These guys are on point. I had a massive leak, a leaking fountain and a broken drain. They were fast , efficient and friendly and cleaned everything up. I had my questions answered by the owner upon inquiry. He was clear and concise and sold the deal for me. My experience with pool companies thus far is that it is a shady business. We bought this house a year ago and I inherited some problems and never owned a pool before. I spoke to many companies and had several people out to look at the problem. It is hard to come back and write a negative review from a seemingly positive experience 2 years ago. The problem is that although the leak was sealed using 2-3 inches of concrete. Over time, the concrete and plastic (skimmer) separated. It cracked and leaked again (see the photo). That fix was not professionally done. Now the only option is to have the skimmer replaced, and worse, they asked me to contact Texas Vinyl Pools. Neither responded to solve the problem. I am very disappointed. read more

Austin Pro Leak is not a very good company. I believe they used to be a lot better but from what I've heard, the quality and responsiveness has dropped off significantly. In May 2020 I had them come out for a leak detection and subsequently had them fix the issues. One was in my skimmer basket by the return lines and one was in the spa wall. To fix the leak at the skimmer baskets they used epoxy to seal the area. What they did not do was allow the epoxy to cure before filling the pool up which did not fully allow the leak to seal. I did not realize this until much later when I had them come back out to try and fix my new spa issue (more on this later) and William (a guy that wasn't with the company during the first repair) let me know that the initial repair hadn't been done correctly. He saw to it that they honored their warranty for that repair and the epoxy was applied again. I came home and checked and the water was above the repair so again, they didn't wait 24 hours to let it cure (or they just didn't do it and said they did). I complained and the next day, finally, the water was lowered and the repair was done correctly. To fix the spa issue in 2020, they drilled into my spa wall. My spa never functioned correctly after the repair. After learning more about how the spa plumbing works and after talking with professionals I believe that when they did the repair inside the spa wall they got some debris in the line which forced water to come up the air inlets instead of out the jets like it's supposed to. I did not try and use the hot tub until the winter of 2020/2021 so I didn't even notice the new issue until then. Then we had the big freeze and my spring gets busy with work so I waited until May 2021 to get them to come out and check it out. They told me that it was because my jets were old and a piece had likely broken off. I replaced them all and still, the issue persisted. Around this time I was getting the pool replastered and the deck redone so I wanted to wait until after that to worry about the spa again since the warranty was good until November 2021 and I didn't really need my spa. In September 2021 I attempted to get Austin Pro Leak to come back out and fix the spa issue in that was clearly caused by them drilling into my spa wall, but William tried to blame it on me stating to another professional I had him talk to that I was just trying to get them to work for free. That was enough for me to find another company. I am giving two stars only because after a year and a half the main issue I was having with my pool leaking was fixed. read more

I called Austin Pro Leak about 3 weeks ago when I noticed the water level in my pool rapidly falling. About 1.5 weeks later, a technician came to my home and found the leak. I never heard from the home office until 7 days later when they sent me an invoice despite the fact that I called and left a message the day of the detection. I was able to see where the leak was based on a flag that was left in the ground. Also, I was able to text back and worth with the gentlemen who found the leak. He was very helpful. Luckily for me, I was able to fix the leak myself. However, I probably would have gladly paid the company to fix it if I had promptly heard back from the company. Had I not be able to fix the leak, I would have been extremely frustrated to watch my pool continue to empty while waiting for Austin Pro Leak to get back to me. read more

Wish they at least had the courtesy of calling me to inform they couldn't make it rather than me calling them to ask why they weren't there. Happened twice in consecutive days. I received a return call from Avery the owner letting me know that the problem with my pool is plumbing( another contractor) and not the actual surfacing or stabilization of the pool- since they no longer come out to New Braunfels he gave his diagnosis of what the problems could be . I appreciate that he called and let me know that he was willing to make arrangements with me if the problem because of their work. He let me know how long the different warranties on the pool last. Since I was extremely satisfied with the previous service from Austin Pro Leak, naturally I called them again to install a new pool filter I had to get. Just like the first time, Will was timely, polite and very professional. It ended up being more than the original quote but it took twice as long as originally anticipated. Considering I needed a lot of re-plumbing since I changed from a sand filter to a cartridge filter, I felt the price was fair. On a side note - last year, my pool service company said the pump, which was originally installed by Austin Pro Leak, wasn't working properly. True to their word and warranty, Avery from Austin Pro Leak went out and checked the equipment and it was fine, my pool service company had made a mistake. Having moved to Austin I did know who to call. My previous experience with pool leak companies in Houston had been a nightmare. Will and Avery were honest and thorough with their assessment. I must admit I gave them a tough time due to my experience with the Houston companies. They not only had the right answers but they went above and beyond what was need just to make sure I was happy. I had a second occasion to call them on a different problem and again they exceeded my expectations. Some of the reviews complain about their return call times. I understand why that is though. John came out to find a leak in our pool. He found it in no time. As it turns out our problem was with our bubbler. Even though he found the leak, he didn't stop there. He continued checking for other potential leaks and happened to find a tiny one that required only the tightening of a screw. The price was very fair. This is just my experience but I would not recommend this company. I should have known better from the beginning when they took over a week to return my calls that this was not going to be a good experience. In short, it took them three trips to figure out all the leaks I had. They just show up whenever without any advance notice. After three trips they finally figured out where the major leak was and as of now they have yet to return and fix it. This process started way back with my first call to them in January and of the end of May the work is still pending. They charged my credit card without my permission for the complete job. Today after several attempts and several weeks to get them back to finish the job I have given up and contacted my credit card company to dispute their charge on my card. This company might have the worst customer service and business process of any business I have ever dealt with. Save yourself the headache and find someone else. read more

We were very please with Austin Pro Leak. They were able to locate and repair the leak in my pool all in one day. That included replacing some decorative concrete. They also pointed out some service issues and were able to refer us to a service company that we really like as well. I live in Hutto and was having a hard time finding someone to check my in-ground pool which had somewhat of a mystery leak. Pro Leak was recommended to me, so I scheduled an appointment and they came out, found the problem and fixed it without any issues. Entertained 3 bids. Two of them were higher the APL AND they would only find the leak... No repair included. APL team came out found the leak (under my flagstone) and fixed it without tearing up the hard scape. They knew the inner workings of my pool, how to find the leak quickly and how to fix a broken pipe that was difficult to get to. Top notch work at a very reasonable price. read more

Do not use this company; we paid $415 for a check due to a leak in our pool. While it appeared thorough they didn't complete a 100% check of all our pool equipment so when we got the report and cost of repair we questioned it. We were told we should complete the initial repairs costing over $800 and then if the leak continued they would look further. We insisted they come back and complete the initial inspection since we believed the leak was related to our pool fountain spray. We hired another company to remove some concrete steps leading to the pool and sure enough the pipe was busted. SO not only was the diagnosis wrong but when they came back the 2nd time after being a no shower for the time set and waiting over a week; we showed Austin Pro Leak the problem and they have never provided an estimate or contacted us again.
