I would like to give my heartfelt gratitude for today's experience!…read more I'm a little clumsy sometimes. And dealing with immigration could be stressful. Today I finished my meeting at the office with the amazing officer I had. It went well, and I noticed on my way out back to the car my card was missing. I checked for many times in my bag and it just wasn't there. I really didn't want to, but I had to go back in, these gentlemen of security was so nice and kind to me and offered their helping hands without judging. I went to the office to talk to the front desk lady also, and was able to connect to the officer to see if I left my card. and at the end, they were able to sent me upstairs to check. Security walked with me after looking for the same officer I had, I felt so grateful and fortunate as me being a foreigner even I had lived here for years. The kindness and non judgmental treatment as I was able to receive. The end of story was, I didn't realized my card was with my passport haha. I was able to find it at the end finally after my tears came out(silly me I know). I appreciate their kindness of allowing me. When I get overwhelmed I do things like this. And I decided to share my experiences here and I appreciate them as much as I appreciate the appreciation I had today! Thank you! You guys are a great team!! Ms Reyes crossed the line into assault when she flicked that card at my face…read more The rent a cop/security person/receptionist intentionally flicked my mom's ID card at my face while I was bent over finishing up my mom's paperwork. I said to Ms Reyes I don't appreciate it when you flick things at my face. She responded to me by saying, "You started it. " I responded, "I'm not the one flicking things at people." She next tried to order me to go sit down. I had to step outside in order to calm down. I spoke to the acting manager who told me to call the real manager on Monday. I am seriously considering contacting the Aurora Police to file a personal assault charge against Ms. Reyes.

**Review of Chalk Lines and Vines Event**…read more Welcoming back events in a big way. First up at the Fairgrounds: Chalk Lines and Vines. The inaugural event was a little pricy ($35/ticket) for sampling (only 13 wineries were on hand). Attendees were treated to a tote and souvenir glass, live music and the inevitable wrath of mother nature. Thankfully the event hall was open for all to escape from the lightening and rainstorm. Only one winery was offering buy more save more discounts. Two food truck vendors were on hand and the talent of some amazing chalk artists displaying their creations. It was still a nice time to be outdoors, with humans and without masks. Yay!!! The fairgrounds are well maintained and the security personnel available and accommodating (we turned in a ladies handbag so hopefully she returned to claim it!) If Arapahoe County were to revisit the event next year, my only suggestion would be to have more wineries on hand. Colorado does have good grapes and The Denver area is littered with fabulous wine producers (Missing out on Bigsby's, Purgatory, Grande River, just to name a few.)

Hadley is a small library on the south side of Denver on the corner of Jewell and Federal. It has a…read morevery small parking lot that fills up very quickly. This is a popular location for the area residents as most of the tables and other seating areas also fill up very quickly. The few times I have been here I noticed that they offer snacks suck as cookies, chips, gummies, etc wrapped up in little plastic bags to anybody next to the check out counter on a first come first served basis. Sometimes Ive noticed issues with loud kids or homeless but security is usually buzzing around to take care of it. Nice place overall.

Decent selection of dvd's, games and cd's. Books are limited, but available via interlibrary loan. Computer terminals available for gaming or personal use, outside school hours terminals may require reservation as occupied by children. Recent expansion in lower level, not yet visited. Overall a smaller neighborhood library, well frequented, staff willing to work with visitors to meet their needs.

This was my first visit to this branch of the Denver Public Library, and it is not a convenient…read morelocation for me, but I was in search of immediate gratification for a specific DVD that was only available here. The DVD was on the shelf where it was supposed to be, so my mission was a success. The building is quite striking on the outside with interesting materials and architecture, nice landscaping, and a large parking lot. It was completed in 1962 as the last of four branches financed by the Frederick R. Ross Trust. The design has held up very well as it still looks quite fresh and contemporary. There was a major renovation in 1994. The inside is much less interesting, but appears well-stocked with a large selection of books, various media, computers, and a good children's area.
