We had a big challenging remodel after we moved my parents out of their 2 story home. They had lived in the house since the 1990s and it was showing the signs of age and wear. Several years after we moved into our home, our kids rooms were STILL not done. Then I met Audra at my store. She used to design model homes for Toll Brother Homes. We live in one and have seen some of the model homes so I knew she was the woman for the job. I felt at ease with Audra right away. I gave her my budget and she told me her design fee. She asked me about my kids and what they liked. A few weeks later, she showed me her ideas and broke down the budget for each room. I like how she itemized everything. I prefer everything to be upfront with no hidden charges. I immediately fell in love with the concepts she presented! There were a few choices given to me within the parameters of her design. Being a control freak, I sometimes found it difficult to trust her judgment. In the end, everything turned out to be much better than I imagined it to be. The most important thing was my kids and hubby were extremely happy with the rooms! My daughter's room is magical without being too girly, incorporating her favorite colors and things, fairies and butterflies. My son's room feels like an extension of Hawaii and the ocean, both close to his heart. The rooms were not only beautiful but functional, with ample storage space, especially for my son's lego collection and my daughter's books. The beds were full size so they would not outgrow them as teens later on. Audra said the designs could easily be tweaked as they grow older. In conclusion, I felt it was money well spent. Having just moved into a new house, we felt like we needed some decorating advice to make our new place awesome. After doing a bit of research on Yelp, we found Audra and gave her a call. After a couple of mail exchanges she came out to do an initial consult which was going to run $250. She spent some time listening to our feedback, walking through the house, and taking some measurements. We were under the impression she was going to come back with some sort of presentation that included a few ideas, maybe colors, something... instead, she came back with a document that essentially was a room by room estimate for her services. No colors, no furniture ideas, nothing. Sad to say, but it was the worst $250 we've ever spent for any sort of service. We wrote her a short e-mail expressing our disappointment and to let her know we wouldn't be moving forward with her services. In return we received a several page e-mail that basically said that we were wrong and that she was worth every penny. :) A couple of days later, she accidentally cc'd us on a mail exchange she was having with another very unhappy customer. Oops... We're writing this review not out of spite but rather in hopes that it will help her deliver better services and to help future customers clarify what they're getting for their money. read more

We recently remodeled our bathroom because our old one had lots of cracks on the tile flooring and was not really wheelchair accessible. So we found Audra to consult about remodeling. She picked out some really great material for us. I told her i needed material that was durable and that I abuse the floor by rolling around on it in an office chair all day as well as other things i needed specifically for my bathroom. She chose alot of the material for us and while keeping in mind of what i need, she also made it look very stylish and modern. Actually, that was an understatement. She made the bathroom look gorgeous. While the price for the material and consultant was high. You do get what you pay for. The material was top quality and so was the design.
