Doctor was funny, girlfriend got her OC spray taken which sucked but understandable because someone got shot here last week

Likely the only reason you find yourself here is because you're injured or very ill. So, you should be treated well when you're at your worst, that's precisely how it works at this Aurora Center! Even though they only had one doctor available during my visit, the staff was warm and friendly. They were able to give me an accurate wait time and their check in process texts you when your appointment is getting close in case you want to wait nearby. Street parking along the Center is free for up to 2 hours, which is convenient. They also had water and coffee available in their waiting area. The exam room was clean and it looked like they had 3 rooms available for patients. The nurse was compassionate with her care and thorough. The Doctor was kind and offered to shake my hand even though I was not feeling well. She was thorough as well, was able to determine what I was sick with and prescribe me with the appropriate medicine. It's only been a few days since my visit, but I am already feeling much better. I'm glad I chose to visit this clinic. read more

From out of town and hurt my knee. I was in lots of pain. The staff was quick to get me checked in. I did have about an hour wait but there were lots of really sick kids in the clinic. I was given a wheelchair so I could raise my leg. Once taken back, the nurses were so nice and helpful. The X-ray techs were great and the doc was kind as well. Given my circumstance, being from out of town and in pain, I was given stellar service. read more

Accessible and convenient. This was my first time at this location and I am quite satisfied with the care provided. You can walk in or make a same day appointment online, which is what I did. They have three examination rooms. Overall, I was there for about an hour but I did arrive about 15 early to my scheduled time slot. Attentive and caring staff. I went to this clinic on a Friday night to get my ankle/foot checked out. I was able to get an X-ray onsite and thankfully my foot was not broken. I left with a gel cast, instructions to help the ankle heal, and what to do in a week if it isn't getting better. The staff was very kind and friendly. The clinic has a lot of wood accents giving it a warm feel (it actually used to be a bar lol), and the wait was relatively short. I was really happy with my visit and the gel cast is working wonders !!! read more

About a month after I came here for urgent care, I received a surprise bill in the mail for a physician specialist visit (and not urgent care as advertised or collected at the time of service). Aurora Health has repeatedly refused to adjust the bill to accurately reflect the services provided. Watch out for your wallet and go somewhere else! read more

I have been here a few times and have never had to wait more than 30 min. Not sure what caused others to wait but it hasn't been my experience. No one wants to be sick and wait on top of it. I wish I could do half stars on Yelp. This place is great but I am giving it three stars because this location does not see women for potential yeast infections. They advise you to schedule an appointment with a PCP, but some people like me don't have one so urgent care is the closest thing to seeing a regular physician. As a woman, that makes this business lack a component that is 30% of the time why I need to see a doctor. If you go here for something else that requires the prescription of antibiotics and you let them know you are prone to yeast infections, they will take you on your word and write a script for one to combat the impending doom. My wait times here have varied from walking right into a room to be seen, to waiting up to two hours in the waiting room. Patient flow is out of their control, so this doesn't bother me. The waiting room is nice and they usually have HGTV on, which I secretly enjoy watching if I am going to be sitting in a waiting room doing nothing. The staff is friendly and everything is pretty nice here. read more

After a restless night feeling like I had been swallowing razor blades, I decided to set out first thing Saturday morning in search of some weekend diagnosis. Aurora Urgent Care Center is downtown, open early and in network with my insurance, so off I went. Maybe it was my sick stupor, but I could not find a dedicated parking lot so I abandoned my car in a set of metered angled spaces one street over. After dropping a dime into the meter with hopes that it would still be there and ticket-free when I returned. The office space reminded me of a former charming flat complete with Mission-style decor and a cozy fireplace in the waiting room. The lovely hardwood accents carried through to the exam room doors as well. The exam room was not too big, with a chair like you would find in a dentist office rather than a bed. Before long I was questioned, swabbed, pre-scripted and on my way. Phil at reception, the doctor and the young lady who called me a couple of days later with my lab results were all super nice and seemed to genuinely care about my well-being which made feeling like crap a little more tolerable. read more

This Urgent Care center is conveniently located in Downtown Milwaukee-- that is probably the only convenient thing about it. It is much too expensive for the level of service they provide. I waited two hours to see a doctor - there was no one else in the waiting room, so not sure why it took 2 hours to see the 2 patients who were inside, but I was OK with it. It was a Saturday, or I would have gone to see a regular doctor. I thought that I might have pink eye and didn't want to give it to anyone else. When I was called in, I first went to the desk and asked the lady at the desk how much it would cost to be seen. She took my insurance card, looked up some things, and said $100. Ok, that is a lot for a doctor to look in your eye and say you have pink eye, but I didn't want to spread it to anyone else, so I went ahead and saw the doctor. He looked in my throat, looked at my eye, and took my temperature. He said, "you might have pink eye" and gave me a prescription for eye drops. A few weeks later I received a bill for $300! I tried several times to dispute the charges and their reply was, "that is the way it was coded. We are not going to change it." **This SMALL amount of service was not worth this HIGH price!** I gave it two stars because I have gone there other times and had slightly better experiences - I will not go back again though. read more

My first time at this clinic. Without insurance co-pay is $100. The wait is ridiculously long. And the physicians don't know shit. They tell you common things that you can google. I still had to go to the emergency room a couple hours later! You're better off going to an emergency room. read more

This place is a well-oiled machine! I made an appointment online and I was in and out in approximately 15 minutes. Dr. Varghese was short, sweet, and to the point. While this visit may cost me a small fortune, I would definitely go back and I highly recommend it to those individuals living and/or working downtown or in the Third Ward. read more

Going to the doctor is not fun, but this is a nice building, the staff was friendly, and the wait time wasn't terrible.

Felt like crap all weekend and couldn't get into my general doctor until mid-week (today is monday). I was looking up my options and saw this urgent care center pretty close to my work. Typically with urgent care you just show up and hope there isn't a huge wait, but this urgent care center's website let me make a "reservation" (assuming kind of like an appointment, but not guaranteed) for an hour and a half later since at the current time they were busy. About a half hour after making my reservation, I got a text saying they were running behind and my reservation moved to about 20 minutes later. Not a big deal, and was glad to hear via text right away than go there and have to sit for 20 minutes. Right when you get there you just sign in at a computer and the front desk receptionists are very nice. I had to wait maybe 5 minutes before my name was called. I was greeted by a very kind and friendly nurse who seemed to actually care about my symptoms and figuring out how to make me feel better. Next I met with the PA and she was very personable, informative, empathetic and quick with her diagnosis. She gave me great recommendations for store-bought aides to take while I waited for the anti-biotics to do their job. Overall, I've had terrible and expensive experiences with urgent care centers but this was quick and got me exactly what I needed. And the people I dealt with were all charming and easy to deal with. I was so glad that I didn't have to wait until 2 days later to just get diagnosed. Another cool thing is that this urgent care center costs the same as a general doctors visit, rather than the more expensive typical urgent care co-pay. Feeling so sick, I didn't care about paying a bit extra to get me to feel better faster... but it was awesome to get in and see that it wasn't any more expensive than my would-have-been Wednesday appointment. read more

After all my home remedies for a sore throat failed, I went to this clinic. It was wonderful. Everyone was helpful, kind and professional. It was clean, quiet and quite comfortable. If I ever need urgent care again, I'll be back. Stating the obvious if you can get there early, it seems to fill up fast. read more

Everyone was incredibly nice and professional. I walked out feeling better than when I walked in because the staff didn't make me feel bad about my symptoms. I was out within an hour and my blood work results came back within a few hours. Ridiculously long wait times, sub-par customer service. Doctors brush you off and don't seem interested in hearing what's going on with your health, probably because they're understaffed and overworked. On my first visit there, I knew I had a bad sinus infection and needed medication but they brushed me off and said if I wasn't better in a few days to come back. Turns out I did have a full-blown sinus infection and had to go into a different clinic where I was properly diagnosed a few days later and told it was bad. Then, upon leaving after my last visit there for a separate illness, I asked two different people at the front desk if I owed anything for a copay and was told no, so I left. A few weeks later, I received invoices in the mail telling me I owed money. When I went back in to pay, I was told they weren't sure why the other staff said/or did that but implied they were reading/working too fast. VERY friendly staff!! I love that they have a screen in the lobby which tells you about how long your wait will be. Dr. Collins was very thorough in explaing my condition and how to continue with home care. Her, as well as the 2 nurses I saw, had a genuine concern for my health and made me feel important. The office itself, has a very homey feel to it. Not dreary like most clinics. Only inconvenience is no parking lot. But with it being in the center of downtown that is to be expected. read more

This place is a hidden gem. Quality staff: kind, professional, intelligent. Every time I go in there, I wait on average about 5-10 minutes. It's clean, and cozy. I've gone there for all sorts of things, like an earring that was stuck in my ear, to a common cold, to shortness of breath. They are so attentive and focused.
