So I found this place on Offer Up and bought a portable AC, it's described at new in the box but it's not, it's refurbished or used because a brand new AC wouldn't have scratches on it fresh out the box and the instruction manual is a photo copy of the original and folded like a shopper like me wouldn't know. As many reviewers here have stated, owner is extremely rude. To shop here you have to roam around the streets to find a parking place, walk down wet pee soaked streets and then go into a store and then deal with a hostile, bitter and rude little man. He advertises one price on Facebook Market Place, when you arrive he asks for a higher price for the item. When you question him he gets upset, then explains how he's losing money on other items and has raised the price from the Facebook Market Place advertised price to offset that fact. read more

I bought a TV from Audio Video Plaza in downtown LA, and when I called with a simple follow-up question, the man who answered (Kourosh Nabati) immediately started yelling and acting aggressively -- completely unprofessional and unnecessary. The whole situation felt sketchy, and I'm now questioning whether the products are even legit. The receipt was handwritten, and nothing about the customer service felt trustworthy or respectful. If this is how they treat customers after the sale, I do not recommend doing business here. Save your time, money, and peace of mind -- go somewhere reputable. This guy then looked me dead in the eye and said "$700 plus $75 sales tax" (this is a Facebook marketplace listing)... the shop keeper then gives me a disgusted face after I told him I only brought $700... When I brought it back home, the TV was BROKEN BROKEN. He also gave me this scribbled piece of paper calling it a "1 year warranty". Also says you can only replace it with other broken recalled items from his... " shop". I've been to a lot of bad places before, but I have NEVER written a review. Beware of this business. They advertise their products as new and will NOT tell you that it's refurbished with many defects and missing parts. I bought a 65" TV from this store and had my fiance come pick it up. The owner brought the TV out in the middle of a busy street so that my fiance couldn't take his time inspecting it. He just casually opened to box to give a quick glance inside and said "it's new". Upon bringing it home, there were a ton of dings and the base that is needed to stand the TV up was missing. We are not mounting the TV on the wall, so this missing part was detrimental, rendering the TV unusable to us. I brought the issue up and the response we got was "this isn't Costco or Best Buy, what do you expect?" Throughout the advertisements and conversation, he kept on harping on the product being "new". Only when I pay and find the defects and missing parts, then did he say "it's new condition" (which it's also untrue since new condition means no defects and all the parts are there). Refurbished items are not inherently bad, but it should not be advertised as new to trick people into buying. Also, refurbished item defects and missing parts should have been disclosed. This business is a scam and I would implore people to find a more honest business to spend your money at. There has been no apologies or attempts to remedy this atrocity by the owner. If you read the reviews, I am not the only person who have experienced this. You can find reviews going back to 2019 that products are falsely advertised as new when it's not. Yet, the owner is still continuing to pass off his defective electronics as "new", showing that he's aware of what he's doing, but will continue with his scam business. He knows that if he were honest and tell people the products are refurbished, he wouldn't be able to get people to pay the exorbitant prices he's asking for. You can find used products at much cheaper prices and better conditions than the products that are sold here. These people are a smear to small businesses everywhere, basically saying "if you want honesty and a good product, go to Best Buy or Costco". There is a Best Buy 1 mile away from us; instead, we drove 1.5 hours away to get scammed. Update: He was able to deliver us the appropriate base for the TV, so it is now usable. read more

No idea how this place has been in business for 30 years. They are running pure fraud and schemes. We found this place because the owner was selling a "new" frame TV with a wall mount. Before purchasing we asked multiple times if the wall mount was in the same box and they told us "yes" several times and rushed us out the door by putting the box directly in our car. We took this owner at face value, but when we got home we discovered it was 1) not new and had a certificate of it being "refurbished" and 2) it did not have a wall mount. And the owner was well aware of this after we confronted him about. After a lot of back and forth and him yelling at my fiancé in the store when he asked for a refund, we received a refund. It seems like this a common scheme the owner is pulling. I wish we would have seen these reviews first. The owner is dishonest & disrespectful. If I could give 0 stars I would. Bought an LG portable AC here. We brought it home and it worked fine for the first 2 hours. After that it kept throwing out water from where the cold air comes out from. It kept saying the water tank was "full". So we went to exchange the AC, as we thought we may have gotten a faulty unit. Get home, try it out and it does the EXACT same thing. Will be going back tomorrow to speak to the owner. Although from the other reviews it looks like it may be pointless. read more

DO NOT SHOP HERE! Today, 07/21/2023 I purchased a Toshiba Portable AC for $215 total and I was promised by management and the workers that this item was brand new. Unfortunately, this was a lie. When I got home, I discovered that the body of the AC was dented and damaged, including a buzzing noise which wasn't normal. I immediately contacted the store and was told to come back. When I got there, I asked why I was lied to and told that this item was new, when it was clearly refurbished? An argument ensued between the manager and I, and I ended up receiving my full refund instead of doing an exchange, as I planned. Don't shop here. We drove 60 miles to buy a speaker and it was a 15 inch Bluetooth speaker. It was in a box nicely sealed and when we got home, the speaker was scratched and had a lot of paint transfers like when it was bumped into walls. It was obviously a used speaker with quite a bit of damage. The guy wanted to sell us the demo but we clearly requested a brand new speaker. Well, we did not get a brand new speaker.
