Had major slide issues and Alex had major work completed to replace parts and alignment. I had to bring back twice for alignment issues. Also rubber seals were not put on as requested which I identified to get done. My first major trip out, bolts sheered and I was stranded having to call Mobile technician at a cost of $697. I called to complain and upon return I identified and sent pictures of problem. Last I heard from Alex she was checking with technician. I have sent Texts and emails without any communication back. They say they treat you like a family. Not true in my eyes. They have lost my business and would never recommend them to all my RV buddies as well as anyone else who reads this complaint. Auer's RV is my go to place for maintenance of my motorhome. Recently, I had a problem with my generator not starting. I called for an appointment but Joey walked me through troubleshooting on the phone that solved my problem, a wire to the fuel pump had come loose. Auer's RV is located in Georgetown, TX so for me to get my motorhome up to them for servicing and customization, I devote a full half-day, part of which is to hook up the Jeep and then bring it with me in tow so I can get back home. I have been to Auer's twice and have a 3rd appointment currently scheduled, so that in itself should mean something. My first visit to Auer's was when I first bought my motorhome from an out-of-state retailer. I called around to various repair facilities to try to get my new coach's punch-list addressed and, as usual, faced waiting months to just get the RV looked at, and then month's of wait-time to actually get it back. Auer's was able to get me in within weeks and had my motorhome back to me about 10 day's later. The results of my first visit were OK but there were some good and bad: For the bad, I probably could have rated it a C+ as some of my list of items were missed from being addressed. Other items I resigned myself to just correcting them myself. They were mainly sealing up a visible gap in the slide-out and addressing a leak in the shower. The prior one, Mike Auer gave me a soft rubber seal that I customized and used adhesive to seal up the gap. The latter issue, Mike indicated that in order to fix it, they probably would have to pull the shower liner out and re-glue it to the coach wall. I resolved this myself by injecting an industrial-strength adhesive behind the loose part of the shower liner via a flex tube and then applying a couple tension rods (like one you'd hang a curtain from) until the glue set. Then I resealed the bottom with caulk. The final issue missed entirely was the addition of an external solar port to plug in a portable solar panel. For the good, Mike Auer's team did a very professional job adding solar panels and a second solar controller. I consider solar as Auer's RV forte. They also were able to accomplish the balance of the list. And they returned my motorhome in about 10 days which is epic compared to other RV repair facilities. Mike indicated that he aims for a quick turn-around for smaller jobs and when I expressed my critique of his business to him in a letter designed with suggestions for improvement, instead of being defensive he instead agreed with me. My second visit, they knocked it out of the park. I brought the motorhome in for the missed solar plug from the first visit. I also added 2 more solar panels and an exterior shower. Again, they got me in within weeks and I had my motorhome back about a week later and a few day's earlier which allowed my wife and me to take the motorhome out for a beautiful July 4th weekend in Fredericksburg. I was incredibly pleased. Mike took time to come over and we chatted about the night & day difference and he said that he made a few changes to make sure that the prior experience was not repeated. Then, unexpectedly, he asked if I would join him and the crew to a BBQ. Apparently Mike BBQs for the team once per month on site. Nice! I had to decline as I had just eaten, but it was really nice of him to offer. During our 4th of July weekend, it rained on us and we discovered a leak in the roof, probably around the AC seal, so we placed a couple pans on the floor to catch the leaks and I took photos for the retailer as we're still under warranty. I then emailed photos to Auer's RV in the early evening and I was surprised to get a reply back from their new front-desk person Alex (who I might add is extremely polite and very professional). Alex wanted to make sure that they were not the cause (they weren't), and then set me up with an appointment. So again, superior customer care with a short appointment wait time. I can't be more pleased. I almost hate recommending Auer's RV to everyone reading this because then everyone will start using them. And then I'm going to have to fight through the crowd. So like a favorite secret fishing hole, Auer's is a jewel in the industry that people not only should be aware of, but should be a warning shot to other repair facilities that the bar standard has been reset. I contacted Auer's RV Service Center about getting a MaxxAir Fan installed in the bathroom of our RV and to also secure the LP quick connect for our grill that had come loose on our last outing. Alex showed me a couple of fan options, provided a quote which I accepted, and set me up with an appointment in two weeks. I dropped the RV off in the morning of my appointment and I received a text from Alex mid-afternoon that it was ready for pickup. This is my first camper and my first experience with this repair shop. I bought a 78 airstream and brought it in to auers to check it out and give me an estimate on what it needed to be road worthy, Colorado weather ready, or if it could be done within the budget I set. They did many things and while I'm sure most are ok there were so many items not addressed or done poorly. Shortly after I got it back the first time I returned it for them to redo a few items that weren't functioning correctly and a few items I thought should have been addressed the first time. Upon receiving it back the second time I found so many other issues. The lack of attention to detail is my biggest complaint. Some of the items include a water pump not screwed in to the floor, a random plug/gas fitting sitting in the outside water heater door, water line ran between a grouping of wires which will lead to fraying of the wires under it, a frayed electrical line from the junction box to the breaker box. The last one electrocuted me with a pretty good shock. It is the power for the whole camper. The plywood they used in some of the flooring was cracked and weak and I had to replace it myself. They did refund me for this but it should have never been used to begin with. Many items they should have included in the original quote were not addressed and many items they did were lacking. I'm so disappointed as they have such great reviews and a few of my clients use them as well. My airstream has been there twice now but I don't see myself using them again. I have sent an email to the owner and front desk. My email to the owner was rejected and the response from the front desk girl was that my airstream has lots of issues and it will only get worse. That's a big change from an email she sent in July stating that it was in pretty good shape considering it's age. I'm sad angry disappointed and mad. I hoped so much that I had an honest reliable place that would do me right. read more

I brought my travel trailer in for them to replace the slide motor. I thought their price was pretty high and considered doing it myself, but the job involved removing some trim at the top of the slide that I thought would be better for a professional to handle, so I dropped it off at Auer's. They called when it was finished, so I came to pick it up and paid. Before driving off I decided to check to make sure that it was working properly. Upon walking into the trailer I noticed that there was a large crack in the wood trim on the slide. Upon further inspection I could see that they had tried to glue it back together and then used some stain or paint to attempt to match the trim color. Obviously, they tried to fix it but, 1. they didn't tell me; 2. their repair didn't look good; and 3. they didn't tell me! They actually tried to cover up their mistake and not tell the customer! I immediately went in to talk to the manager. He came out to look at the damage and agreed that it looked like they had tried to fix it but that it didn't look good. He said that he would look to see if there was matching trim that he could order, but since the trailer was 5 years old he wasn't sure he'd be able to find the exact trim. If that were the case he said he'd find another way to make it right. Two months later I hadn't heard back so I called and left a message. Still no response and they won't return my phone calls. I know it's hard to find good RV service in the Austin area, but I strongly recommend looking elsewhere. read more

Auers is great to work with. They still work on pop up campers, which was hard to find. They were fast, friendly, honest and fair. They let me know that I didn't need to replace a winch, and recommended small and simple things to insure better upkeep, which saved us a lot of money. Roof repair: Day one started out hitting a low roof knocking off ac etc. Patched up the hole and back on the the road same day. Very accommodating. Returned after a month and sure enough all work was completed as promised in less than 10 days. Good communication with Dion and our insurance company. As a suggestion; customers should always inspect repairs and operations before leaving. We were very happy with all the repairs. read more

We paid over $2000 for repairs to the refrigerator in our RV. Still, months later the fridge does not get below 45 degrees, spoiling food, and keeping it right in the temperature danger zone. All I want is for them to finish the job but nobody is returning my calls. It would have been better if we got a new fridge at this point. I will never use them again and strongly urge caution when working with them. Very disappointing that they took our money and ran. read more

What an amazing experience we had with Michael Auer's RV. After two days of not understanding why only half our power was working, neither of the AC units were working, and nothing within our rig saying "I'm broken", we called Michael. He walked us through a few "self-assessments" to ensure we hadn't just missed something small and when we confirmed, he was out within 24 hours to take a look. Not only was he on-time, he was extremely courteous and quick to identify the root issue. When he found that it was nothing to do with our rig, but rather the power hook-up provided by the campsite, he reached out to them immediately and told them what our issue was. The more amazing part was that he felt bad that the issue had nothing to do with our rig so he didn't even charge us. If you are ever in the Austin/Georgetown area and in need of a mobile RV tech, he's your guy. Seriously, look no further. He has many years of experience and is a genuine person. Highly recommend Auer's RV .Had 2 A/C units replaced last summer. Come to find out did not have heat. I called Alex She had me bring it in they figured out it did not get the right units put in. Without hesitation they ordered the right units. And replaced then. This was around $3000.00 I paid nothing. They took care of it just like a good Business should. They will be my Rv repair shop. This was our 4th time taking our RV to Auer's for repair and there is a reason for that. These folks are always responsive, pricing is competitive and results are excellent. This time, we thought we had a big problem, as we couldn't get water into our faucets. Commode yes, faucets, no. When we pulled in this time we met Joey Lawrence, one of the nicest, knowledgeable people we have ever met. He wanted to "check some things out before we dropped it off" and sure enough, we just needed to clean the filters in the faucets which had blocked up due to hard water deposits. We felt really embarrassed as this is our 4th motorhome and we should have known better, but we have an excuse. We are OLD! Joey was very animated and informative about how to fix it without charging us or making us feel like we didn't know what we were doing. He had a good excuse to make a little money off of us and he took the honest route, laughing it off and sending us on our way. WE are so appreciative and will certainly be back, most likely with something that will give them a paycheck! read more

Wow! What a great experience! We wanted enough solar for our RV to run a little AC and do the necessary things of living while boondocking or moochdocking. We looked at a load of solar places, but chose Auers because they were so knowledgeable (everyone on their staff seem to know a lot about RV's and RVing). We rolled in on a Monday morning and rolled out on Friday afternoon with exactly what we wanted and exactly what was scheduled. They also gave us an hour and a half walk through of all the systems.
