As I was putting it back in the box,a Lond Drugs clerk came up to me and was mad that I had opened the box and they couldn't sell it anymor.I told her that it was was the Item that I wanted and was going to buy it! My review...is biased. I only ever visit this location for camera gear. Why do I make the trek from Sherwood Park to downtown when there are several closer to home? Their canera sales people are top notch. They are photographers who know their stuff and their zeal for their hobby and profession shows. Just had a great experience with the cosmetics manager today, she knows her stuff and made me feel valued. She was friendly, professional, down to earth and definitely gets how customer service should work. I couldn't be more impressed and I hope she trains as many people far and wide to have the same attitude. Thanks to her I will not only be exclusively shopping here but I will tell my colleagues and friends to do the same. It helps that London Drugs believes in customer service as well, I've never had a problem there ever but I was blown away by her service. They offer many different brands, some that you have to go to specialty stores for(in all departments). I love there pantry selections, make up department(Canadian brands!). & with their new reno's this place is looking amazing. They have new self checkouts that are handy. I used to shop more frequent at this London Drugs when I lived close by but hadn't step foot in a few years. I recently stopped by to pick up some items I saw on sale in the flyer. The sale items are a great price and I find they are cheaper than other pharmacies. The variety of merchandise has expanded over the years to become a one stop shop. You can find items on your every day list or gifts and they have a large small appliances section which is great. It was after work and the store was busy. They had 3 cash registers running and another opened up so the wait wasn't long. The cashiers are friendly too. I like London Drugs and will continue to shop at this chain and this location when I'm in the area. read more

This is a standard London Drugs location. It carries all the products that you might expect from a pharmacy of this style, which much variety of general merchandise, a small computers section and a small audio-visual section. Strangely enough it is the best place to source the mini dark chocolate Toblerone bars at good prices in Edmonton! As of December 2013, it hosts a package pickup spot which is convenient as this location's hours are much longer than the nearby postal outlet hours. That said it does take quite some time for staff to retrieve packages from the back of the store when you go to pick them up. Often staff appears to be stressed when I shop there. They are friendly enough, of course, and reasonably helpful, as is their job, but they do often look tired and/or stressed which might be an indication of the workplace culture at this store? This location has fast become my go-to for pretty much... anything but home repair items, and even then, light bulbs, tape, glue and adhesive abound. Computers, cameras, TVs, tech in general, photo finishing, appliances, pharmacy, cosmetics... heck, even Gluten Free groceries and at a great price too. This location is bright, clean, and helpfully has a public washroom...very welcome! Parking is plentiful, carts take a coin, but they have rolling baskets for the usual trips I make. Flyers are bi-weekly, but look for Managers specials in between. Hours are helpful, although there could be more cashiers from time to time, but overall, my first stop when I need something. read more

Okay so this place is majorly improved since the recent renovations (which are still in progress). The store is kind of like a treasure hunt- the aisles are so jam packed with products that you almost stumble upon things. I got some of the flip top glass bottles I've been searching for for my home brewed kombucha- hallelujah! London drugs always has some great sales on, and their prices are super reasonable to begin with. The staff is okay, and they have a massive electronics department and a really good clearance section. I think the only downside about this place is the vibe around it. The outside feels a little bit sketchy, although I don't believe the neighborhood is necessarily unsafe. Can't put my finger on that one! read more

Honestly the store is great, well stocked, easy to navigate overall great but do NOT use the online pick up. Went to the pick up desk rude man didn't even look at me and said to wait by a blue door (no sign on this door) said he'd call someone to help, waited 10 mins no one showed then another man who had spoken to another employee showed up someone came and helped him first... partially the other shoppers fault since he just blew past me to be helped first but still. Took forever for them to grab his packages and then finally they helped me I could have grabbed my online order and left before she had finished helping the guy. And the guy at the pick up desk kept bugging the girl helping over the radio telling her to go get a price check for some item he was checking a lady out on. Biggest issue was the first guy at the pick up desk (maybe a manager? Not sure) I don't think he even called anyone to help me. He was also functioning as the only manned til other than self serve. Which probably distracted him but still it takes like 30 seconds to call someone to help. They also substituted like 3 out of my 5 items no mention of doing so and the substitutions are no where near what I had ordered... I don't like complaining but I'm tired of old men treating me poorly because I'm young and a female and me not saying anything.. read more

This is my neighborhood London Drugs. For me it is hit or miss. I found really cool things here inside such as cheap on sale ear buds for iPhone, sale on sanpellagrino, a quality blowdryer, a small yet effective humidifier were all things that made me happy about shopping here. But sometimes the line ups are ridiculous even though there might be three tills open. The pharmacy is extremely slow, I remember it took forever to find my gf's insurance in their system. And often it is just one person doing drop offs even when there is a line up. It isn't worth your time. Go to the shoppers on Jasper ave as I've found they are so much quicker due to less line-ups. The photo lab isn't bad, though I've had times where there appears to be nobody at the station. When someone is there the service is good. All in all I would say that it is an average drug/household retail store, but a convenient place because it is open late. read more

Well this location is ok, but in the evening there aren't a whole lot of front end staff. We stopped in for a couple hair products and to have a look around. Upon leaving their was one clerk in the front and one at the return exchange. We waited almost 20 minutes to pay and leave. Good lord. This location could use a good cleaning to brighten it up a bit. This is a great place for everything you need! They always have great deals on food, treats. Surprisingly they sell clothes which are pretty nice! We have used the photo services as well a couple times and the photos turn out well. It's so convenient to stop in because we live in the Oliver square location. If they had groceries this would be the only place I shop. The staff is always courteous and friendly. Fast service. Short lines. The pharmacy is also great fast service. read more

Given that London Drugs presents itself as a drugstore first and an electronics store second, I was very impressed with their camera selection. It is superior to a number of other big box electronics stores I have been to and, unlike said big box stores, they actually had the cameras they keep on display in stock in the store. They had everything from basic $100 Nikon Coolpix to much higher end professional models, and a wide variety of accessories. More importantly, their staff were very knowledgeable and friendly. I got some great customer service from a lovely lady named Karen B, who certainly seemed to care for her customers and make the effort to help them make smart consumer decisions while making them feel at home. (Update: I filled out feedback about the service on the London Drugs website and about half an hour later they emailed me to let me know they appreciate the feedback and would be giving Karen a commendation. Wow, they work fast!) All camera purchases come with a free digital photography CD guidebook and coupons. I'm very satisfied. read more

I love the selection at this London Drugs - they even have Red Vines! (their pharmacy selection, however, it terrible. good luck even finding aspirin. once I asked the pharmacist for a common product and they actually didn't sell it...) I also really like the deals that they sometimes have - for a long time I was looking for a basket to put next to my bed and I finally found a really nice one here for $4. The big problem I have with this location, though, is that it always seems kind of dirty and grimy. It's one of those stores where you just want to immediately wash your hands after leaving. I always check the expiry dates on any food purchases because the dustiness makes me think stuff might sit on the shelf a bit too long... There's also usually only 1 cashier on at a time so it might take awhile to get through the checkout, depending on how chatty they are that day. Usually Canada Post delivers to my door, thankfully, but twice I've had them drop off my parcel here and oh my goodness is it trying. You have to pick up from Customer Service. One time I ended up waiting (second in line) for TWENTY minutes at Customer Service while both ladies helped the same man complain about a product (he was already done his return, he literally just complained for twenty minutes and they listened to him and didn't help anybody else). read more

I think London Drugs is my favourite drugstore chain, just because they seem to have EVERYTHING. It also never seems to get too busy here, even during holidays and other peak shopping times. I've found the service here a bit hit-and-miss. Some of the staff are really helpful, some not so much. On my last trip, the guy in the computers section tried to talk me out of getting the adaptor I'd chosen, even though I knew it was the right one (and it was). London Drugs is also my family's favourite stocking-stuffer shopping destination, probably due to EVERYTHING + never busy :) read more

I love this London drugs! Every time I've gone in, I've been met with excellent customer service and nothing but friendly and amazing employees! Even when they're super busy, they're cheerful and happy unlike some other retail stores. You never feel like you're bothering them and they're all great at their jobs. They have weekly flyers with great deals in them and carry anything from canned goods, dry food, candies, to home decor and electronics. This location has a pharmacy as well. Aside from produce, this is definitely a convenient one stop shop. One of the perks I've found is their section of imported food, candies, and biscuits! I love being able to find food that you normally wouldn't at superstore. They have a pretty big selection of British and other European treats :) I'm very happy I started coming here and will be visiting this location regularly! read more

This London Drugs is great! From the cosmetics to camera department, everyone is patient and helpful. The grocery section, though small, has a nice selection of ethnic items, cookies and teas. If I am ever in a bind, more often than not, London Drugs pulls through with what I need. Examples of random things I have had to run out and get last minute from LD: - nails (for hanging pictures) - eyelash glue (halloween party) - camera charger (packing for vacation) - a futon (surprise visit from out of town guests) - safety pins (fly won't stay up!) - string lights (Christmas tree burned out) - a plunger (...'nuff said) They are open until 10 as well! I always think of London Drugs as Shoppers Drug Mart on steroids. It's much bigger and offers a huge variety of things. It's like the love child of the packaged foods section of a grocery store, shopper's drug mart and a futureshop. You can find TV's, computers, camera's, shampoo, deodorant, drugs, toothpaste, food, clothes, furniture, etc. It's actually a great place for everyday necessities. It's cheap and well stocked. I personally think its underrated and people need to give it the props it deserves. read more

My Grandparents first introduced me to London Drugs at an early age. It seemed in their house if you couldn't get it at London Drugs you didn't really need it. Now that I live only a few blocks away from London Drugs, I am beginning to agree with them. London Drugs carries a smattering of everything and generally sticks to quality brands when stocking their shelves. Their electronics section is one of the best kept secrets in my opinion as their staff is usually more knowledgeable and helpful than the average big box store but they consistently match or beat their prices. An added bonus is that they stock a pretty decent vinyl collection in a variety of genres. The housewares section is well rounded holding everything from small appliances to dishes for entertaining. I especially like that the times I have bought appliances from London Drugs I found that the brands in stock were reasonable quality which took out a lot of the guess work. They stock a unique variety of furniture such as shelves, desks, small couches, and seasonal items. The beauty section is a reasonable size and they also carry luxury brands such as Lancôme, Clarins, Shiseido and Elizabeth Arden. The food section is mostly stocked with items that do not require refrigeration. I find they also stock brands that you cannot find in other stores. Their sales are often a much better price than the grocery store and usually are on more expensive items. The customer service also acts as a parcel pick up for some neighborhoods which is convenient given their late hours. London Drugs is one of the few stores with Canadian origins that in my opinion still strives to deliver the quality of service it set out to when its doors first opened in the 1940's. If I can't shop at a local independent for my items I prefer to support Canadian and like my grandparents London Drugs is my first choice. read more

Love London Drugs...they have everything. (Except for sesame snaps. :() The only complaint I have is that once I went to make a purchase from the computer department and the woman was kind of clueless and made a pretty stupid comment. I've noticed that they have a lot of stuff you wouldn't expect to find in a drug store like Steve Madden shoes, Hollister shirts, Calvin Klein belts. The other day I got a a pretty decent chiffon blouse (I'm really picky about clothes). The section I love most is the beauty department, for when I need some makeup without breaking the bank. (Although they do have Lancome, Lise Watier, Clarins etc.) The return policy is really lenient, I've returned used cosmetic products with no questions asked and the staff are really friendly. The only "bad" thing is that I never leave empty handed! Even if I'm just browsing, I always leave with a magazine or new mascara to try. read more

Weather I had a horrid experience at London Drugs pharmacy. I had an 80.00 bottle of serum for face which I couldn't open. I went to pharmacy There I found a guy who looked like he could open it and unstick the plugged hose on the applicator..some other lady came along and interrupted our conversation ( him and I discussing the serum bottle problem He quickly went with her to help her find something I assume. At this point was the last time I saw my 80.00 bottle of serum! I was totally unaware that there was 4 young guys all working there that about the same size hair etc. I saw 3 of them and not one looked like the . One that I gave serum to! I took it to management ( complaint) and he changed the story around. He said that I was prejudice.and didn't like them! Never did I say nor mean that. ( BTW. accidentally I did see the 4th young man He's the stock boy. He's the one I gave the serum to thinking that he was a pharmacy worker. Now I am not about to let this slide. I will pursue this until I get some satisfaction such as serum relaced. I ..am.older women I feel sorry for others with complaints They (staff.i including manager really are the prejudiced ones and now trying to rip off an old lady! If I was faced with the choice of deciding which one store to shop at for the rest of my life, I would choose London Drugs. All London Drugs locations throughout the city are nice, and I frequent Oliver Square location simply because it is closest to my house. London Drugs is a one-stop shop, and it is fantastic! It has everything: from electronics to furniture, and from cosmetics to food. Despite the fact that London Drugs carries an eclectic selection of items, the store doesn't feel overstaffed, and all items seem to be carefully selected. None of the products look cheap, useless or poorly made. My hat goes off to London Drugs' merchandisers. I love that the inventory changes quite often, and there is something new in stock be it new cosmetics brand or a new type of German shortbread cookies:) The food section is amazing, by the way. I always end up walking out with bagful of cookies, sauces and pre-packed Japanese and Indian ready to eat meals. Although shopping at London Drugs' food section won't replace trips to your regular grocery store, it is definitely worth checking out! All London Drugs employees are friendly and helpful. Whether you need something from the pharmacy or can't decide which digital camera to buy, you will be assisted in the most professional manner. read more

I'm quite surprised by London Drugs. I always knew them as pricey but they really have come a long way since it was easily 10 years ago since I last stepped foot in one. The staff is friendly, they're prices more reasonable than I expected and the store is always clean. I really have to give credit to the electronics department. Although small, I've managed to find things there that I couldn't find at dedicated electronics retailers. That surprised me. My only grip is they usually have only one till open and the line ups can be long. I hate standing in line anywhere. If it takes me an hour to make up my mind and stand around like a mental patient, well, that's my own damned fault. But slow tills drive me nuts. Can't have it all I guess. If I need electronics, I'll check there first rather than going on a wild goose chase elsewhere. read more

A staple in Western Canada, this drug store has it all. Electronics, food items, household items, photo department and more. It's like a supersized Walgreens, with more isles and more selection than Walgreens. I loved coming here to browse and look at all the knick knacks that they have. Do not buy any laptops here. They have a measly 15 day return policy. I bought a laptop for my son who is 8, paid 325 and was told it would be totally fine for a kid who basically uses it to skype with his grandmother. I have been going to this location for 22 years. They have a good selection of items/food/electronics/ make up ect. I have a concern regarding the Pharmacy section though. They allows "owe" me medications. Always have to go back and collect the rest they owe. Always different people working here, some very professional others, not. read more

This is my usual London Drugs, and as with most London Drugs locations, it's clean, big, well-stocked and generally a one-stop shop for practically anything you might need. Most of the times that I make the journey here, it's for their photofinishing services, which I have always been happy with. They do one-hour photo, as well as provide the facilities for printing of digital photos from USB card or CD-ROM. Additionally, I've always had great experiences with their pharmacy; the staff is knowledgeable, friendly and their policies seem to be very up-to-date. Finally, the food section at London Drugs is excellent. They stock a wide variety of ethnic foods and their Indian selection is particularly good, better than the grocery shops in the area. You can also find interesting imported cookies and candies here, including some super tasty Vietnamese 'seed pucks' and, sometimes, German marzipan balls for the rare few who, like me, are mad about marzipan. read more

We recently ordered a patio set. Upon arrival at the store, we were sent to the loading dock to pick up a very large, heavy container of furniture. Two employees were waiting for us to help us load the container. Jason actually loaned us his own personal straps to secure the carton in our truck. These two employees were so friendly and helpful. They secured the straps around the carton and made sure we would have a safe trip home. They went above and beyond superb customer service. read more

I do really appreciate London Drugs, they have a wide variety of products and awesome sales. I frequently find things significantly cheaper here than other stores. It's generally not overly busy at this location, but for whatever reason there are never enough cashiers working and there are constant line ups at the tills. The staff are friendly but sometimes seem frazzled or stressed. I use the pharmacy here too and have always had great service, but it's also always busy and there are long wait times. I suppose the store saves money by hiring less people but it's a bit annoying as a customer. Still a great store if you're not in a rush. read more

We buy our electronics there - at London Drugs computers the staff are not spotty 17year olds just trying to get commision off you, who do not have a clue what they are talking about. We do a lot of shopping at London Drugs. The prices seem to be a little better then other drugstores. There is a lot of variety in their products. They have a few excellent organic food items at very reasonable prices. Unfortunately we spend a lot of money at the pharmacy. Our experience with the pharmacy staff has been very good. We do occasionally have to wait for items which are out of stock. It can be very frustrating. This might be because this is a very busy pharmacy or the prescription is uncommon. You can order your prescription items ahead online but I wish there was an indication when they were ready so we don't have to make extra trips. Other reviewers have mentioned that the store appeared dirty. This was an older store but it has now been totally redone so it is more in line with the newer stores. Overall I think this is a very good store and I'm glad it's in our neighbourhood. read more
