I had to take off work to go into the office and they said that based on my age, the prescription had to be at least that strong. Finally the tech called the doctor in who agreed to adjust the prescription. When I went to another eye doctor, he asked me had I really been wearing those bifocals, because based on my actual prescription they were much too strong. No wonder my eyes had been hurting.
