I wanted to purchase one but I doubted that my grandson would grasp their uniqueness. The store had lots of merchandise to go through with great options for both girls and boys. They had some nice games, learning toys, trucks and art supplies but I eventually ended up buying candy. It was packaged adorably and easy to pack.

It's right near where we live, but we haven't been out down the turnpike road in a couple of weeks so we had not seen it. I must say I was very impressed. They have a nice selection of sweets available for purchase and ice cream and milkshakes too. The best part is they have tables inside so you can relax and enjoy your ice cream, which is brilliant. The prices were very reasonable and the staff were friendly and fast. Looks like we might have to make walking home this way a more routine thing this summer sure!

If you're looking for that, this is a good stop. I was a little disappointed that they didn't have some of the local fossils, some of which were abundant in the paving stones at the Cliffs of Moher park. In fact, we stopped to buy those--but they are probably not of interest to the types of tourist that this shop is geared towards. I did find a dark chocolate whiskey candy bar here, which I enjoyed. They do have a little coffee shop with desserts and pastries...a bit incongruous with the concept of a rock and gem shop.

Hazel Chocolate Mountain Burren Chocolatier is a lovely little shop and I believe there's a little cafe on site as well though we didn't stop in there. The chocolate shop serves up delicious and beautiful chocolates in a variety of ways. When we were in, we were happy to explore the shop as well as hear a bit about the business and their approach to chocolate from one of their lovely workers. We took home some pretty truffles for gifts as well as Irish whiskey truffles for ourselves (a delight!). Definitely worth the stop.
