Spacious, spotless, and beautifully designed, it feels like a library meets urban oasis. The top floor is the star of the show, with a mini park, solar-panel shade structures, and breathtaking views of Lady Bird Lake. There are cozy reading nooks, spaces for games, a whole floor for kids, plus a cafe and gift shop downstairs. Parking is conveniently available below. We came for books but stayed for the views! San Antonio, take notes? I'd definitely make another stop here on our next Austin adventure.

This is the type of structure and experience you'd expect in NYC, London, and the likes. Absolute perfection. I love the way the book sections and categories are divided and set up on various floors. Each floor is crazy spacious with loads of comfortable reading areas, tables, areas for rest, etc. There are private meeting rooms, a cafe, gift shop, an art gallery, rooftop deck with crazy good views of the city and Ladybird Lake, a children's library called 'Wonderland', an events center and so much more. The librarians and staff are extremely helpful, friendly, and not bothered if you need assistance locating a book. They have almost everything you could possibly be looking for to read whether for research or fun. Access to laptops and computers. Lots of charging areas for media and phones. The library is a true marvel. It makes me happy to see and know that ALL are welcome, especially the unhoused who would otherwise not have a place to go in extreme temps. The bathrooms and entire library are spotless and meticulously clean. We're so very lucky to have this amazing library in our city.

This is a good nearby alternative as they have a free parking lot. The staff were very friendly when I asked them questions, and the restrooms were clean. They had some tables and chairs to work at as well as public computers. Sitting at the table was unfortunately very uncomfortable, but it was bearable for three hours. Once kids started coming in after school, it was so loud. They have a kids' section, but it is right next to the work area, so it was very loud with kids yelling and screaming. I know it's a small library, but it's nice when the kids' section is separated from the work area.

It's an important museum that houses millions of photos, videos, documents, etc. with regard to the Civil Rights Movement, Vietnam War, LBJ's presidency, and so on. Cedar Park's library was buzzing on a Sunday, with very few parking spots available in the vicinity. As I walked inside to get my non-resident library card, the team working at the front desk was extremely helpful. After getting my card, I took the time to explore their space. Their communal work area in the lobby is basically like a coffee shop without the coffee. There's a kids' area separated by a door and a glass window, which I watched a kid smack right into on accident. Not important to the review, but funny! Upstairs is the endless rows of fiction and non-fiction books, with plenty of comfortable spaces to work and private rooms to get tasks done. I didn't check anything out, but I was amazed by the sheer size of the spot. Outside there's an outdoor play area that I would've investigated if it wasn't 105°F outside. It's a lot cozier in the A/C. Cedar Park Public Library is the book readers' mecca for smaller municipalities. I am still dreaming about it a few days later. We found some books that looked interesting and I picked up one I have been wanting to read for awhile. We found out they have a adopt a bookmark where they collect bookmarks left by people over the years and you can pick one out to take home! Very cool, we also got a bookmark from their 40th year celebration last year that we did not pick up last year. The place is always clean, the staff is always great and super friendly. They always have something going on from Open Mic to writing classes. The adopt a bookmark is great.

We go to many…read morein the area but even in special kid rooms, it sometimes feel like they don't understand that toddlers are wiggly and noisy. The play area outside is amazing. With the upgrades the sand pit and music center give kids tons to do. They have a chalkboard and a little tin container that usually has chalk inside it. There's a cool wooden Structure kids can climb and go inside of- lots of room for kids to have some imaginative play. The story times are great here too!
