Customer Service - Needs training. So I walk into their shop, and there are 3 employees. All busy. I wait 10 mins to ask about installing options on my new car. 2 employees walk out. Last guy takes a phone call. I wait. He finishes the phone call, and we start talking. In walks another customer. He leaves me hanging - nothing said to me, and starts working with the new guy. I had a remote start installed by these guys in December. About 4 months ago, my vehicle key fob which had been programmed to work with it lost all range. I took it to the dealership and they told me it was the remote start system. I ended up purchasing a full Viper alarm/remote start combo from Best Buy, and the Geek Squad installers told me I'd need to remove the old system before bringing it in, and that they didn't like touching previous installs by Audio One because they just twisted wires together and then electrical taped over them. Today I got to pulling the remote start system out. Sure enough, all the main power and starter wires (that carry a good bit of amperage) were just twisted together and electrical taped! Add to that the fact that the install was a complete rat's nest, and they used about 100 zip ties. Sure enough, the moment I removed the remote start, my key fob range went back to normal. I can only attribute this to improper wiring procedures. This is NOT a professional installation. I worked electronics in the Air Force for a decade, and if I'd known beforehand about the way they do their installs, I would've never had it done! Honestly the quality of that install was something I'd expect a novice with no prior experience to produce. Not to mention the wiring was completely unsafe! That this shop billed this installation as professional is laughable! I'd strongly urge everyone to look elsewhere before having anything installed at Audio One. read more

Had four new speakers installed in my F150. The job was done quick and all door panels looked perfect. Price was reasonable.

I took my Explorer in to Audio One in Norfolk, VA to see about getting audio equipment installed. Josh (the manager) walked me through the entire process and made the recommendations that he thought I needed. Even though I stopped short of his recommendations on the first go-around and eventually ended up going with his advice the second time around, he NEVER gave up. He and the entire shop are simply great people and steller installers. Josh took the time to educate me at every turn regarding all the new technology I was getting installed. As far as price goes, these guys are more than competitive. Equipment prices were very much in line with Crutchfield and Amazon. I now have a full system with active crossovers and it flat out ROCKS!!! Do yourself a favor and go see these guys and support a local small business. read more

I would give it a negative star if i could. when i received my truck today with my newly installed radio the speakers were blown. i messed with the settings and to no avail nothing worked. so i go back into the store and they blamed me because they said i shouldnt have changed the settings. apparently they knew of a certain setting that blows the speakers. they refused to take responsibility when i knew that they(my speakers) were perfectly fine when i turned the truck over to them. now i have to buy a new speaker when i did not have to before. it might be a scam to get me to purchase more from them. They did a great job on the installation of 4 new speakers I wanted put in and for a reasonable price. I actually did a walk-in and even though they were busy they were still able to do the work within a couple of hours. Jeff is the one who helped me and was super nice and knows his stuff. Back when it was Go-Ho Audio a lot of the staff and sales people weren't the nicest or most helpful, but I heard new management was completely different and I can attest that the guys who run it now are different like night and day! ***review update 16 May 2019**** I have been having some rattling coming from my door panels on the front drivers side and passenger side doors. I removed the door panel on the passenger side to find the crossover box for my tweeters laying in between the door panel and the door. Again I was extremely frustrated with the awful installation Audio One performed I will now have to remove everything and correct the problem when I have time. Definitely reassured me on the poor workmanship I received on my install****** I'm rating my experience with Audio One in Norfolk at a 2 star. I purchased my audio system online (all JL audio high end speakers and amps) I wanted a professional installation to compliment the high end products I had purchased. I stopped in on a Saturday to talk about installation and price the tech I spoke with sounded very knowledgeable and professional I set an appointment to have the installation completed on a Tuesday. I arrived at the set time and they were ready for me with an open bay and pulled my truck inside. They said the install would take all day which was no problem. I returned to pick up my vehicle around 4pm and they were just finishing up the install. The system sounded phenomenal and I was more than pleased with the sound quality, however the installation was no where near what I was expecting from a "professional" they mounted the controller and door amp under the drivers seat the screws they used to fasten them were not long enough and were not secure at all which caused the seat to snag on them when it moved forward and back the wire routing looked like trash with many zip ties holding the wire cover on. They had used a zip tie to hold the battery terminal cover on rather than replacing it with a proper connector the installer left solder and cut off wire ends throughout the entire cab the subwoofer mounting bracket had two different types of hardware used and it appeared when they drilled the hole for the mount they drilled in the wrong spot so I ended up with a screwed up looking mount bracket and again they left the shavings from drilling the holes right where they fell in the cab. For the price I paid them to install this system I DID not expect it to look like crap. I wouldn't recommend them or would I go back. read more

Excellent, quick service. 50 bucks to install a radio into my truck. I bought my head unit and dash kit at other stores and called audio one to install it. They serviced me right when I got there and it took about an hour. There was an issue with my dash kit not properly seating so they put in a temporary dash kit just to seat it. Jeff ordered the proper dash kit for my truck which was delivered in about 5 days. Once delivered I came back to audio one and was quickly serviced again. Great experience with this business and I recommend those who want radios installed to come here. read more

Recently gotten some work done. While the customer service was great i am not pleased with the service. I came in with a malfunctioning stereo and i explained to them that i believed that there was an internal problem with the wiring to get a complete fix but all that was done was just a basic reset and i am still stuck with the same issue i had before. They told me after everything was working that they recommended i get a new one but i am extremely dissatisfied that they never went as far as to check the wiring like i pointed out and let me leave knowing my stereo would malfunction again. read more

So I just left audio one and I'm not happy with the services. I was completely and entirely charged way too much for a very poor job done!!! I recently broke the screen in my car to my radio" I asked if they can replace the screen they told me no you need to replace the whole system" I agreed and asked were they able to replace it with the same thing that is there" he told me yes then offered me one that was touch screen for just a lil more money" I agreed to the touch screen. It came In pretty quick after the order and when I seen it put in after they where done and asked me to come pick up my car" I see the radio and it looks nothing like it did before! My dash had scratches and my radio was sunk into the dash" and I seem like a very poor job for as much money as I needed to pay..... and while the man was explaining some of the reasons why it looked like this he slipped and told me the price of the radio! Which was only $300$.... I paid these people 623.00 after he took off 50$ calling it a deal So I paid this man $323 for 30 minutes worth of work of putting this radio in! And he did a poor job" I expressed my complaints to them and they sounded happy to help" and we came to a conclusion to keep me happy which was just to flush the radio to the rest of my dash so it is even and doesn't look sunk in" as I'm picking my car up today it still looks damn near exactly the same energy seems like this was a waste of my time and I wish I would have went somewheres else to get this fixed because now I have this piece of crap radio sunk into my dash that looks like it belongs in a fucking 1989 Honda! read more

On 4/27/16 Audio One Virginia Beach, Va 24352 reinstalled a messed up audio system and wiring done by a local Virginia Beach Audio Rim Shop who suffer from no pride in their work. . Audio One shop Virginia Beach team was professional and went above and beyond to fix my husband's truck with GPS, Sirius Radio, back up mirror, and wires that were installed incorrectly by a local Virginia beach Rim Shop. The Audio One team vacuumed my husband's truck and returned in it perfect shape. Excellent workmanship. Great customer service and knowledge of all products.
