Worst pharmacy in town, in my opinion. My mom was getting…read moreher prescriptions from here. I asked that I be able to pick up her meds, rather than wait around all day for a delivery. When I did go pick up her meds, the staff were unfriendly and seemed annoyed that I'd come to get the meds rather than have them delivered. 2 months ago, they sent her a text that they had planned to deliver her meds that day (not sure why they ignored my request to pick them up) but had only discovered that day that she needed refills, so her delivery would be delayed for 5 days. No apology, no offer of emergency meds to cover her, I guess she was just supposed to keep her blood pressure down with the power of her mind. Last month, again they ignored my request to not have her meds delivered and sent her a text that the delivery was on its way. No one showed up. She called the next day to ask where her meds were and they said they would be delivered the following week. Again, no apology, no emergency meds. I'd had enough and went to another pharmacy to transfer her prescriptions. The new pharmacy called me and said that Akron Health Mart Pharmacy had actually refused to allow the transfer until I called to tell them why. So, I did. She's now with the new pharmacy and we are so glad to be done with these folks. Please, save yourself the headache and go anywhere else.

Friday early evening, I had a Davies pharmacist, Zach, call me to let me know he received a new…read moreprescription from my doctor and sent the info over that my insurance company would need for a preauth. He mentioned a discount card program that could help me get a better price. He told me what website to go through and walked me step by step through the process. Got my medication discounted. It was extremely beneficial to me. The next day I went to pick it up. Very pleasant experience. I was greeted and assisted. Zach actually took me to a private area to assist me I all the info necessary in administering my medication. He took his time, answering all my questions and gave me a step by step presentation. I've never ever had this type of pharmacist go out of their way for me like that. It's been unbelievable. I left there feeling like the only customer Zach had. Exceptional service. Exceptional experience and I will tell everyone I know that pharmacies like those back in the day, do still exist. I transferred my prescriptions from the big box stores to Davies. So glad I did. Most recently, needed a pill splitter and knew they'd have a good one. Not only did the staffer select one based on the size and type of pill, he checked with the pharmacist because he thought the medication came in the smaller size (no need to split). It is. Might seem a small thing, but I'm disabled, so any extra steps to do things are hard. Also, the front counter clerk was dressed for Halloween and looked fabulous. So nice to come into the store sad about health problems, and encounter two people who are so dedicated, helpful, and authentic.
