Recently, I had some health issues that brought me to your hospital from April 5, 2026, through April 9, 2026, for ongoing GI concerns. To say I am impressed with the level of care I received would be an understatement. While everyone I encountered was wonderful, a few staff members truly stood out and made my stay a much more positive experience. Day CNA - Jenny F. Jenny was incredibly helpful every time I saw her. She always checked in to see what I needed and never made me wait long. Her attentiveness and kindness made a world of difference. Night CNA - Donnell A. Although I didn't initially picture him as a CNA, Donnell quickly showed how great he is at his job. Even during nighttime vitals, he was friendly, professional, and easy to communicate with. Night RN - Abbie C. Abbie was very attentive, frequently checking in and asking thoughtful questions. Even when I was tired or not in the mood for conversation, she was patient and understanding. Her compassion really stood out. Day RN - Alyssa K. Alyssa cared for me during the day on three occasions, and she left a lasting impression. Her knowledge, professionalism, and approachable nature are on another level. I felt completely safe, secure, and comfortable in her care. She was easy to talk to--not just about my health, but about life in general. If I ran a hospital, staff like Alyssa would be exactly who I'd want on my team. She truly exemplifies what exceptional patient care looks like. GI Nurse Practitioner - Katelyn Katelyn went above and beyond by checking test results after hours so she could provide updates right away in the morning. Her dedication and concern for my health were genuine and deeply appreciated. It's people like these who make Aurora Health Care stand out as a next-level provider. Do not trust the GI department. Years of being told nothing is wrong even after being unable to eat and collapsing falling unconscious and being rushed to ER. 2 weeks at Froedert and chronic illness found. read more

Dr. Kress messed up everything when she only needed to clean the gutters and replace the poly in my joint. She replaced the poly with a smaller one, which made my joint looser. The gutters are rubbing worse than before the surgery. She nicked a vein, causing a hematoma that required another surgery. She prescribed medication I can't take, and then, during the second surgery, she accidentally stuck herself with a needle. I was forced to drive two hours to see my original surgeon. Because of her failures as a surgeon, I now have to have my ankle replaced again. Because of her, I can hardly walk; the pain is so great I can't sleep, and I will lose over half a year of mobility. To top it off, on my last visit to have stitches removed, she didn't even do me the courtesy of seeing me, not even a follow-up call. read more

My mother was told to go there for left flank pain and vomiting by her PCP. sat in ED lobby writhing in pain and vomiting for 4 hours whilst other patients stared and rolled their eyes at her. nursing staff avoiding eye contact with us. After 4 hrs asked to cut her band off so we could go elsewhere. Told we should stay. No way. Went to Froedtert Mequon, roomed in 10 minutes, pain meds in 15 minutes and CT in 40 minutes. Torsion ovary, horribly painful. she suffered for 4 hrs at Aurora Grafton. Triaging there is horrible! Just unacceptable to allow a person to suffer like that. read more

This is an easy-access facility from I-43 by car, and if you carefully time it you could make it there taking the 143 bus if coming from/to downtown MKE. Good signage everywhere and helpful staff all around. There's a pharmacy to the right just as you go in and a cafeteria at the end of the hall (nothing too exciting, but if you need to grab a snack...). I was lucky to coincide with one of the therapy dogs that go there on Tuesdays and Thursdays while in the waiting area when my S.O. was having a surgical procedure. That was definitely a plus! The facilities are spotless and it's easy to find your way around. read more

Doctors such as Kate Kormanick unnecessarily call 911 about your driving (inconveniently get you pulled over by police only to be released because you didn't do anything wrong), list unprofessional aspects in your charts, and if you are a RN, Aurora staff (especially Patty Stockhausen ) will be unprofessional and call travel nurses "Travel Trash" and utilize then in the role of a CNA even though they are a Nurse Practitioner or Registered Nurse...whilst the regular staff are newly graduated nurses and should be taking the less cognitive skills roles... Overall just a big 'clique' wherein racism occurs as very few ethnicities are hired or retained. read more

As someone who has been admitted three times in very bad shape, this hospital is a top notch medical center. The medicine side seems to be excellent. I think the standards that they maintain for the medical staff - doctors, nurses, and technicians- are extremely high and uncompromising. But, I think, in general, this is true in most medical centers in the US. What differentiates Aurora Grafton is all of the peripherals. Patient rooms are single occupancy. The food is pretty edible for institutional chow. The cleanliness of the rooms and the rest of the physical plant is spot on. And, the staff, medical and non medical are very helpful and pleasant. Overall, always a pleasant and confident experience. read more

I took my husband to the ER in Grafton, Wisconsin, in June they said it would be a 3 hour wait! I told them what was wrong and they still said he'd have to wait. My husband instisted on leaving, so we did, but not before I told the two people at the window that if we have to come back it would be by ambulance! Needless to say the next day I had to call the ambulance to take him back there. I told the Parimetic's what happen the day before and they said, we will get him there now. My husband died 6 days later...Who knows maybe with that extra day he would still be alive. FIX YOUR ER PRIORITIES!!!!!!!! J.L. read more

A fancy hospital? That's right, my friends. On my clinics/hospitals world tour of 2016 (thus far) Aurora is clearly the frontrunner and clearly the standout. It shows in their facilities, their people and the care their patients receive. I am not one of those patients, however... but both Grandma and Grandpa were/are as of late. Both have had surgeries and subsequent care/treatments. + that care has been top notch. The doctors, RNs, OT staff... everyone... has been, in a word, fantastic. (Clear, comprehensive and understand, to say the least.) The facilities at this particular location are outstanding. Family lounges boast unlimited beverages and comfy couches. Everything is CLEAN to a tee. The cafeteria is SOLID. The elevators are GOLD. I don't wish for anyone to end up in a hospital ever, but if you do end up in one, this is the one to end up at, no doubt. read more

So what's the first thing you do when you go to your parent's house with kids in tow? My usual answer is put my eldest to bed, settle in with a beer, and relax. On the Eve of Christmas Eve, I thought I was going to do the above. Instead, I slid down my parent's staircase, landing firmly on my right wrist, and headed directly to the emergency room. In the past, we've used Aurora's immediate care in Cedarburg for our kids and self when visiting. It's not in network for us, but we're on file there. It's my parent's providers, so we know that we're getting quality care. On the Eve of Christmas Eve, in lots of pain, we trudge in the snow to the Medical Center. This Medical Center reminds me a lot of Northwestern's Grayslake facility where you can do appointments with specialties, have outpatient surgery, radiology, and of course ER. After getting admitted to the ER, I was taken to triage where I discussed the fall, had vitals taken, all the good stuff. With some waiting, I also had my insurance checked. After some more waiting, I was x-rayed. On the Eve of Christmas Eve, I waited quite a bit because radiology got backed up and it got busy. Four hours after getting there, they determined that I had a sprained wrist. I was sent home with a splint, told to take Motrin, and follow up with my primary physician. Despite the long wait, I received excellent care and was checked on frequently. For a busy night, they took good care of me and my painful wrist. read more

A late Monday night trip to the emergency room with my daughter was a miserable experience at Grafton Aurora. When we arrived we felt lucky to see only one person in the waiting room. This didn't matter in the slightest. We sat here waiting for over two hours with her doubled over with abdominal pain. The waiting room began to fill and no one was called back to be helped. The receptionist was friendly enough but as soon as her part was over it was back to her phone and occasionaly looking at her computer. I'm not sure anyone works here at night. It will have to be a drastic emergency to bring me back here, but then, why bother... read more

My wife had surgery on Dec. 18, to repair a fractured femur in her left leg. She has been in pain, despite attempts by the staff to reduce the discomfort, since she arrived. This evening (12/26) my daughter called to tell me a surgical PA had told her the plate that was used to secure the fracture, was, in my daughter's words "falling apart." That apparently wasn't true because the original orthopedic surgeon, Dr. Anderson, said, according to a nurse I spoke with this (12/26) evening that the leg was stable but that the weight bearing percentage had to be reduced from 50% to 25%. All of this took place without ANYONE at Grafton Hospital informing me, her husband, about her condition and/or the prognosis. Dr. Anderson, reportedly, will call me on Monday (12/27) to discuss my wife's future. In the meanwhile, I am extremely unhappy and upset with the faulty information system at the hospital and the complete lack of anyone's apparent ability to see the need to notify me. Donald A.
