First of all the building almost radiates positivity, and as soon as you step in the door you can tell you are welcomed. The staff were absolutely wonderful, everything about their presence just made the experience multiple times better. Then you notice the scent like nothing else, it smelled like the waffles were getting cooked in your own kitchen. Super cute spot!!! With the summer weather we got to sit outside and the garden area is great for that. Was nice that they have designated dog spots so was cute to see pups around. There was live music also which is a great vibe. Of course the waffle options are so creative! I went for a blueberry one and was NOT disappointed. What a wonderful breakfast in such a fun and quirky environment! It is a barn! A barn filled with fun sayings and memorabilia, but it is a BARN! The menu is small and mighty, with savory and sweet waffles. I had the potato waffle and loved the crisp bacon and greens on it. My companion had a sweet waffle with maple syrup--both delicious and filling. The service was outstanding. I cannot wait to go back. The kicker? Thirty dollars for all of that, with coffee. It was $72 for 4 waffles 3 ice coffees and 2 pieces of bacon in the middle of the woods. The bathroom door does not lock. The tables were messy and the drinks did not come with lids. The table was not meant to hold drinks that have no lid so the spill easily. And an ice water was not free. The only reason they deserve more than 1 star was because the food was good. read more

When I first saw the seating area from the entry lobby, it looked a bit claustrophobic, but the tables were further apart than it looked from that angle. Oddly enough, this was the second restaurant in a row we went to that had you order and pay at the front counter, and then sit at the table until they bring your food to you. So even though we had to wait a few minutes for our table, in a way it probably didn't slow the order down much since they had it even as we were being seated. I ordered the Tuscan polenta waffle, which came topped with mushrooms, dried tomatoes, a few spinach leaves and a smattering of shredded cheese. There was some garlic sauce on the plate which tasted good, though I confess I didn't really taste the garlic much. But to be fair, we are pretty generous with garlic when we cook at home. I think I should have gone with a regular style waffle, as the denser corn bread polenta style was a bit too much waffle for me. Our vegan friend also ordered the Tuscan offering and was convinced there were bacon bits in it. I assured her the description said nothing about it and that mine was all veggies, but it got into her head and she ended up eating very little of it anyway. The coffee was good, though I wasn't enthralled with their choice of sweeteners. My wife loved her banana infused waffle and it seems likely we will return at some point. A sign said they have outdoor seating, but it was way too chilly that day! I didn't bring my phone inside and couldn't take my usual pictures, so you will have to imagine the ambience of walls covered with blackboards containing humor and cute sayings all around the tables. read more
