I can tell you my root canal went smoothly. And although I was given some medication to follow up witih, I did not need it. I barely felt any pain. Although they were able to get you in I felt like it was a rush job, spoke too fast wouldn't answer really questions and it didn't feel like they were listening to what I asked. Meh... Went there once on a referral from my regular dentist. Had to go again, and scheduling was a pain. They don't check the messages their CONTACT US form on their website, and they only work Tuesdays and Thursdays. So scheduling anything was a pain in the.... mouth. Where I needed help. To be fair, they did call back like 1-2 days after I left a voicemail. But if you're like me, maybe you'd think if just getting them to take your money was this hard, imagine the actual work? You'll probably prefer to go to a place that actually returns written messages, and cares about working with their patients more than 30% of the week. read more

Amazing staff and doctor...did my root canal and it didn't hurt at all!!!! Nothing I was soooooo nervous going in my pressure was up so had to retake my pressure and it was normal but the procedure was AMAZING! No pain at all! Dr. PK was easy to talk to and very bubbly that fit to my personality which made my nerves go away. He saved my tooth my root canal went smoothly it took less than 45 mins. I am writing this for the Round Rock location. Root canals aren't fun, but this place makes it a walk in the park! I have had a root canal done before and this was FAR better. I literally did not feel even 1 pinch - not even the shots! I had my headphones in, pandora on, and was relaxing the whole time. I was in and out within 1 hour and the ENTIRE procedure was finished! They take the time afterwards to show you before and after photos and to explain what they did during the procedure, which I haven't experienced before. I've been in Austin about 6 months and have had the worst experience with dental offices. Seems like they all are just turn & burn and recommend thousands of dollars in treatment.... That being said this place treated my like a human rather than just a dollar sign. Gave me multiple options even explained there was no guarantee and gave me the option to back out with no pressure. I went ahead with the procedure with Dr.Khosravian and he is by far one of if the best if not the best I've ever had the pleasure of working with. Whoohoo! Root canals! Everyone loves root canals, right? Well, you love them after you're done anyway. ;) I've learned my lesson: My family dentist had done root canals on two of my molars, one mandibular and one maxillary. Both ended up needing retreatment. Let me just say: If you're going to get a root canal, but ESPECIALLY if you need one on a molar, GO TO A SPECIALIST. Unless you're luck(ier) than me, you'll save yourself aggravation. Dr. K (the older) did a third root canal on my #3 molar last year and found a canal that my dentist missed on two previous occasions. He was very thorough; it took a long time due to the anatomy of the tooth, but I knew for sure when I walked out that the job was done right. One year later and everything is still A-OK. Right now I'm in the middle of retreatment for #17 by Dr K. (the younger). This one has more straightforward roots so it took less time. He found additional calcification that wasn't cleared out prior, so I'm once again hopeful that this retreatment will be the last time I have problems. The staff is nice and both of the brothers appear to be very competent. Five stars for a non-fun place that's a life saver when you need them. read more

I'm writing this review for the Round Rock location, I couldn't find a separate listing. I don't know if it's possible to look forward to getting a root canal - but if it is, I'd say this place makes it happen. From the first communication - me frantically calling Endodontists in RR because I had severe tooth pain - only to reach someone at the office who was super patient and helpful. She told me the doc wouldn't be able to see me until a few days later. When I told her I was in a lot of pain and had been calling around, she asked if she could call me right back. And she DID! She spoke to the doctor and doc agreed to stay late so I could come in. I was seen the same day - for no extra "rush" or "after hours" charge. Now let's talk about the doc - Dr. McNary is hands down the best of the best. Not only did she immediately attempt to alleviate my pain when I came in (before going too in depth on the problem), but she did so with care and empathy. She was very sensitive to my comfort the entire time (ultimately, it ended up being a two visit thing since it was so bad). She fixed my issue, recommended a good regular dentist and was also just generally cool. Both she and the assistant were ladies I'd go have a beer with! I cannot say enough good things about all of the staff and my experience here. Hopefully I won't need any more of their services, but if I do, I'll come running! read more

I never loved going to anywhere that was medical related. But I have to say that after arriving at this office, I felt a little bit relieved. The atmosphere is absolutely amazing. I felt as if I was actually visiting someone's home because the atmosphere is very homey and doesn't make you feel like you are walking into a doctor's office. Staff: The staff was absolutely amazing. The front desk receptionist was outstanding from the time I made an appointment to the actual day of the procedure. She got me signed in smoothly and I didn't even feel overwhelmed with the new patient sign in procedure. My favorite part about checking in was that this office is all paper-less! As soon as I finished checking in, I sat down for not even a second and the assistants were ready to see me immediately! I hate waiting forever at the doctor's office, but they were quick! The assistants were EXTREMELY friendly. I was so nervous, but these assistants talked to you as if they knew you for years, which calmed my nerves. The assistants went over my medical history and took x-rays before the doctor saw me. Doctor & Procedure: Dr. Khosravian was so kind. He went over the x-rays that we took and he was so clear about everything. I'm not a medical guru and I don't understand medical jargon, but he really broke down everything down to where I knew exactly what was going on. He is very honest in his medical opinions, so it makes me feel reassured that he isn't only trying to get some money out of me, but he truly cares for my teeth. Once the procedure started, he made sure I was extremely numb before he even started anything. The procedure was quick and painless, something I can definitely say I'm grateful for. The assistant and doctor really made me feel less nervous because they tried to make me as comfortable as possible. Overall: No one likes to go to the doctor's, let alone get a root canal, but if I had to get another one, I would go here without hesitation. Wonderful atmosphere, staff, and doctor! Not visit related but it is a Sunday and I am having overwhelming pain that is affecting my vision and need an emergency root canal. ARCS comes up at the top of search when searching Austin Root Canal. The website provides info on emergency situations, the voicemail greeting gives a number for after hour emergencies, yet the doctor was very off-putting and seemingly annoyed by my call to him. I was told he won't do it until tomorrow and to just take some ibuprofen. read more

I called last week and made an appointment for my daughter because she was referred from another dental office. I was told I would be able to be seen that same week on Fri, which was great. I then gave my insurance information and they said they would get back to me prior to my appointment to give me an estimate of what they thought the services would cost. Later that say day, I was called back and was told that they could not see me on Friday because apparently their pediatric dentist would not be in for another 10 days. So I said fine and explained that I was trying to get an appointment prior to my dental insurance ending on the 1st of the month. They said no problem and that the dentist would be able to see my daughter and may even be able to do treatment the same day. Again, they reassured me they would check my insurance and give me an idea of the cost of the visit and any treatment needed etc. Well it had been a week and I hadn't heard from them, so I decided to call them and check up on the insurance information. When I called, they somehow were unable to find my daughter's appointment (really?) and then they asked me which number I called.. well there is only 1 number on their website, and the referral form I was given also only has 1 number, so not sure why they would be thinking I called somewhere else?? I also recognized the ladies voice from the previous week so was pretty surprised they couldn't find this appointment. Then the lady tells me she may have put in the wrong name, so she checked the date of birth, also wasn't really able to find it.. I then tried to help her remember the appointment from the previous week... well it seemed like it clicked.. However, she then goes to tell me that the pediatric dentist is going on vacation until the first of the month, and that they were gonna call people later today to let them know, which is why my daughter's appointment wasn't on there. All in all, I'm pretty disappointed with their scheduling coordinators. Not very professional. I have yet to meet the doctors, so I don't have anything to say about them. Just wish they could have told me this last week so I could have gotten my current dentist to refer me out to another dentist in the meantime. read more

This review is in regard to the Austin & Round Rock locations. The customer care is outstanding! Everyone from the front desk to the Dr makes the experience as comforting as possible. I was taken in on the day of my recommendation from my general dentist. Dr. Khosravian was quick to diagnose my problem and get me on my way to healing. Not even the numbing process was discomforting. Dr walks you through every step and warns you before anything he thinks may cause you discomfort (which it never did). I know this sounds like a paid advertisement, but I kid you not... my visits for a root canal were quick and efficient and I am grateful for Dr. Khosravian and his well staffed offices. I came in a few months ago for a second opinion on an issue with one of my teeth that was under neath a veneer. Unfortunately I was told the tooth couldn't be saved and would need extraction. Well 3 months later my wife just came in for a root canal and examination to see if her tooth could be saved. GREAT NEWS!!! Her tooth was saved and for someone with dental anxiety they made her feel as relaxed and at ease as possible. The Dr was very friendly, thorough at explaining procedure and showed us exactly what was done. Pricing was also very competitive compared to another specialist she had seen. Minimal time to do the root canal and again the Dr. and staff made my wife feel comfortable enough that she came out talking about how if she had experiences like that every time at the dentist she would probably go daily. I am so grateful for Dr. K and his staff. I was in horrible pain causing me to not be able to sleep and was told by all the other offices that I called I wouldn't be able to be seen for a couple of days. My husband called this office and they fit me in the same day even though they were booked. Dr. K is absolutely wonderful. I recently had a very bad infection and had my whole face swell up. He got me in there the next day to help drain the fluid and I immediately felt better. Today I got the actual root canal procedure and I can't believe I was so worried about it. Dr. K made sure I was never in any pain and paid attention to my stress levels. I was in pain and the first seven in network providers I called were not very accommodating. I thought I was going to wait several days (with this unbearable pain) before I could get an appointment. When I called the Root Canal Specialists, it was like being in opposite land. Jenelle answered the phone directly (no automated system) and she was more than empathetic, she was compassionate. She said she would talk to the Dr. and give me a call back. She called me back three times in an hour and a half to assure me she was still working on it. They made an arrangement to see me that day, and the Dr, and two of his staff stayed an hour after closing to take care of me. They gave me the exact amount of my co-pay before providing service so there would be no surprise. I've heard of "pain free" dentistry but never experienced it till I came here. I was actually able to relax while they were drilling one inch deep holes into my skull. I could go on, but you get the idea. read more
