The unit would successfully turn on, but the main display screen would constantly flash the same "PUSH POWER PROTECTOR" message over and over, and I could no longer navigate between the home theatre, DVD, and CD modes on the unit. To make matters worse, my regular repair shop told me that attempting to fix such an issue for a 2007 DVD system in 2024 would be prohibitively expensive, and that there was nothing they could do. This was my first visit to Sigma Electronics, and I will definitely be a repeat customer. Unlike the other repair services I spoke to, Joseph was able to correctly diagnose and fix the problem in less than one week, all while being backlogged with an epic number of pre-existing orders. His price for such a fix was great too, much less than buying a new unit. (And since my home theatre system is for a 1994 Panasonic CRT TV, I can't even use a modern sound system for such a setup, even if I wanted to.) Thank you so much for doing what nobody else could do, Joseph. And for such a great price, and so quickly as well. I will definitely be coming back to you for any future repair jobs!

Once I was able to drop off it was another 6 weeks before I was able to pick up. Joe said it was unrepairable or it would take a very long time to fix and he was not willing to repair. I did contact Rotel and they told me they haven't heard from Joe for months and that he was retiring. I paid him his fee, with no receipt or report when I asked for it, he said he would email me, that was April 25, 2025. I contacted Joe again on May 2, 2025, he was on holidays, and would send in two week when he gets back. June 20, 2025 today and still nothing, terrible service. If you needed money for your retirement you could have just asked. Enjoy my money Joe oh and by the way my amp is repaired by an expert.

We waited for about ten mins and the finally asked a Best Buy person who told us she doesn't work in that depth, and the sales person for that section was busy. So, we waited another 10 mins and finally approached a couple LG TV sales rep who were in the store. They helped find the TV we acted. When we finally found sales person, we told her which TV she wanted. It was open box so they had to find all the accessories. They looked for another 19 mins and nothing. We finally approached the Best Buy sales person and said not to bother as we will look elsewhere. She was not the least apologetic and couldn't have cared less losing a sale. We bought the same TV at the Brick and the whole sale took no more than 5 mins. In the car and gone. Wake up Best Buy, you're going to lose a lot of customer with that attitude.

Each department has different people who are more knowledgeable when it comes to them, so make sure you ask the blue shirt associate if they know anything about what you're looking for before you start to waste your time to explain what it is you're looking for. The store is large and roomy and for those who don't know, the front is not the only checkout line... they have check out tills scattered at the back of the store that are faster sometimes. On huge sales days.... it is really hard to know which line you need to be in and it's best to just ask. I find that I tend to go to the store when they have their sales on as I prefer buying from a store than ordering online.... so just have to be prepared to be patient.

Phoned Memory Express on the South side of Edmonton and Reese, (a human being), answered and understood what I needed and exactly how to procure it. I am not a computer expert but I knew what I wanted and what questions to ask. My solution took 5 minutes for Reese to develop. I wish there were more stars to give. At the moment, they are just not able to answer the phones due to sheer volume and staffing, so calling for curbside or other information is not possible. It's a pandemic...everyone take a breath, they will still help you out - and with a smile! There is NO in-person shopping. I'd definitely recommend shopping online, getting all your screen shots or part numbers on a list before you arrive to not waste the staff's time as they are BUSY. I arrived and the parking lot wasn't very busy - good sign. There were only a couple of folks ahead of me, and the floor is clearly marked for physical distancing, and someone was at the door to direct guests. Staff were all super busy, and I went late at night to avoid people... the staff were cheerful, HELPFUL, and went to great lengths to find the borescope/endoscope camera I came for (the website said there were 8 in stock,) so it was just a matter of finding their hiding spot. It took two staff to locate it, and locate it they did. I felt safe, staff sanitized the PIN pad after every guest, and I witnessed frequent cleaning by all the staff at the registers. I like to shop local... a lot, and I want to keep my IT peeps fed and housed. I like having a local shop that I can return or exchange items if there's an issue, and Memory Express does that and more for my personal and work needs. Ordering online... you can do that too! They definitely ship, and I wouldn't hesitate except I needed it sooner than later to check my vent for birds/nests - yes it's November/December, but I don't want to block any feathered friends inside before putting on the screening! The only location offering Curbside right now is in Manitoba, however, with the upcoming new restrictions in Alberta, check with them on Monday...that may change!
