It was obvious that the selection of wines was carefully curated by someone who is passionate about wine. A brief conversation with Guy, the shop owner, confirmed my suspicions. Guy was kind, knowledgeable, and generous with his expertise. There were a number of excellent producers represented in the collection and Guy was happy to make suggestions about drinking windows and pairings. A really fun place to shop -- highly recommended.

I do it for the exercise and to save gas, but I'll let everybody keep thinking that I bike to liquor stores because my license was taken away because of, um, my frequent visits to liquor stores. I like Binny's, but this is closer, has a great selection, and has better pricing on some items. I lately only go to Binny's for particular beers that Prestige doesn't always have, or has in limited quantities that may disappear quickly, like Sam Adams Blackberry Witbier. I took one star away because there seem to be some rude customers there pretty often; the kind of people who smash their car door into other people's doors and then yell at the person in the car they smashed like it was their fault for having the stupidity and audacity to park in their vicinity. Also, the parking lot can be a bitch to get out of if you drive. Also, I like that they card religiously, but there's this ONE GUY who likes to scrutinize the ID's of old ladies to make them feel young and beautiful or something, even if there's a line. Hey man, if you wait much longer, she's going to die before she can get home and drink that wine cooler. Really, though, I love this place. Thank you for selling good sangria on the cheap, Prestige!

Holy crap, yes, such a thing exists ^_^ In a fit of intrigue, yearning, and jealousy, I urgently got on the interwebz and used my keen investigatory abilities in order to find a place where i could get my desirous lil' hands on some bottles. The interwebz pointed me out to Prestige and minutes later i was in my car ready to go. Compared to other liquor stores, Prestige is on the smaller size, but it packs a big punch in terms of their craft and specialty beer selection. The place was clean, organized, and the guy in front of the counter was really helpful in terms of helping me find what i was looking for. The beer gods must have been looking out for me because i managed to snatch the last bottle of Wells Banana Bread Beer which cost around $5. I browsed their selection to see if i there was anything else cool to buy and hell yes there was. TONS of lefthand,Three Floyds, Lagunitas products, lots of interesting specialty porters, stouts, i found a creme brulee beer, a vanilla beer, AND i ended up purchasing a bottle of oatmeal stout. This place freaking rules and my banana bread beer was amazing. It smelled like bananas and tasted like awesome. Sorry Liver, but i'll be coming here back for surely .

I've suggested it to many friends as the best place in Logan Square to get natural wines. Typically the people who work here are very helpful. There was a guy who no longer seems to be around who was especially welcoming and knowledgeable in the past. My most recent visit was astounding, in a bad way. I was "helped" by an extremely condescending and belittling woman while trying to buy 8-10 bottles of wine for a large family dinner. Perhaps it's easy to forget that some people don't know everything about wine when you're surrounded by it all day, I'm not sure how else anybody could justify acting the way she did. Every question I asked was met with a response that almost seemed mocking. I could barely believe the way she was speaking to me until my partner commented how incredibly unkind she seemed. I'm leaving two stars because the wines are really good, and I've never encountered this person before, so perhaps it was a fluke. But I'll never shop here again, because I won't be able to forgot how awful she made me feel. And not only that, but because I had suggested the shop to others. I just hope none of them have to deal with the wrath of this abusive natural wine step mom. I go out of my way to shop at speciality curated stores, especially when they're good at what they do and I'm made to feel welcome. And how good they are would almost deserve another star, but employing a bully like her in 2021 is disappointing. I almost feel melodramatic because of how let down I feel. He mentioned that it was usually a better selection, so he must have noticed this (I didn't say anything to that effect). A few weeks later, I have noticed that the bottles of Heineken light are from 2023. What on earth? Where is the quality control? I tried to call them first, doing so within business hours, but not only did they not pick up, the call immediately went to a few beeps and then disconnected. That is weird!

They also had a bottle of Chateauneuf du Pape from Avril for a mere $26. Cigars are for sale, as well, but I did not investigate closely on my first visit. The staff is very sweet. We all sat on the floor and took in the vibes while the performers showcased their talents. They had such a wide selection of wines and beers and liquors and we were all able to drink them inside with cups and just relax in the space. I had such a great time and I highly recommend this to anybody who is considering coming through or who may live in the neighborhood!
