We used Austin Classic limo for transportation at the end of our wedding night from our reception venue in Dripping Springs, TX to our hotel where we were staying in downtown Austin. In researching transportation options for us Austin Classic limo came highly recommended and was definitely one of the more affordable options when we looked around. We used their "Roosevelt" 1940 Buick and it was the perfect send off for our big night. Phil was very responsive and helped ensure they were taking all the proper protocols by sanitizing the vehicles. Drivers are required to wear masks and there is a large plexiglass between the front and back seat where you ride. They also bring their own camera and take complimentary photos of you outside the car at the end of the night which they email to you afterwards. I was very excited when I found that this company had the car of my dreams for my wedding. It was exactly what I wanted and the perfect final touch to my special day. However, I had to call about 5 times and leave messages before I ever was able to talk to someone in the company about booking the 1963 Bentley. When I was finally able to talk to them I found out they do not own the car, so they had to call the actual owner to check availability. It took them another 3 weeks to call back. I finally call one last time to tell them I would take my business somewhere else if I didn't have an answer, so they finally booked the car for me. Then, I requested to have a plate made with my married last name for which I was willing to pay extra. They finally said they couldn't do that, but they would have a plate that read "Just married" which is also advertised in their website. The wedding day comes along and they had neither my married name or the just married plate. Instead they had an extremely ugly sign with their company name and telephone number. To top it off, we had booked and paid to have the car for two hours, but the driver was annoyed when my husband asked him to take us around downtown before dropping us off at the hotel. The hotel was only about 15 minutes from the venue! So I guess in the driver's eyes he was only supposed to take us straight to the hotel while we were being charged the whole 2 hours In general, they have terrible service and are horrible at communicating with clients. The car, however, was beautiful. So if you really want the car, be ready to put up with their terrible attitude. read more

He picked my husband and me up from our ceremony at the state capitol and dropped us at Butler Park for a few extra photographs and waited for us there (even though the traffic was crazy with the Austin marathon going on that same weekend). Austin Classic Limo totally bailed on us on the wedding night! They called during the wedding reception 30 minutes before they were supposed to be there to say they weren't coming because of weather. I never knew they called cause what mother of the groom is reading texts while hosting a wedding? I only found out they weren't coming cause I called to make sure they were going to be there early. A driving company couldn't make it in the rain, but 250 guests did! They never bothered to warn us that weather would stop them from coming. If you have a downpour, they may not show!!! They didn't bother to arrange other transportation for my son and his new bride. They offered to call a taxi! What a joke! I can understand if they didn't want to drive the general that night, but a responsible business would have arranged something else. They wouldn't leave a client that had prepaid $500 stranded! I missed the whole last part of my son's wedding because I was having to scramble to find them transportation to the hotel. I highly do not advise hiring them! After reading Phil's comments, I have to say that everyone that attended the wedding planned ahead, as he should have. They left with plenty of time to overcome any obstacles that would prevent them from making the wedding. He should have planned ahead also and taken an alternate route. He had warning all day that some areas would flood, and surely if he works that area, he would have known what areas to avoid. A reputable company would have planned ahead. A reputable company would have found us alternate transportation. At the very least, a reputable company would have driven his own car to the wedding to tell us in person that they couldn't bring the "General," instead of hoping someone from the wedding would call. We confirmed that morning that they were coming, and they gave us no hint that weather might hinder them. They had ALL day to warn us. I am just so thankful that I decided to call 30 minutes before they were supposed to arrive, so that the whole wedding party and guests were not waiting out on the curb for them to show up! read more

We rented the General MacArthur - the 1940's Cadillac to drive around Austin before our ceremony and take some photos just the two of (well 4 if you count our photographer and Phil the driver!). We could not have felt more special or cool in that car, it was definitely a neat touch and just would not have been the same in a regular black car. Phil knew our shot locations list in advance and was super flexible about waiting and finding places to park and was even cool with us adding a stop at the Driskill at the end!
