They checked me in and took my co-pay of $35. Shortly after I sat down they told me that they were very behind due to multiple call off's and would have to take me over to Dr. Patel's office as he takes the urgent care "over flow" to help them out. When I was walked over to Dr. Patel's office, the receptionist asked me for a co-pay. I said "I already paid at the Urgent Care". Now, a month later, I received an EOB from my insurance company that I was billed as a new patient of Dr. Patel's and have a $95 balance for being seen. I called the billing at Aurora and told them that I was NOT a new patient of his and that my appointment was with the Urgent Care, not him and that I have my own doctor and never plan to see him again. As far as I am concerned, my insurance was fraudulently billed. They told me no, that because I agreed to see Dr. Patel I was obligated to pay what his fees were. The Urgent Care took my appointment, took my co-pay, mislead me into thinking I was going to a different Dr. as "over flow" and now I am stuck with paying $60 more. If they are not trustworthy enough to be open and honest about the situation, I really don't trust them to take care of me. Is this a scam to get the Doctor's in the same building new patients? Seems like it to me.

I've had one knee replacement & was bone on bone in the other knee & my leg was so badly deformed from a collapsed knee, I was in constant pain. I couldn't put weight on that leg & could hardly walk. My knee would buckle on me constantly. I felt like I was facing a future in a wheelchair. The program consisted of 3 platelet rich plasma knee injections, using your own blood & an umbilical cord stem cell injection to help regrow your knee cartiledge. They used a heel wedge in my shoe to shift the bones & straighten my leg. Well a little over a month out, I have to say I am super impressed with the results so far & it could still take up to a year for the cartiledge to completely regenerate. My leg is significantly straighter & I have so much less pain. Almost pain free at times. So much better than my surgically fixed knee that still hurts. I'm walking faster, able to start putting weight on it climbing stairs & able to work out with ankle weights on. Something I haven't been able to do in years! In just over a month!!! One P.A. touched my infected wound and then used his phone with the same gloved hand. Perhaps this explains why I had to return to the hospital with a cellulitis infection for another three-day stay. First I was told I would be required to bring the Written order from my doctor. Then they told me I needed to bring the results of my last mammogram. I told them I did not have them. It's been over 10 years and I couldn't remember where it was done. So they told me they couldn't schedule a mammogram without it. Well you know what ? I've lived this long without a mammogram ! I am a paying customer and if you don't want or need my business that's fine. My doctor sent same exact order to Bright Light Medical Imaging... and guess what... THEY CALLED ME! And as easy as can be I have an appointment with NO ISSUE!
