His front desk lied straight to my face, they constantly have furious other patients as I've seen many time in the front office with my own eyes and ears. the front desk ignored my calls several weeks in a row as I was out of work during this fisco because I couldn't even turn my head left or right. No matter how many voicemails I left. I needed paperwork to state I was in his care to show my employer why l've been in care. This whole practice made it nothing but stressful to where I was crying everyday wondering when/if ever will they call me back? I needed this man's signature and shame on him and this whole practice so ignoring a patient in need. Now I hammer myself with lidocaine patches to numb the pain and l'm miserable every damn day. He took the time to understand my story, my condition, and after ordering new MRI and X-ray images, he recommended a minimally-invasive TLIF procedure. My discs had severely degenerated over time and a fusion was necessary to decompress the spine and give space to the nerves. Leading up to surgery Dr. V walked me through the whole process and made sure I understood exactly what to expect. After the procedure was over, he was in constant communication and made sure I was recovering properly. I saw Dr. V again for the 1-month, 3-month, and 6-month check-ups and he again made sure I was informed and healing the right way. If you have back pain, you need to go see Dr. V. He will get to the root of the issue and only recommend surgery if it's absolutely necessary for relief. I wish I would have seen him years ago.

I have no complaints about my experience with him and he is not the first doctor that I consulted with my back issue. I wish that I could have had this information prior.. I was referred here regarding pain from an auto accident. I was aware of the hefty cost ($1000 for an initial consultation visit), but was willing to pay for this doctor's expertise and opinion in reviewing my injuries. I arrived early for my appointment, and was taken back to the room in a reasonable amount of time. After the nurse took my vitals, she informed me that Dr. V would be in to see me "in a few minutes." Well, the minutes ticked by with no sign of Dr. V. After about 20 minutes of waiting, the nurse came back in & said Dr. V would just be "a few more minutes." I wound up being back in the room for a full hour PAST my appointment time when Dr. V finally bothered to come in, at which point the wait time was not acknowledged. We reviewed my history briefly, and he said really to formulate his opinion, I would need to go back and get two more MRIs so that he could see the full spine (I had already gotten one MRI). That was pretty frustrating, because I had specifically called prior to my appointment to confirm with his staff that they had everything that they would need for Dr. V to provide an opinion. I offered to go back and get additional MRIs done if that was going to be needed, and even requested they check with the on-site nurse at the time, to see if they would be helpful. After holding, I was reassured that just the one MRI was enough and I should come into the appointment to see Dr. V. Okay, so now I've paid $1000 out of pocket, just for him to tell me to go get two more MRIs. Cool. So I went and got the MRIs, & went back for a follow-up visit (which is an additional $600). Again, I arrived right on time and was taken back reasonably. Again, the nurse did her job and left me to wait for Dr. V, who would be in in "just a few minutes." This time, I was waiting for over 40 minutes in the room before Dr. V came in. The thing about Dr. V ~ he does not have good bedside manner. He'll make small talk with you, but he's not looking at you nor listening, rather, pulling up your file, making notes, etc. In the first 5 minutes of my time with Dr. V, he pulled his cell phone out of his pocket to check it three times. At the third occurrence, I asked him if I was interrupting anything, to which he replied no, that the hospital keeps calling him and he doesn't know why. Again, no acknowledgement of my wait time nor the lack of consideration in checking his phone when I was paying handsomely for his time. Well, he reviewed those MRIs and ultimately said that there's nothing he can do for me as far as treatment goes, and referred me to Pain Management. On my way out, I spoke with the office manager, and outlined my concerns. I was very gracious and understanding, but shared that I do not think my time was respected. I have a life - a job, a family - to plan around in order to make these appointments work. Not only was I not seen at the promised appointment time, but left in a room to wait for multiple hours over the course of just two visits. I courteously asked for a credit to my bill as consideration for MY time. I was given a lot of empathy, "I get what you're saying & I agree," and she offered to share the feedback with Dr. V and call me back. Of course, she did not call me back, so when I reached her back she again gave some apologies and acknowledgement, and said that she reviewed with Dr. V and they had decided that they were unable to credit my account balance. So, I cannot control what's on the MRI, but he has the audacity to charge me THOUSANDS of dollars for less than one hour of his time, yet refuses to acknowledge that MY time is worth anything at all. In summary, this establishment: * Does not value their patient's time * Supports a doctor who checks his phone while in the room w/ a patient * had a crappy blood pressure cuff that they literally asked me to hold in place so it wouldn't fall off Patients BEWARE

A little background: After surgery for nerve pain in my neck (two vertebrate fused) I continued to have problems. I was prescribed pain killers including opioids and Lyrica and nothing was working. I was then referred to a pain management clinic which did injections, nerve blocks, ablations and I was prescribed additional controlled narcotics. All the while they seemed to be focused on setting me up for a spinal stimulator trial. In fact, they got the approval from my insurance before even trying the blocks and ablations. I felt like the goal of the treatment was the implant and I didn't feel comfortable with their line of treatment. So it was time for a second opinion. Fast forward to Dr. Moroz. He agreed to see me and asked for all of my previous MRIs, CTs, physical therapy, etc... When I arrived for the appt it was obvious he had done his homework and was familiar with my history. His approach was let's deal with the pain, and not worry about what had been done in the past. It was history and couldn't changed. After a thorough discussion he addressed the pain simply by prescribing a prescription strength NSAID and cold compresses. No opioids or other pain killers! Two days later I was without pain. He also ordered another MRI to rule out any other issues or complications... which showed no additional problems. Today I had a follow-up appt via phone (I was offered in an office, video or phone appt) and we discussed follow up options. Since I was no longer in pain, he did not recommend any additional treatments, which I loved. His only goal was that I was in no pain! To say the least, I am super impressed with his knowledge, treatment, bedside manner and staff. See him before you have surgery! You could possibly save yourself weeks or months of pain and significant amounts of money. If I had it to do over again I would have gotten a second opinion before the first surgery, which may have resulted in no surgery a all! While I'm at it. Let me also recommend the Doctor who referred me. It might not make sense on the surface, since he is a dermatologist. But I've seen Dr. Jason S. Reichenberg for over 15 years and trust his advise explicitly. So, if you need a dermatologist, he's the guy.

The ER referred me to an orthopedic surgeon so I called Texas Orthopedics. Dr. Garcia had the first availability, which was the following Monday morning. I waited over an hour to see him, which is always frustrating, but I was grateful to get in to see anyone so soon after the unjury so I stuck it out. He spent about 60 seconds actually talking to me, another 2 minutes unwrapping my foot, and about 30 seconds more showing me how to put on the air cast he gave me. I was told to be non weight bearing for 2 weeks and then come back in. On my follow up visit I saw his PA, Vicki. She saw me on time, answered my questions, explained more about my injuries and expected recovery. She was great. At that point I was weight bearing as tolerable (with the air cast). She told me to come back in 3 weeks where, so long as things remained stable, I would be fitted with an ankle brace I could wear with a regular shoe and scheduled for physical therapy. I came back 3 weeks later, not realizing my follow up was with Dr. Garcia. The entire waiting room was full (it was a Monday morning, 10:30) so I was not surprised they were running behind. But when most other patients had been called back and we were more than 30 minutes after my scheduled visit should have started I asked the front desk if I had inadvertently missed hearing my name called. Two front desk people exchanged glances, one telling the other "it's with Dr. Garcia," and the second person looked at me, sighed, and said, "Oh, he always runs late. He's just running late." I asked if she had any idea how much longer it would be and she said there was one patient in front of me. 20 minutes later, with only 3 of us left in the waiting room and nobody called back, I sent my husband out to get the car and asked to speak to a supervisor. In a loud voice I explained that my husband had taken the morning off work to bring me to the appointment, that I have a mother who depends on me for her own medical appointments, and that I (also) have a life. I asked if the doctor was even in the office and was told that he was. I asked if had had a surgery or something else that had held him up and was told he had not. The office manager said, "Sometime he just needs to spend me time with patients. I'm sure you'd want the same level of care." "I don't think that's what's going on here," I replied. She asked if I wanted to reschedule and I said no, then asked her to pass a message along to Dr. Garcia. My message? He wasted my time and my healthcare. And his unprofessional behavior was preventing his staff, who could have helped, from communicating effectively with his patients to improve their outcome. I told her I would find another doctor. And I did. At ARC Orthopedics. I will not be back to see Dr. Garcia.
