(the exam from the doctors office was covered by insurance) ... please note... The Exam Only. Right away (even the Doctor) was more interested in getting me fitted with hearing aids than diagnosing the damage. This was my first "clue" but there is nothing that can be done when you are at the mercy of a Doctors' diagnosis. I had lost my hearing, and I was easy prey. Next, I went downstairs to have another hearing test done, and that was where the scam started revealing itself. But again. when a person is at a disadvantage there is nothing you can do - after the fact. Insurance does not cover hearing aids no matter how you lost your hearing unless you are willing to forgo years without aids and shell out thousands of dollars until your case is cleared. The cost is on you so please do your research! I was treated by a very young audiologist (wish I could give you her name!) and I am not an elderly person. She spoke to me in a very disrespectful (demeaning) way which by itself made me irritated, but she seemed to be robotic in her nature. Never made direct eye contact with me, and never addressed me as an individual...etd..etc. She spoke more about her upcoming wedding than tuning the hearing aids! After much inquiry about the different models displayed she insisted on Starkey Hearing Aids as the "very best on the market" blah, blah...well... what do I know? I didn't have a clue as to which devices were better than the others I couldn't hear and I needed help! I purchased the Starkey Z series ($5,475.00) which came with a Sure Link unit ($500.00 extra) to be able to hear phone calls and television thru it. She was so excited to sell me these "new technologies".. uh hunh. I see, you get a commission from Starkey, as I would assume you would get from any other models displayed in your office, but STARKEY must pay you higher. Here is the result and reason for my complaint - I have had to replace the first unit for a manufacturing issue, and now the "replacement" has failed, and you guessed it, the warranty is up. That's right... $700.00 to replace the 2nd unit for faulty manufacturing. When I spoke to this (same woman) audiologist at (advanced Hearing Centers) she announced in the waiting room in front of waiting clients... "You are the only person with this problem" WOW! ... sure I am. I have checked with Consumer Affairs and seen numerous complaints about Starkey so no - I'm not buying your BS for a second time! How utterly disrespectful she was and had been, throughout the process of adjustments which has taken a FULL YEAR of monthly visits to "get it right". I wish I had someone like myself warning me about the practices at this place... I would have found somewhere else to go. So, Buyer Beware! Starkey will NOT support you as customer - like Advanced Hearing Centers they are only interested in milking you for money.

The one star is for Lisa, she works at the front desk very nice lady. Tammie isn't nice at all! My first day with Tammie was the worst audiologist I have ever dealt with in my entire life. I had a few audiologist since I was a kid. Tammie is RUDE! not only she is rude, she is very impatient, fidgety, nervous energy, again no patience whatsoever. Let me explain why. My first day there I got bad vibes from Tammie immediately. She rushed me the entire time I was there on my first day. While in the booth to take my hearing test it went okay, until she laughed at how bad my hearing is. She said wow your hearing is bad and you failed the word test terribly-saying this all while laughing thinking it is funny. Not only she thinks me failing was funny. She was talking to me with her mask on. I had to tell her that I read lips duh. She can see herself and said herself that my hearing is terrible than proceed to wear a mask talking to me. She also had a habit of turning her back and trying to hold a conversation, that is why I called her RUDE. She gets very fidgety and nervous around me, during our conversation about new hearing aids. she just rushed me through everything. I could never ask her questions without her looking annoyed or giving me funny weird looks. The weirdest thing she didnt have no customers waiting. I never understood why she was always in a rush. I got some old old school hearing aids, so I was upgrading to newer model hearing aids, of course im going to have questions about them. I have no clue how to work these things, especially using an app. She just rushed me through everything and refuse to tell me how to work certain functions.. My review is very long because I realized i was being ABUSED by Tammie Washington Bowie! When it was time to do the ear molding.. she pushed a needle like instrument in my ear, like literraly pushed it in my ear extremly hard. I was wincing and moving in pain the entire time. I have never ever had an audiologist use a sharp object in my ear doing molding. I really believe she used this to hurt my ear on purpose, then when I asked for q tip because it made my ear hurt and itch badly she looked at me like I was crazy. This fake audiolgist is the worst! I got my hearing aids a few days later and came back she was still up to her fidgety, nervous acting, crazy energy and rushing me out when I got my hearing aid. Again, at my appointment I am always the only one there. I dont understand the rush and cant answer my questions. When she attemp to show me how to download hearing aid app, she snatches my phone out of my hand and start controlling my phone while ranting that i have too many stuff up on my phone.. I ended up reporting Tammie to Lisa which that didn't solve anything, she is just the front desk. I ended up telling Tammie how I felt, she appologized and said she will do better. I had some problems with my new upgraded hearing aids I don't know how to work them properly. Tammie told me to come back and she will explain everything. I go back and it the same ole thing, and same ole weird behavior. And we had to back in forth about her trying to talk to me with her mask on. I am always masked up when I go, and you would think these "audiologist" would wear Clear Mask. duh?! to make things easier nope they don't. I got tired of not knowing how to operate my new upgrade hearing aids that I took them back and went to another Audiologist. My new Audiologist in Kennessaw is wayyyyyyy better. Tammie abused me so bad, that I thought It was me or something. Nope, it obvious Tammie! My new audiologist talked to me with her mask down, explained everything to me about new upgrade hearing aids, how to work them on my phone, she even played loud noise in the background to see if I can still hear her with loud noise.. I mean she was the best and very accomodating. It made our meeting very smooth and fast. I asked my questions and she answered them no problems, and she actually had another customer waiting on her.. she didnt rush me not one time and answered all my questions. Tammie is a terrible abusive "audiologist" something needs to be done about her behavior. Im quite sure she is abusing other people because their office stay empty. I hope her boss or the owner reads this and reach out to me, because I want to report her to a hire up. Tammie seem like she is not mentally well at all, so she abuses people like me thinking we dont have a voice or wont say nothing.

Doctor Eric Jennings at this location was highly recommended by a friend…read more When we had our first consultation with him, Doctor Jennings explained everything very thoroughly about Cataracs surgery and he answered all our questions. We saw a video and how the surgery will be performed. He explained about the healing process and how to apply eye drops and also about the restrictions after the operation. After the consultation we met with the insurance lady who explained about the insurance process and gave us some paperwork. Each person at this office was very pleasant and professional. We were very happy about this location because it's conveniently located close to our home. When it came time for the follow up visit, after the first eye operation, we were able to get an appointment for the next day after the surgery at this location with a different doctor. That was fine too. However, after the second eye surgery, our appointment at this location was cancelled. Reason was that there was no doctor available at this office. So, we had to drive far to another Woolfson office located at a very congested area in Atlanta. Again, the staff was nice. But we do not want to go back to that location because of the construction work going on nearby. The saga continues! We were able to schedule the next follow up appointment in Canton, GA. That was nice because we saw Doctor Paven Korotana who was at the Atlanta location. She was very nice and informative. Hopefully she will be at the Canton location for the next follow up visit. Overall, we are very pleased with the quality of care that my husband has received from Woolfson Eye Institute doctors and staff. I checked three times before my appointment. After my appointment, they charged my copay and then not only did they not bill my insurance properly, but they also overcharged for services they didn't provide. Then, months later, after multiple phone calls I made trying to figure out the problem, they told me the provider I saw was not credentialed with my insurance company. Immediately after they told me this, they sent my account to collections. This is by far the worst experience I've ever had with a company who provides eye exams. One red flag I noted was the optometrist told me they'd had some "billing and insurance issues" while she was performing my exam. I've made no less than 25 phone calls trying to correct all the issues, to no avail. Please find another provider. You'll save yourself a lot of headaches.
