Came here for jury duty and had a great time! The building is nice, has lots of clean bathrooms, good views and a small cafe/coffee shop. This isn't even sarcastic; I really wanted to end up on the jury so I could come back.

I was summoned for jury duty and this review is so people have an up to date idea of how things are in light of COVID. I entered through the side entrance about 20 minutes before the time on my summons and there were only 2 people in front of me in the security line. They have the spots marked where you're supposed to stand while waiting so people aren't too close to each other. You have to take your laptop, keys, and cell phone out of your bag and open any water bottles. It's not really well marked where to go after security, but I eventually found a sign for jurors. That check in line also had spots marked for socially distancing. I was checked in within about 5 minutes. They give you an assigned seat number and all of the chairs in the waiting lounge are spaced apart. The one challenge you might have if you want to work while you're waiting is that you're not sitting at a table or by a plug in with the assigned chairs. There were vending machines in the lounge with disinfecting wipes for the keypad. You can't take your mask off in the lounge, so you need to step out to eat or drink. I didn't make it to a courtroom, so can't speak to that, but I was satisfied with the steps they took from what I saw.

I've been here a couple of times not by choice but with a family member. The times I've come I have been treated well and nice directions were given to whatever I was trying to find in the building.

Ask the Community - Lindsey-Flanigan Courthouse

Can Juror's bring their smart phones there is no mention of it on the website? Thank you for the reply.

Yes you can. But you can't use it in the courtroom. In the jury waiting room you can have phones, computers, tablets, etc. But once you are in the courtroom, they have to be put away.

Art for the sake of art…read more At first glance, it looks like a group of large marble and granite figures, but on closer inspection it is a group of two judges, one female and one male, and four children. Seated outside the Carr Center, the two groups look like they are engaged in an intimate conversation. Nice to be able to walk by the Colorado Yule marble and green granite figures of "Justice for All" that were created by Madeline Wiener, a New York-born, Denver-based sculptor with an international following. Inspired by the warmth of real judges, Wiener tried to create a friendly space for children and their families to be welcome. The statues of the children look so innocent as they try to ingest the wisdom of the justices. Kids can climb or sit on the statues. For their parents, it is a great photo op. Although, I did not enter the actual courthouse, I know that there is more artwork inside as well. Walking through downtown Denver, there is so much public art. This is due to a state law that manadates 1 percent of public building costs be dedicated to the acquisition of art which gave the construction of the Carr Center an art budget of just over $1.7 million. So nice to be able to take a walk and just enjoy art for the sake of art.
