks Cremation and Burial Services hurt our family through carelessness. Although all…read morepaperwork given to them was correct, checked and rechecked, they misspelled our mother's name on the death certificate. It takes months for a correction to be made. Without the accurate death certificate absolutely nothing can be done. We cannot cancel and close accounts, we cannot invest, take dividends, or set up the trust account that is required. We cannot take the steps needed with the lawyer to file with the court, and there is a deadline for that. We cannot grieve without her will and wishes being realized. We would never recommend Blue Oaks to anyone and will warn as many people as we can about their negligence.

During such a sensitive and emotional time, her behavior was incredibly unprofessional and lacked basic compassion. She was impatient, dismissive, and even rolled her eyes while we were performing a cultural ritual to honor and say goodbye to our grandmother. We were delayed about 20 minutes because a few family members took a wrong turn, but during that time, we could have been given the opportunity to spend meaningful final moments with our loved one. Instead, that opportunity was taken from us. When we were finally allowed to view our grandmother, we were given only a few seconds, barely enough time to process the moment, while Lizzy counted down with her fingers. It felt rushed, cold, and deeply disrespectful. She then left immediately afterward, offering no support or understanding. This is a beautiful graveyard where our family members are laid to rest, and in the past, we've had directors who were kind, patient, and accommodating. That is why this experience was especially shocking. No grieving family should be treated with such insensitivity. I truly hope no one else has to go through what we experienced.

I called and always spoke to a human, in fact Philip is who I spoke to every time. Every call, he was very helpful and to the point, not guessing how to answer or wasting time with info I didn't need. I was able to get an appointment fast, and his time frames were quicker than other places I called. Everything went smoothly and was right on schedule like he said it would be. I explained that I was on a tight schedule, because I was from out of town, so I asked if there was a way to get the certificate a little early. Philip pulled through and was able to get me the certificates a day earlier than he originally said. That left me an extra day to take care of some of the things necessary before I had to leave again. A huge thank you to Stein & Sons for taking care of us during this difficult time.
