Have mixed feelings about this place, and it's all about bourbon for me. If I were focused on beer or wine it would be a score of a four. They have a lot of very desirable bourbon bottles here. On the shelf is Blanton's, Eagle Rare 10, Stagg, Michters 10 rye, and a bunch of "dusties" like an old Four Gate that I'd like to have but they're priced on the high end of secondary pricing. Staff is friendly, maybe a little pushy but they know what they have and that most stores don't have it so it's what the market holds....dangling out there for someone willing to pay the high prices... but go find these bottles. read more

Excellent. It's a dingy little liquor store. Decent prices, solid wine options, a good size cooler with some standard options, some craft options and a small back room completely filled with craft and imports. Not an exhaustive beer selection, but for a shop this size, they pack in a great variety and thoughtful selection - ton of options. Just wish it didn't smell like that. If you live in the area, Otis & Lee is THE liquor store spot. If you're a beer drinker passing by, you should stop by. read more

Plenty of selections for craft beer here and they seem to have plenty of wine & spirits too. Prices are pretty reasonable. Mom n Pop shop so please patronize. Owner was chatty and friendly, so no reason not to come inside and work on getting ur groove on! read more

Awful Price gouging for blantons bourbon. If my boyfriend didn't absolutely love the stuff, there's better bourbon for $200.

Place is a dump and owner has terrible attitude. Decent selection of craft beer but way overpriced and beer is often past its prime- literally covered in dust. Higher prices expected at a local store but these guys really price gouge. I now go to Jacks down the road. Not as large of a beer selection but they have a good amount and will order something specific if you ask. Customer service way better. read more

I will always shop local and small businesses before a big chain store. Prices are usually a little higher but it makes sense because they have smaller margins. Stopped in the other day to look at their bourbon selection. Not too bad pricing for most normal stuff. But when you look at the allocated bottles, they want way more than MSRP for them. It's this kind of price gouging that drives me to chain stores because they respect the MSRP. The guy behind the counter was nice and helped with my questions but I won't go back because of their pricing. This review is indicative only of their pricing. read more

Good liquor store, fair prices, recently installed a brand new fancy beer cooler that is a thing of awe. Otis & Lee has been around for no less than 30 years in the area. Of course it has changed hands a few times and I am not sure if anyone remembers who Otis & Lee were, but now it is owned by some nice immigrants who have made it into a neat and tidy operation after the store's late 80s to mid 90s era when it fell into disrepair. Love it here! Very close to downtown Northbrook..........EXCELLENT Beer, wine and liquor selection. They can sometimes give you special discounts on ordering bulk of a particular item. Very competitive with prices and even beat out Binnys prices on some items. read more

Strolled in last night to see what selection of craft brews this place had to offer (with a couple hard to find ones in mind), and was indeed impressed. Checked reviews prior to coming in and was hoping to have the same experience mentioned by other customers. Definitely did. The manager, whose name I regretfully forgot, was very helpful and knowledgable when it came to 'beer smarts'. I left one happy customer and will definitely be returning soon. read more

Went here a few times. Its in a terrible location with even worse parking. The layout is messy to say the least. They sell lottery tickets, so get prepared to wait behind someone in line picking their numbers. Most of the beer bottles are covered in dust... so check the date. Both times the guy behind the counter didn't know a thing about the HUGE beer selection they have. I was looking for specific beers that were released, but he had no idea about any of them. I ended up buying something I found on a shelf. Seemed pricey, but I didn't want to leave empty handed. Looked it up later and yep, I had been charged about $3 more than other places. I decided to give the place another try a few weeks later and went back. This different guy knew even less about beer, like he didn't even know they carried beer. I wandered around and found a bomber of a chocolate peanut butter porter. I should have checked the date... it had been on the shelf over a year. I put it in the fridge when I got home. A day later I opened it and it gushed all over the place. About 3 oz were left after the that. What a waste. I will never go back. read more
