When we hadn't heard from them for a few weeks, I began leaving phone messages and taping notes to their door - it was embarrassing. On one occasion, I caught the owner in the showroom, bul no commitment date, Mike said "we'll give you a call soon." After waiting a few more weeks, my husband left msgs on three different numbers, no return call. I again called in November, speaking with the other M. I explained our situation; he had no knowledge of our "small" job, but did say that they had just gotten a big job which they were currently working on. He said that maybe they could "squeeze" us in during Thanksgiving week. This did not work for us. In the middle of December, Owner M called to say that he could "probably squeeze" us in during Christmas week and would let us know, nothing definite. Finally, M called the week before Christmas, saying that they would do the job on December 21st 2018, 3 days before Christmas. We accepted, knowing that the timing could not have been worse but wanted the job done. It will be a very cold day in hell before I use Bartel again. Beware of having a small job!

I wanted inset drawers and doors, and that is an art, do I didn't go with the lowest cost options from the Valley. The photos on their website look so elegant, I thought it was unlikely I could afford them, but when their bid came in it was substantially below the competition. My contractor mostly works with another cabinet-maker who was impressive but cost prohibitive. The designer worked hard on squeezing everything into a small space. Not only did we request a custom kitchen design based on our architect and designers designs, we also needed custom cabinetry in our bathroom as well. We came across Belco Cabinets via our general contractor and boy are we glad we did. From the very first meeting we were treated with professionalism and respect. We know that we were not their biggest customer, nor did we spend more money than any other customer but they made us feel like we did. This is not a online clearinghouse, nor mass produced Chinese cabinetry. This is precise design and every time I called with a question about design, measurements, hardware, symmetry, paint colors, paint sheen, cabinet lighting, sliding drawers, specially cabinet design, heck even things in the kitchen that didn't have anything to do with cabinets but the kitchen in general; they answered the phone and greeted me by name.
