It was an easy back in and we leveled up quick and this is a very private site only because it's at the end of the row and you're looking out over the water. It's very quiet here which we really liked and our side is also not far from the laundry And bathrooms, but not too close that's annoying. We found the Wi-Fi was excellent and we really didn't have any problems with it at all. The staff in the office were great and told us exactly where our site was and gave us a map. From our site you can be walking straight out onto The view of Fundy and it is stunning. There are paths that take you to Hopewell that take an hour to walk or you can just do the quick jaunt around the local ponds on a walk. Hopewell is less than 10 minutes by car. I highly recommend this place. It's not expensive. It's a simple campground with a small pool, but it's very quiet and close to local towns.

The campground roads are gravel, packed dirt and campsites are either gravel or grass. Some sites are shaded while most are open. Campground has their own small lake for fishing or boating for kayaking or canoeing. RV sites are full hook up (W/S/E), tent sites are dry camping. We arrived during "low season" and we given a site overlooking the marsh and Chocolate River. We asked if it was a back in or pull in, woman at desk admitted she was new and didn't know. We were not offered an escort to our site. When we got there, the site was a pull-in and not to our liking. There were 9 or 10 other RVers in the immediate area, several with dogs off leash (we are dog people, but when they say, dogs on lead, we obey). We went back towards the office and saw the pull-thru sites were empty so we pulled in to one and walked to the office to see if we could take that site instead. Same price so no problem swapping. So glad we did because when we went for a walk that evening, there was all sorts of noise from the other section of the campground they wanted to put us in first (noise = loud talking + radios + barking dogs + kids playing). We only stayed 1 night as this was a halfway point on our planned travels. We wanted to see Hopewell Rocks at high & low tides and accomplished that. Restrooms are clean, 4 showers are accessed by individual doors at other end of building so anyone can use it. Laundry room in in central portion of the restroom building. They offer rustic bathrooms in the tenting area (out-houses). We stayed here in a fifth wheel and would return again if our travels brought us this way.

It's located 40-45 minutes outside of Halifax. This is a tent, trailer and RV friendly location (although I'm not sure they have any pull through sites). There are 95 spots available (combined). Open May 18 - Oct 8 Wifi is available at the main entrance and surroundings areas. Will not reach to most of the park. This park has some amazing spots. None are right on the water, but a lot of them have some wonderful ocean views! There are flush toilets and free hot showers in the main bathhouse near the entrance. Vault toilets are located throughout the remainder of the park. You can bring one vehicle to your campsite. You must pay for any additional vehicles you bring with you to your site. You can leave any spare vehicle at the main entrance for free. There are many walking trails in and around this campground. The town of Chester is a 5 minute drive away where you can get supplies. You can buy fire wood onsite. Thanks for reading. Be sure to give me a thumbs up if this was helpful!

For the daytripper, there are picnic grounds, a playground for the kiddos, walking trails, kite-flying fields and a tiny beach. Not much beats hanging out on a quilt under your beach umbrella while the kiddos bounce in the shallow waves. If you're planning a multi-day stay, the campground offers many amenities that have been upgraded in recent years. A modern wash-house offers hot showers and flush toilets - a real improvement! Campsites are generous and mostly secluded, allowing you to enjoy nature without being on top of your neighbour. Costs are reasonable, although regulations have tightened up in the last few years. Don't let that stop you, though - Graves Island truly has to be experienced to be believed.

I knew only that the nearby town Alma is known for its extreme tides. As mosquitos descended upon us, I fully expected to have a crappy time. This was not the case! Fundy is AWESOME. Between the incredible staff, the non-stop educational programs for all ages (we indulged in a fun sing-a-long campfire where hot chocolate was served, a moonlit guided kayak tour, numerous hikes and beach walks, etc) and the well-maintained trails, this is one of the most incredible parks I've ever visited. It has outshined every park I've been to in the US. It's tucked away in true wilderness, the kind of which I've never seen before, not even in Alaska. Miles and miles of open space. It was very green, and the air smelled sweet. And every sign was bilingual, which is exciting for a francophile like me! But it got even more exciting for me: In the national park gift shop, they had two books I illustrated!! I could not believe having traveled all that way and then seeing my own work in the gift shop, that was the coolest!! I have nothing but wonderful things to say about Fundy's lush waterfalls, excitable bats, cartoonish bullfrogs, abundant wildflowers, fresh air, approachable and friendly interpreters, educational programs, wonderful trails, views and serenity. I'm glad we made the trip! Thank you to all the interpreters of Fundy, especially Pat, for making our trip extraordinary!

They dictate who can do what at events, and it is very saddening. It is these people who ruin it and make it a place no one enjoys. There are 2 particular elderly ladies who are rude, arrogant and will go out of their way to make it a point to identify anyone who is not part of the seasonal crew gang or if they are a camper just trying to enjoy a weekend away. They monitor the pool, the Bingo hall....pointing out who can be where and who can swim when. It is disgusting.

No mention of paying more. But we drove all the way and decided to stay and pay We had a good time taught salsa to the other campers and enjoyed our visit. The fun we had was because of the campers and us. Not the campground. At the end We cleaned the cabin very well. More then any place I have ever stayed we put the bottles out for the kids social fund and we brought out all our garbage. I took pictures as I was pleased with how clean it was. Unfortunately the owner of the campground seems to think it's not clean enough and kept $150 deposit. I have tried to contact her and she did not respond until I put a poor review on her FB. She called me to insult me and tell me that I am this kind of person that takes enjoyment by causing trouble. This is far from the truth. Also the activities director of the campground threatened me and sent me threatening messages to my personal fb email. I have included screen shots of how I was treated. This is very upsetting. A nice weekend turned into a nightmare that I wish never happened. I am sure that I am not the first person who had this happen to them. Damage deposit is for damage not cleaning. As long as a reasonable attempt to clean was done they can't keep a deposit. I feel I was overcharged for the cabin by $80 and I should receive my damage deposit back as there was no damage. This is the first time I have ever felt the need to post a bad review about a place or service. I am doing this as I have been shocked how I was treated and I hope this will make others aware of what could happen if they go here. Be prepared

An internet search brought us to Oceanstone, which seemed like the perfect place to stay as we also wanted to check out Peggy's Cove too. We were lucky enough to secure one night and totally fell in love with the resort, pretty much at first sight. We had put in our booking comments that we were on our honeymoon, hoping we might get a really nice room. We were so pleasantly surprised to walk up to the kitchen in our super cute private cottage and find a lovely bottle of wine along with handmade, outrageously delicious sea salt caramels and a hand written note. To the resort, perhaps a small gesture but to us, it really make our stay that much more special. We really enjoyed our night's stay in our private cottage, which was just set behind the main lodge. The cottage was quaint, clean, and well appointed. We loved our small balcony just outside the living room area, we enjoyed our coffees out there in the morning. The bed was also super comfy too, like a cloud. We loved it there so much we inquired about staying a second night however sadly the resort happened to be fully booked for a wedding party the days immediately following our stay. We ended up eating at the restaurant on their property, Rhubarb, three times in just 2 days - it was so good. We enjoyed an early dinner when we first arrived, then ordered pizza as a "later" night snack then ordered take out the next day for dinner from the next cottage resort we ended up staying at just down the road. We also took a couple of lovely, calm walks along the ocean front during our stay which was so nice. The property is stunning and it feels like you are in another part of the world completely. Looking forward to someday returning again!
