My name is Jacquie Abram. I am the international best-selling and award-winning author of Hush Money: How One Woman Proved Systemic Racism in her Workplace & Kept her Job. On 10/14/22, I met with Nadia at Aurora Medical Weight Loss and discussed the available options for weight loss. At that time, Nadia explained that I had the option of receiving a single dose of LipoLean (referred to as LipoLean Injection in the clinic handout), or pay extra to receive a double dose of LipoLean (referred to as Extreme Injection in clinic handout). After deliberating, I decided to purchase the Extreme Injection (double dose) and paid a total of $294.99 for a weight loss panel, a one-month supply of Phentermine, 4 Extreme Injections, and a LipoLean Injection and every Friday afterwards, I returned to the clinic to receive my weekly injection. Because I received the injections in-house, I didn't pay attention to the ml/cc administered by the clinician. On 11/11/22, I returned to Aurora Medical Weight Loss and purchased 3 months of the single dose injections of LipoLean (as opposed to the double dose injections of Extreme that I had purchased the previous month) and paid a total of $389.97. I also decided to administer the injections at home myself, instead of doing them in-house, and was given a one-month supply of LipoLean Injections (4 needles) to take home. It was at this point, that I discovered that each needle only contains 0.5 ml/cc of LipoLean which is only 1/2 of the compounding pharmacy's dosing protocol. According to numerous compounding pharmacies including Modern Medical and VPI, the dosing protocol for a single dose of LipoLean is 1 ml/cc and the dosing protocol for a double dose of LipoLean is 2 ml/cc. Even more alarming, patients are required to pay extra to receive the Extreme injection which is supposed to be a double dose of LipoLean equal to 2 ml/cc, but they are only receiving 1 ml/cc. By only giving patients 1/2 of the Lipolean product they paid for, Aurora Medical Weight Loss is doubling their profits, stretching their product, decreasing each patient's weight loss per week, increasing the amount of time it takes each patient to lose weight, and keeping these people as paying customers for a longer period of time than they would need if they received a full dose. This is not only an unethical practice but may also be a form of medical racism. I have requested a refund of the amounts paid so that I may seek treatment elsewhere and am being ignored. I am planning to report this clinic to the Department of Regulatory Agencies and alert the media if I have not received a response by December 2nd. read more

I am very disappointed at the service that I've received from this clinic. I had the auto payment set up for injections. I tried cancelling with due time due to adverse effects that I was experiencing. I call, they never answer, I've sent emails and no answer, voicemails and no call back. I even showed up to the clinic on clinic hours and it was closed 2 hours early. Now I'm stuck with -325$$ and with medicine I don't know what to do with.... I can't relate to everyone how stressful and annoying this is. I've waited at least three weeks to write this review. Up to this date it haven't been able to cancel that auto subscription . Bought a Groupon and they convinced me to sign up for a monthly plan. I was told i had a bunch of shots on the books because i made payments during quarantine. Made a shot appointment and canceled monthly plan and then i was told I no longer have shots on the books. My 2nd time signing up with them and regretting it. I will try a different company or facility next time, even though this one is in walking distance of my house. I am in disbelief that they have 4.9 stars on the genbook reviews! read more

I actually really like this place. I come here for hormone replacement and Shanell the front desk office gal is always so nice and welcoming. I have been coming here for about a year now, so I've gotten to see enough experience that I can honestly say this office is very busy at times and they do try and process everyone a quickly as possible and the regular staff is very kind and awesome. Shanell contacts me when she says she will and always get back to me with my follow up info. With this kind of business I think it's hard to estimate when it will be busy or not, hence why they Primarily moved to the online appointments, unfortunately you still always get drop in's. Regardless I've never seen it necessary to try one of the other locations, especially since I've already developed really good relationships with Shanell and the doc's. read more

I had an appointment today, at Aurora Medical Weight Loss to get Lippo and B12 shots. Zarinah Hall was very pleasant, patient, and knowledgeable on all of the different weight loss programs offered. She took the time to thoroughly explain the options that would best benefit me. I really appreciated Zariah Hall taking the time to listen and offer sound advice. I will definitely go back. Signed up for auto withdraw of $129 mo..... 1st month fine, second and half the 3rd, debited my account 9x! Never saw a doctor or PA.... change of staff is often & have difficulty taking blood! BEWARE!! I bought a deal for a one month weight loss help with this place, and the girls were always nice and willing to answer my questions, and I ended up losing 26 pounds with a strict caloric diet, and the Phentermine. I only gave one star because they did not mention that Phentermine can cause hair loss/alopecia. I've lost a big patch of hair on the back of my head, and thinning all throughout my scalp. I was only on the medicine for one month. Now I am paying for it, dermatologists appointments every few months, medications to try to reverse the effects, and even my dermatologist said she has seen other women come in with the same complaint from using Phentermine. When I googled "Phentermine and" hair loss was the first option to pop up! Not sure why all the bad reviews! They are affordable, very sweet, VERY clean comfortable waiting area. They always have a groupon and the ladies are nice enough to tell you about it/let you buy it right there at the counter if you hadn't. My biggest thing is they are discreet and polite in there rooms, and make a point to counsel everyone about nutrition and workout programs, not just hand out bottles of pills. THEY ALSO SPEAK SPANISH! I'm not a Latina, but this is important to me, it's a very underserviced community! read more

My new patient visit was cancelled the day of with an email no call. Tried to call but got a voicemail box that was full repeatedly all day. Rescheduled online and was still waiting 45 minutes after my appointment. If it's not too far out of the way go to Cherry Creek Weight Loss. They have their crap together. read more

If i could give this place a more negative review, I would. First of all when I went, they took blood and the girl didn't know what she was doing and my blood went everywhere!!! Now, I have been sick and unable to make it to the clinic, but they have taken the money from my account. I faxed them to cancel and they told me that I would not get any of the pills that I wasn't able to come in and get before now. They are only open 3 days a week and people work. So this is complete and utter BS. Stay as far away from this place as you can. Each time that you go in there is someone different working, which should say something. This place is Awful!!!! There is no professionalism! Here take the medicine and the needles.....no help, no instructions. Not only that put was asked if I wanted an ice pack to bring hcg home. Huge mistake! What she neglected to tell me was that the meds were in a padded fed ex envelope that she called an ice pack. I thought the needles were pre loaded with the hcg! After digging through the trash and finding my "ice pack" the meds were wrapped in there. So $300 later no hcg and not willing to help me. I'll be turning them into the BBB. The place is clean, staff is friendly, but is you are in the injection program, be aware because every time they put less in you injection. it is a fraud. I use to go to for the same treatment in Englewood, and I move to this medical center because it is close to my house but, I will come back to the previous one, they are more honest. I signed up for the phentermine program which required $79.99 monthly payment withdrawn from your account every month. The only requirement was to cancel in writing. I cancelled after 2 months in writing on their website. They continued to take payments out for 8 months and will not refund the money. I had to file a fraud complaint with my bank. read more

When I arrived, the waiting room was filled with patients. I arrived to my first time patient appointment ten minutes early with all of my paperwork already filled out. This place seemed extremely unorganized and way too busy. Seems like they over book their appointments in expectation that many will cancel. I purchased my first month worth of services through Groupon and one of the services included weigh-ins on a "advanced weight loss scale", which never really existed. When I asked the receptionist why I was lied to and if I could get some sort of reimbursement, she said that there was nothing she could do about it since I purchased my first month through Groupon. Besides being lied to and this office being super busy, the staff seemed to be in a huge rush. The "doctor" actually checked his watch during the Q and A session. If I would have known that the entire process would have been like this I would never have purchased the Groupon special. The Groupon special said that the total cost of the services would have come to $369, but actually only came out to about $199. read more

I was a member of this clinic and it's constant name changes for nearly 5 years and always had good experiences until recently. I have worked directly with Nelly and have tried different combinations of testosterone over the years. Recently I was advised, by Nelly, to try Semorlin along with testosterone. I agreed and paid for 2 months of both products upfront. A few days later, I received a box literally loaded with syringes (probably 40) and products that I have never seen and had absolutely zero idea of how use. I reached out to Nelly and explained that I needed help. After going back and forth with her and not getting anywhere for nearly an hour. I called the pharmacy directly and they directed me to a video that walked me through all of the steps. I was also told that they would only send 1 month of Semorlin at a time. Since, I have tried to reach the clinic and Nelly directly to inquire about receiving the remainder of my Semorlin that I had paid for and/or a credit. Nelly has refused to respond in any way and I am unable to find out how to contact Dr. Troy Harris directly to resolve this. I have made several attempts to resolve this and no one will get back to me. I paid around $150 for product that I have never received and can not get anyone to respond to my efforts to be reimbursed. It's ridiculous that a medical practice is allowed to steal from it's patients! The next step is to reach out to the medical board of Colorado and personally show up at the Clinic and hope to run into Dr. Harris directly to get some resolution. There are a lot of options in the Denver area for similar services and I would strongly recommend researching other options and taking your business elsewhere!!!
