Our results were a shower that was left very close to the way it was found , empty trash cans all missing bags, a trash bag with food moved from the kitchen to an indoor pail in the garage, dirty light switches with fingerprints, shelves that weren't dusted or even touched for that matter, trim that was not touched, and the excuse that there wasn't enough time to finish what was quoted.. The cherry on top was watching them pour a bucket of dirty chemical water on top of our Day Lillies in our front landscape beds!! Extremely unprofessional! If a prior consultation/onsite assessment is not performed, wouldn't it make sense to assess upon arrival, and to inform your customer if you will not be able to complete what was previously agreed upon? Then the customer could advise on the most important areas to focus on. This company's approach was to forego communication, and rush to get as much done as possible in the quoted time. We came home to a house that was partially cleaned, with the most important aspect of the service (the deep shower cleaning) not done at all. And we made it clear that a deep shower cleaning was needed when booking the appointment! An insulting $50 refund was offered on a service that cost nearly $500, while less than 50% of the work was completed.. And we were given the option to pay MORE for them to return to complete what should have been done in the first place.

But there was a problem from the beginning! The truck-based cleaning system broke down in my driveway, actually it was the onboard generator that runs the cleaning equipement. Walter, the cleaning technician was stranded here waiting for a new truck to be delivered. We chatted for some time, nice guy! The replacement truck was delivered by the owner of the company, Adam. He apologized to me for the inconvenience and shook my hand. I watched Walter work now and then, he cleaned, used neutralizer and smelled the loveseat cushions over and over. He did the cushion cleaning outside on a ground cloth! I waited 4 days to write this review; I wanted to make sure the Pee Smell was gone in both cases. This company presented a professional approach to me, I booked the same day, Adam did the estimate. I got a discount too for a same day booking. I canceled my next estimate. Verry Happy, Andy Rutter

We called Curtis and his team to come in and restore our finished basement after a massive flood…read more We had used them several months prior for mold remediation and flood cuts, and after having a good experience, they were top of mind for us. He made an appointment quickly with us to come and give a quote, and we were sold after hearing the options he could provide to waterproof our basement so that we wouldn't have such extensive damage if flooding ever happened again. We chose to install the flood resistant cement board for the walls and vinyl flooring, and giving us peace of mind. His team and job supervisor, Victor, went above and beyond for this job. They were always timely, professional, and offered helpful suggestions along the way. We are so happy with how our basement turned out! We also used them to have our couch professionally cleaned and for insulation work in our attic. We've already seen a big difference in how the heat is retained in our home. Any question we had or anything we've needed help with, they've been there right away. We can't say enough good things about them and would use them again in a heartbeat!

Every interaction me or my husband had with them made us feel beyond happy we were working with them. We have 4 dogs, so our items required pre-treatment. They came on time and finished the job, thoroughly, in about an hour. We were beyond thankful for them. Prior to calling them we used pre-treatments, baking soda mixes, carpet cleaners, spot treatments, and even rented a rug doctor to no avail. We left the ceiling fan on and the room was dry by the evening time. We live in Hamden so they were super convenient for the area. We will absolutely be calling them again with any carpet or upholstery needs and we couldn't recommend them more.

Once I explained my circumstances, he adjusted to accommodate my needs and rendered services the following day. The apartment had dogs, and carpets were stained, and you could smell their presence. I was considering replacing the carpet, but Maurice informed me of the pet care they provided. I'm glad I took this route instead of replacing it, and the treatment removed the sent stains, and the carpet looked amazing. I highly recommend Whirl Wind and will be using them going forward. Thank you for your attention to detail, responsiveness, and excellent service at a reasonable cost.

Absolutely one of the worst companies there is. First, it's very important note that I was a…read morerestoration project manager for over a decade working for some of the largest restoration companies in the state of Connecticut. I've seen it all and I've heard it all. We only used this company because when we had a claim, we allowed the insurance company, State farm to choose the mitigation company as I didn't want any accusations of bias or unethical anything since, as I said, I was in the Insurance restoration business for over a decade. This company came out, the team lead they sent was as lazy as you could be, literally was standing in the water(which was sewage) then decided to sit on our brand new white couch. He talked to my wife about firearms and how he carries a firearm, then the next day as they were cleaning out our basement they came across a box that had a fake gun in it, a gun we use for a smokeless shooting range. He decided to freak out and no coincidence at 3:30 the whole entire team took off left everything unsecured, left our gate wide open and our doors wide open. Then the excuse they gave was that they didn't like how they were talked to. We had simply went down and asked them to take a beat for a minute because they were just thrown everything in the dumpster with zero accountability for it all so obviously we were a little nervous that insurance wasn't gonna cover it since they weren't documenting properly. Even things that we said don't throw away we noticed we're getting thrown in the dumpster so of course we were gonna stop them for a minute, again we know how the industry works. They damaged our fridge, we had to contact the owner of their company to get a replacement. It took probably three weeks of back-and-forth to finally get a fridge replaced that was essentially brand new. No shocker when it came to the contents portion of our claim they couldn't provide a full, comprehensive list of all items thrown out, saved or cleaned. Even our adjusted had a nightmare of a time trying to get photos from them or a proper list, we still haven't to this day. When it came to get our contents back, that was a nightmare in and of itself, the couch came back damaged. The owner of the company wanted to make accusations and not cover it. We finally just gave up it wasn't worth going back-and-forth, with her knowing her personality and how she is this company charged our insurance over $17,000 for the mitigation job and content manipulation. They were here for maybe a total of three days and stored our stuff for about three months. Their mitigation manager didn't do his job properly. They never came out to check the hours on the machine, run the numbers daily as you're supposed to do with mitigation instead, he would call me everyday and have me go down into my basement to use my moisture meter to check the numbers and check his machines for the hours and send him pictures. I have the pictures back it all up too, yet they charged the insurance company for supervision and the mitigation, despite the fact that he was calling me every day to check his equipment this is something any good mitigation company should be doing daily. Getting back to the contents when they finally brought them back, we were going through boxes and they'd have huge boxes with two items in it or boxes with stuff just thrown in it See The pictures I've attached to this review. This company is absolute hacks and I wouldn't recommend them to anybody. They could have a fire extinguisher while my house is burning down and I would let the house burn down before I let them use the fire extinguisher to put the fire out. When I say DONT use this company, I mean it RUN from them. I've been in the construction industry for over twenty years, this companies lacks integrity, professionalism and proper leadership.
