I cannot believe no ratings yet!…read more Well. Been seasonal here for 3 years and coming here for close to ten! We cannot day enough great about this place! Lots to do for kids! Pool, activities, Yogi Bear tucking them in!! Nice new VIP spots complete with huge fire pits! Bring the marshmallows! Close to Greenwood for all the amenities! Give it a try!

Last year I finally got my dream camper and we moved in and it was a great year,I joined the seasonal committee and i worked in the canteen and was very happy to come back this season but told myself i wasn't going to work there this season and was really going to sit back and enjoy my time. That all quickly changed, with new management came change to the campground which we all expect but not to this degree, workers were treated badly basically from day one, activities were cancelled or not put on at all with no notice, people were being yelled at. No longer enjoyed the canteen as the food quality was no longer good and prices jacked up. (and remember i worked their last season so i am aware of the difference in quality this season). My daughter left a great job with a scholarship to come back and was told she would have a increase in pay and manage the general store, which never happened instead she was talked bad about behind her back and to her face from the general manager and after trying to have meetings and it going nowhere, we told her to walk away from the job. My son was yelled at by the managers husband where they could have had a conversation, i do not believe in yelling at children especially from the managers husband (and management was with him at the time) when i went down to speak to them i was told they have had a number of issues with my son which i believe not to be true as they have never came to me with any prior complaints. They used to have an amazing landscaper and this year they did not return i do not know the reasons behind that but instead of replacing that person and put up fake plants around the campground which look tacky. This once happy place turned into a place I dreaded being at, thankfully i have made amazing friends at the campground who I've made amazing memories with and because of all these problems within the campground we won't all be together next season as a lot of us are moving to another campground. I hope that changes are made and that Yogi can be a happy place again and be what it once was. I would not recommend this campground.

Al is a remarkable man, one of those rare individuals who has many talents and he uses them in the management and running of this inn. He has made furniture that you will see in it and he has designed and built much of the inn itself. He is a chef and cooks the breakfasts for the guests. He is a wealth of information to help you enjoy the area. We highly recommend staying at the Olde Lantern Inn. The area where the inn is located is great to explore too. Wolfville nearby is home to a university so there is a very youthful and energetic feeling about the area. Grand Pre is of historic value being the historic site connected with the Acadian saga. We hiked to Cape Split on our last trip here, which is a 5 mile trip to a point overlooking the ocean where you can hear the tide as it roars in. Be prepared for the 5 mile return trip though and bring plenty of drinking water with you. Olde Lantern Inn sits next door to a vineyard and a great restaurant also so you will be treated very well by Al and those who work together to make your stay a delight.

The room was a…read morelarge king bed room overlooking the water -- three large windows provided the viviews, and in addition there was a small private wood deck right outside the room also with a glorious sea view. The room was spotlessly clean, the bathroom was large with a very nice step-in shower (no tub), and there was also a roomy closet. The bed proved comfortable, and the AC worked fine. Technology got in the way with the TV, however. We couldn't figure how to operate it, and asked the staff to help. It took them a while to get it right, but then the next evening we encountered the same problem and got the same help. Too much technology, in our opinion. The suites are entered from the street and up a flight of steps - no elevators. Hauling bags can be challenging. The front desk is in the next door restaurant, a little confusing at first. Parking is free in a small lot across the street, though spaces are limited. There are a couple of restaurants, all part of the same group, located in the building. (We review them separately.) One gripe: one of the restaurants has an outside speaker spewing a sort of loud disco 80s beat music and we could feel the thump-thump in our room from around 3 until it quit at 11pm. We asked about having it stopped and got no results. A minor issue but an annoying one that keeps us from giving this hotel five stars. The staff proved friendly and helpful. The suites are quite a bargain given their size and the views, a little under $200 per night in US dollars. Digby is a nice little town on the Bay of Funky famous for its fresh scallops, and we can't imagine there's a better place to stay if you're visiting here.

It was definitely a highlight of our entire trip to Nova Scotia and provided a truly memorable experience. Wake up and see the Bay of Fundy, sit outside on the patio and watch the scallop boats, walk to any of the nearby restaurants, and hear live music from the boardwalk. It was more than great.
